I was delighted with the wonderful entry of Miniature Smoothhaired Dachshunds. Thank you to all the exhibitors who came to this well run show. MPD. 1. Ergis's, Siouxline Maverick. Lovely red puppy which had good width of chest and strong ribbing. Moved well with plenty of drive which showed off his excellent quarters. BPIB and BPIS. 2. No Name Given. Darker red dog with good reach of neck and depth of keel. Moved well keeping level topline. Preferred drive of the winner. PD. 1. Sim's, Little Wizard of Kelmbeck. Nice looking black and tan puppy. Difficult to judge as would not settle on the day. JD. 1. Melbournes', Melriding De Lafayette. Quality black and tan that moved around the ring to advantage. Good ribbing and quarters. 2. Williams and Rose's, Barratini Sebastian at Ashridge. Nice dog. Similar qualities to winner. Needs to mature. PGD. 1. Hartley's, Minimead Malachi at Lyrosh. Nice compact red dog. Lovely head and expression. Well handled. Moved well. LD. 1. Ergis's, Siouxline Indigo JW. Beautiful black and tan dog that moved around the ring with gusto. Good front with nice ribbing extending from withers. Well presented. BOB. 2. Melbourne's, Melriding Jerome. Very nice red dog that moved well. Good forehcest and ribbing. Good topline. OD. 1. Shelton's, Donnadoon Imagination at Barisse. Black and tan dog. Good depth of keel and well placed shoulders. Good topline leading to well rounded hindquarters. Moved nicely and has presence in the ring. RBD. 2. Ergis's, Siouxline Isaac JW Sh CM. Another nice dog that pushed winner all the way. Good head and conformation. Strong hindquarters that showed on the move. MPB. 1. Walker's, Brianolf Mystical Gem for Dorenian. Moved well on the day keeping level topline. Good depth of keel and strong ribbing. 2. Blackburn-Bennett's, Shelsall Magic Kisses at Shardagang. Nice black and tan puppy with good quarters. Preferred overall construction and movement of winner. PB. 1. Hardy's, Bensarka Kiss Me Kate at Kushwin. Very sound shaded red puppy that moved well driving well from the rear. Excellent construction. Very expertly handled. BPB. 2. Morris's, Bretarah Out Fox the Fox. Promising puppy. I prefer a fuller overall construction. JB. 1. Coxon's, D'arisca Striped Tease. Very close between first and second, however I preferred the movement and conformation of this red bitch. 2. Shelton's, Barisse High Frequency. As winner this black and tan has very good ribbing, depth of keel and kept topline at all times. PGB. 1. Shelton's, Barisse Spellbinder. Very pleasing class of puppies topped by this very nice compact bitch which had good width of chest and strong ribbing. Moved well keeping level topline. RBB. 2 Bailey-Tyson's, Shardagang Lizzy Parpiggle of Mazilba. Nice red that pushed winner all the way for the top spot. Well rounded construction that was emphasised on the move. LB. 1. Lombardelli's D'arisca Lorna Doone at Kelmbeck. Black and tan bitch with good prominent breastbone and nicely ribbed. Good hindquarters, kept topline on the move. 2. No Name Given. Nice red with good reach of neck. Prefer lower topline. Showed well on the move. OB. 1. Coxon's, Ch. D'arisca Golden Delicious. Red bitch. Good depth of keel and well placed shoulders. Good topline leading to well rounded hindquarters. Moved nicely and had presence in the ring. BB. 2. Hunt's, Ch/Can/Am Ch. Grandgables MS Supernatural at Carpaccio. Super lack and tan with impressive head carriage and ribbing. Strong front quarters. Preferred overall package in winner.
