Thank you for a
lovely entry of quality Mini Smooth Dachshunds. Temperaments were excellent. I
was pleased to see no dogs looked underfed, but, I felt that some of the
exhibits were too heavy for their frames and could drop a few ounces to give a
better outline with cleaner neck and shoulders.
MPD (1 0) 1 ANDISON’S CLENTRY
NICK THE BISCUIT. Well boned puppy with nice head, neck & shoulders; needs to
settle in topline, moved well. PD (3 1) CALLOW’S GARTHORNE TOP GEAR BEST
DOG PUPPY. Lovely quality, excellent head eye and ear carriage, long neck, well
laid shoulders, held topline on the move, well angulated quarters.

BARRANTINI DUSTIN. Naughty little chap, longer cast than one, moved out well. JD
(8. 3) MITCHELL’S BRONIA LANFRANCO. Super dog without any exaggeration, correct
shoulder placement & length of body, moved freely, driving out from strong
angulated quarters CC & BOB 2 MORTLOCK’S SIOUXLINE MAGNUS AT HERTSMERRY. Lovely
head shape and good oval front, level topline when settled but doesn’t show
himself to advantage. 3 ERGIS’ SIOUXLINE MAVERICK YD (5.1) 1 CALLOW’S
GARTHORNE GARCIA. Nice head neck and layback of shoulder, good length of ribbing
with well turned stifle & free flowing movement. 2 MELBOURNE’S
MELRIDING DE LAFAYETT Another good dog, lower to ground than 1, with level
topline and angulated quarters but needs to drive out more. 3
PRITCHARD’S HANNAMOUSE DANDE-LION LD (3.0) 1 ERGIS’ SIOUXLINE INDIGO. Clean
cut dog with all the essentials; good head & eye with arched neck running into a
level topline. 2 MELBOURNE’S MELRIDING JEROME, good head & well filled front,
correct length of ribbing and compact loin.3 ORTON’S SCALAMOR SOLOMONS
SEAL OD(7.2) 1 SHELTON’S DONNADOON IMAGINATION AT BARISSE. Eye catching dog;
lovely head, clean neck and shoulders, drives out well from nicely angulated
quarters and holds a good topline. RCC 2 PALIN’S MEREHILL DOUBLE TOPPING OVER
SANMIK. Another quality dog; good head and eye, correct front assembly, sound
mover but preferred the underline of 1. 3 HERRINGTON’S KATHINGTON CHANCE N

BANNONBRIG NOT ON YOUR NELLY, Clean cut puppy, super head and eye shape,
elegant neck, prominent breast bone, correct length of body. Moved well. 2
MEAD’S MINIMEAD MIZ LUCY LOU. Promising baby that needs to fine out, good
overall shape, correct front and hindquarters. 3

JAVA PB(7. 1) 1 HUNT’S CARPACCIO ROYAL PARADE. Stunning puppy that never put a
paw wrong; moves true and stands relaxed. Lovely shaped head, good length of
neck and body Pleased to see her win Res Best Puppy In Show. BP 2
LIVINGSTONE’S RUSSTECK PEATBOG FAIRY.
Another super bitch, just preferred head of 1, lovely in profile and moved true.

bitch with elegant neck and firm topline, good depth of chest and tight feet,
sound mover. 2 ERGIS’ SIOUXLINE EVANGELINA. Similar to 1 but not holding
topline today; nice length of body, strides out well.3 WALKER’S BRIANOLF
MYSTICAL GEM FOR DORENIAN YEARLING (5. 1) 1 WILLIAMS & ROSE’S TYTHE
TEMPEST. Correct length of muzzle and skull, well rounded ear’s, super front
construction, level topline, moved out well 2 ORTON’S SCALAMOR PASSION
FLOWER. Lighter frame than 1, good length of ribbing, firm topline and well

LIZZY. Naughty but nice; doesn’t do herself any favours when stacked but moves
with style; good depth of chest and correct body length.

elbows. Good sweep of keel, rounded rump & well angulated hindquarters, covers

balanced quality bitch with good head and expression, held topline at all times,
