MINIATURE SMOOTH
My first time giving tickets in Mini Smooths, I was struck by the great difference in type which made some decisions difficult. There were also several toyish heads with over small ears. Presentation and condition was on the whole good. PD. (5). 1. Yeomans', Klynerbyner Vim and Vigour. Beautifully balanced choc and tan. Good shoulders and front assembly. Well ribbed. Good underline and kept topline on the move. Moved with drive on lovely tight feet. 2. Callows', Garthorne Top Gear. Another nice one. Balanced b/t. Good front and rear angulation. On the move good in profile, going away not as true as winner. 3. Shuker's, Yewlitt Zavier. JD. (4). 1. Mitchell's, Bronia Lanfranco. S/r. Reasonable head. Lovely body, good front and lay of shoulder. Well ribbed. Best mover in the class. 2. Pritchard's, Hannamouse Dandi-Lion. B/t. Nice head. Well boned. Reasonably angulated. Not the keel of winner. Kept topline on the move. Seen in profile not enough drive. 3. Ergis', Siouxline Maverick. PGD . (5). 1. Shuker's, Yewlitt Xerox. Neat little s/r. Good bone. Reasonable forehand. Nicely angulated behind. Tended to lose topline when stacked. Moved well to win the class. 2. Butler's, Penrhiwgoch Smart Dragon. B/t. Similar size, sturdily made. Reasonable head. Lost his topline. 3. Jones's, Radclyffe Pinicola. LD. (3). 1. Richardson's, Dolyharp Madrigal at Belazieth. Elegant b/t. Good head, nice dark eye. Correctly laid shoulders. Well pronounced sternum. Good hind angulation. He was longer from hock to ground than second but moved out with reach and drive. He had beautiful feet. RCC. 2. Melbournes', Melriding de Lafayette. Nice b/t. Pleasant head. Well made front, reasonable ribbing and underline. Not the topline of winner on the move. 3. Orton's, Scalamor Solomons Seal. OD. (5). 1. Palins', Merehill Double Topping over Sanmik. I really liked this dog. A sound no nonsense type. Masculine head. He is balanced. Has good bone, nice front and rear, and is well muscled. He moved well with reach and drive. CC. 2. Ergis's, Siouxline Indigo. Good head, well made front. Not the length of winner but he has a nice well muscled rump. Moved rapidly. 3. Morris's, Ch. Morris Man of Dalegarth. V. (1). 1. Mitchell's, Ch. Switherland Lucia at Bronia. Very fit looking 10 years old. Small neat lovely outline stacked. Super teeth. Moved well. Not to see her go BVIS. MPB. (6). 1. Orton's, Scalamor Forget Me Not. S/r. Small but beautifully proportioned. Nice front and underline. Good feet. Moved well keeping level topline. 2. Kerrys', Sanmik One and Sixpence at Kireton. Well balanced b/t. Nice forehand, well angulated behind. Not the underline of winner. Moved out well. 3. Mead's, Minimead Miz Lucy Lou. PB. (8). 1. Ergis's, Siouxline Evangelina. B/t. Heading a super class of puppies. Good head, nice dark eye. Feminine bitch with good shoulder placement. Well pronounced sternum. Ideal underline. Nice rounded rump and good turn of stifle. In the bitch lineup and the challenge pulled out all the stops. CC and BOB. 2. Hunts', Carpaccio Royal Parade. Another well balanced bitch, albeit higher on the leg than winner. Everything in the right place. Preferred the movement of winner going away. 3. Richardson's, Belazieth Magic Pearl. JB. (7). 1. Mitchell's, Bronia Lucilla. Compact little bitch. Everything in proportion. Lovely front and well angulated behind. Moved with drive. 2. Williams and Rose's, Tythe Sea Breeze. Red in a slightly longer mould. I thought she would be my winner, but on the day not moving. 3. Morris's, Bretarah Out for the Fox. PGB. (10). 1. Youngs', Willowheath Gwendolen. B/t. of nice size. Balanced, good front assembly and correct hind angulation. Moved out well. 2. Meads', Minimead Misbehaving. Slightly smaller bitch. Well laid shoulders. Reasonable keel. Nice backend. Moved well. I preferred the head of the winner. 2. Salisburys', Brocklewood Babycham. LB. (14). 1. Ergis's, D'Arisca Define the Dream. Looked lovely stacked. Nice head. Good feet. Correct angulation fore and aft. Nice underline. Moved out well keeping level topline. 2. Callows', Garthorne Gazania. Not a lot between first and second. A compact little bitch. Just preferred the bone of winner. Moved well. 3. Reeds', Deercroft Devotion. OB. (2). 1. Meads', Minimead Maid Specially. What I call cobby. Well off for bone. Correct angulation front and rear. Good forechest. Nice tight feet. Moved well keeping a good outline. For me the picture was spoilt by a rather unfeminine head and expression. RCC.
