MINIATURE SMOOTH HAIRED

The breed as a whole has improved since I last judged them, but there is still room for improvement in hind movement, also the heads on some were very small with rather prominent round eyes. My winners pleased me. On a more serious note, I dismissed one exhibit from the ring as it would not be handled.

PD (5) 1 Reed’s Deercroft Double Dare. Just 6-months, presents a good overall picture, good eye and head, level topline, moved out well. BPD. 2 Williams’ Cwdarhian Walk the Line. Good neck and front, good spring of rib, not the head of one.

JD(5,1) 1 Kent’s Barratini Jeeves at Lokmadi. Dog of good length, prominent forechest. 2 Ashwell, Carter &Ergis’ Minimead Mr Noitall at Siouxline. Similar type to one but not moving so positively behind. 3 Kempton’s Thorne Lord of the Dance With Knockboy.

PGD(4,2) 1 Kent’s Barratini Jeeves. 2 Smith’s Caligari Storm Prince. Fair front and ribbing, well covered, unsettled when moving.

LD(5,1) 1 Ergis’ Siouxline Maverick JW ShCM. Good overall type, correct head and good eye, looked a little long in hock today. 2 Holland’s Zarosa Motivation. B/tan, good size, just a shade too narrow. 3 Mead’s Minimead Minisota.

OD(4,1) 1 Moes Aus NZCh Deercroft Discoverer With Carpaccio. Correct size, classic head and eye, prominent forechest, well sprung ribs, level topline, good angulation, brisk mover, CC. 2 Ergis’ Siouxline Indigo JW ShCM. Worthy Champion, scored in front, topline and ribbing, would prefer shorter hocks, RCC.

PB(8,1) 1 Ergis Siouxline Cinderella. Promising puppy with good proportions, true mover, BP. 2 Baldwin’s Beckel Bubbles. Not as mature as one but very well made with excellent bone. 3 Burley’s Mowbury Mona Lisa By Arbennik.

JB(11,2) 1 Shuker’s Yewlitt Amelia. A true standard in miniature, loved her head, good spring of rib and well angulated quarters, RCC. 2 Williams’ Celtichills Hot Chocolate at Cwmdarhian. Not the head of one, good forechest, would like more ribbing. 3 Holland’s Jealroie Black Candle at Zarosa.

PGB(7,1) 1 Punter’s Abbagirls Hi Bury For Welcumen. S/red, classic conical head, good reach of neck, firm topline, good length of ribbing. 2 Bursey’s Hartlake Sweet Damson. Would like better head and more angulation. 3 Stokes’ Webbers Josephine.

LB(9,1) 1 Ergis’ Siouxline Evangelina JW. B/tan, nice overall type, best head in the class, good reach of neck, fair mover. 2 Salisbury’s Brocklewood Babycham JW. Very close decision between these two, just preferred the overall picture of one. 3 Young’s Hartlake Marjory Seedling at Youngline.

OB(2) 1 Ch Carpaccio Royal Parade JW. Classic type, good head, elegant neck, prominent forechest, well laid shoulders, good spring of rib, firm topline, just the right amount of angulation to complete the picture. BCC & BOB. 2 Lashbrook’s Merrgarth Home Run at Highbend.
