MINIATURE SMOOTH
At this time, we find ourselves in the middle of trying to eradicate the cord1 mutation from our breeding stock. The results of this can be seen today in a the loss of consistant type. This is only to be expected and I believe that we will begin to address this in the next year or two. So it was back to basics as a judge. Fronts are what make a dachshund what it is. I looked for correct fronts and was able to find plenty to satisfy me. The line up for the bitch CC were all different in type but all had one thing in common, they ALL had totally correct fronts. V (1) 1 Watkinsons Manakoora Kho-O-Noor. Shaded red bitch in hard condition, used her excellent quarters to advantage. Well filled clean front. MPD (2,1) 1 Kings Don Luciano, well developed hindquarters which he used but still needs to develop in front. PD (4) 1 Reed's Deercroft Double Dare. B/T, very smart male with good bone and feet.
