DACHSHUND - MINIATURE SMOOTH HAIRED
PD (2) 1. Williams
Cwmdarhian Arizona, loved this richly marked b&t youngster, so well bodied and
muscled for age, well sprung ribs, strong neck, good forechest, well angulated
rear quarters. He has the correct conicle shaped head with dark eye, moved true
coming and going should have a bright future. BPD. 2. Shutt's Donnadoon Le
Mousquetaire, not the maturity of winner, and built smaller frame, presents a
pleasing outline standing with elegant reach of neck and well laid shoulders,
unsettled on the move.
JD (2) 1. Williams Cwmdarhian Can't Touch, quality youngster with
excellent head, good balance of muzzle to skull, strong jaw, well bodied with
good forechest, correct spring of rib of good length with level topline, strong
rear quarters used well on the move. 2. Hunt's Carpaccio Captain Scarlet, shaded
red, good head with dark oval eye, well balanced, lovely to handle on table,
firm well made body with good neck and shoulders, well ribbed with level topline.
PGD (4) 1. Worton's Cwmdarhian Little Monty, well bodied of good
length, well sprung of rib, oval chest, with good depth and pleasing underline.
He is well muscled, with strong quarters, pleasing size with good head, strong
muzzle, dark oval eye and black pigmentation. Moved out well to take the class.
2. Shutt's Pachego Explorer for Donnadoon, Two year old shaded red dog, oval
chest, well angulated forequarters, good topline standing, just not as steady on
move as winner. 3. William's Cwmdarhian Billy the Kid.
OD (3) A quality class all three dogs, although of differing types,
would have been worthy winners, a pleasure to judge, I chose for my eventual
winner:- 1. Kent's Barratini Jeeves at Lokmadi, it was good to see this
youngster again having judged him as a youngster, now fully mature, he presents
a stunning outline standing with ring presence that cannot be ignored, excels in
neck and forequarters, with prominent sternum, oval chest. Well ribbed with firm
level topline both standing and on the move. Strong rear quarters he powers
around the ring, can be a little proud of his tail at times but forgave this as
I loved his attitude. Pleased to award him Best Dog. 2. Callow's Gad About at
Garthorne, on the table thought this dog would be my winner, loved his compact
make and shape, so well balanced all through, a pleasure to handle, with muscled
well ribbed body, oval chest, firm level topline and strong hammy quarters, just
lacked the attitude of the winner. RBD. 3. William's Cwmdarhian Benjamin Button.
PB (2) 1. Hunt's Cwmdarhian Back to Alabama BP & Res BB, just 6 months,
I absolutely loved this bitch a close decision between her and the eventual
winner, change of handler in the final award just unsettled her on the move.
Sister to the PD winner and similar remarks apply, for me she just had the edge
in head type. She is a lovely size, so well balanced all through, firm and well
muscled, well ribbed with level topline, correct angulation and strong rear
quarters, moved soundly coming and going. 2. Payton's Marajo Saphira's Fire, 9
month chocolate and tan bitch, smaller in stature than winner, good forechest
and level topline standing, presents a balanced outline.
JB (2) 1. Kent's Lokmadi Steffy Byng, b&t pleasing to go over, with
typey conicle shaped head, good neck and well laid back shoulders, good
forequarters leading into well ribbed body. 2. Williams Cwmdarhian What a Carry
On another promising b&t, just lost out on movement in the class to winner who
was a little steadier on the day. Compactly made with prominent sternum, oval
chest, well ribbed body, with good underline. Well angulated rear quarters.
PGB (1) 1. Kent's Lokmadi Steffy Byng.
OB (3) 1. Callow's Garthorne's Miss Dynamite JW Loved this quality
bitch, a real pleasure to handle on the table, so well made, stunning head with
dark eyes, correctly made forequarters with oval chest and prominent sternum,
she is compactly made with well ribbed body, correct underline and excellent
topline, held on the move. Well angulated rear quarters with short hocks, moved
and showed well I was pleased to award her Best Bitch. 2.Shutt's Metadale
Fabulous Florence for Donnadoon, shaded red with excellent pigmentation,
tapering muzzle to head, with dark oval eye. Not as steady on move as winner. 3.
Scott's Shemby Crafty Kate.
Breeder Williams Cwmdarhian Team, On the day this relatively new kennel
presented some quality dachsunds, it is obvious from those shown they are now
making their mark on the show ring, breeding to type. Well done.
