BITCHES: I was so sorry Mrs Kath Bethel was indisposed and
unable to continue after OD. We all wish her all the best in every way. I
continued with the bitch entry but also judged the BPD and the DCC winners to
complete the top awards. BPD 1 Mead's Ardenrun Aeron Into Minimead. Beautiful
clear red, I see he is a Leap Year boy! Lovely head, dark eyes, slightly arched
muzzle, well formed ears of decent length, good reach of neck, well formed
prominent front with dimples, pleasing shoulder and upper arm angles, good bone,
decent padded feet, top and under line correct, lovely turn of quarters,
balanced profile movement, super coat and condition, most promising. BP. OD 1
Worton's Cwmdarhian Va Va Voom. B/t, a new one to me, very masculine head with
dark eye, neck flowed nicely into topline, well placed shoulders, compact, well
fitting front and elbows, good bone and feet, ribs well back, level and sound in
profile with extension on the move, correct tailset, a good solid masculine dog
I see is by my CC winner last time I judged, rather prominent tan markings on
forechest detract when coming towards but that is just a cosmetic feature, I
thought him a very fine dog worthy of the CC.
MPB(14, 4) 1 McCauley's Elnside Pretty Picture. Red, very well named,
her outline on the move stood out in this lovely class keeping a super top and
underline, very good hind extension, correct tailset, nice feminine head, dark
eye, well formed front assembly, good bone and feet, very promising, BPB. I see
her litter brother won MPD. 2 Mortlock's Hertsmerry Catch A Star. Red of similar
build to first, with sound movement and lovely profile, well constructed front,
good feet, head neck and topline all pleased, faintly longer in loin than first,
but sturdy and sound in rear. 3 Kent's Lokmadi Paper Tiger.
PB(13) 1 Callow's Garthorne Little Eva. Red, very pleasing in head neck
and forehand, was sound both ways, a bit unsettled on the table but steadied up,
very nice turn of stifle, good hind extension. 2 Salisbury's Brocklewood Calypso.
Red, very eyecatching with lovely head, eye and earset, prominent front with
dimples, nice feet, good flow of ribbing and underline, tight elbows, lovely
body shape, super topline, just preferred the hind movement of first. 3 L Paper
Tiger.
JB(11, 1) A rather difficult class of all shapes and sizes. 1 Shelton's
Barisse Arbennik Isoldes Endeavour. Red, I thought a clear winner, lovely head
and neck, prominent front with neat elbows, good feet, topline and ribbing very
good, correct tailset, well formed quarters, moved soundly all ways. 2
Mitchell's Bronia Carmina At Imirika. B/t of sturdy make and shape, head not her
fortune, rather full in eye but good neck, flows into pleasing forehand with
tight elbows, not as prominent a front as first, ribbing good, level and sound
on the move, nice turn of stifle, short hocks. 3 Anderson & Peel's Clentry
Sweetie.
PGB(5, 2) 1 Daykin's Barratini Margo. Red, really lovely, lengthy
elegant head with super dark eye and shape, neck fitted beautifully into correct
forehand, good bone and feet, lovely top and underline, lengthy ribbing,
excellent quarters with great hind kickback, covered a lot of ground with her
reachy stride. 2 Melbourne's Melriding Berengaria. B/t of different type, but
just as lovely in all aspects, her well formed body shape, looked super in
profile, excellent front and hind balance on the move, good bone, feet and
ribbing, a most pleasing picture from all angles, excellent coat and body
condition, perhaps a shade too well covered, preferred the slightly cleaner
outline of first in stance but two lovely bitches. 3 Phillip's Mosiarto Top
Totty At Daxphilly.
LB(12, 2) A very good class to sort out. 1 Reed's Cedax Octavia
Surprise For Deercroft. B/t, I thought she was a lovely puppy last time I judged
her, head ok, dark eye, reachy neck, very good prominent forehand, good bone and
feet, lovely body shape and ribbing, liked her correct turn of stifle with short
neat hocks, kept a good flowing outline in profile and looked super in stance. 2
Kent's Lokmadi Hidden Dragon. S/red with beautiful head eye and earset, reachy
neck, correct shoulder placement and upper arm, good depth and sweep of keel and
length of ribbing, topline and tailset correct, moved with alacrity and style, a
little more weight around the loin would, for me, complete a lovely prospect. 3
Walkling's Stargang Ring Of Roses.
OB(7, 2) 1 Blackburn-Bennett's Ch Lokmadi Sea Holly At Stargang. Red
with a lovely lengthy conical head, super dark well shaped eye, correct earset,
arched neck flowed sweetly into a super body shape, well shaped pro-sternum with
dimples, classic shoulder and upper arm placement, neat elbows, good bone,
padded feet, correct topline and tailset, nice turn of stifle, decent second
thigh, giving balanced hind thrust, I see her litter brother won RCC, a pair to
be proud of. CC & BOB and Group shortlist. 2 Blackburn's Ch Sonderbar Billie
Jean Of Stargang (Imp). Red I have judged before and liked, another lovely head
super neck into well formed front which I thought faintly heavy, topline,
underline and ribbing all good, strong hind end with thrust, nice short hocks,
good bone and feet, excellent coat and condition. 3 Hunt's Cwmdarhian Back To
Alabama At Carpaccio JW.
VB(1) 1 Reed's Deercroft Devotion JW. Clear red, a little 7 year old
beauty with a lovely perfectly balanced body shape from her prominent front to
correct tailset and turn of quarters, sound in all departments, in super body
condition, lovely headpiece with correct dark eye and nice earset so important
in dachshunds and often lacking in this entry. I was delighted to give her RCC
and BVIB.
