Some lovely exhibits but I was shocked to find a few with very dirty teeth & overgrown nails. I find it hard to believe exhibitors would think this would be overlooked – this is basic hygiene. Having owned Min S/h Dachs, I found them very low maintenance, no long hair to groom, so teeth & nails would be paramount.
PD (5) 1 Hunt’s Carpaccio Red Adair, 8 months red in gleaming condition, smart boy, nicely angulated quarters, good reach of neck, still a baby but good bone, promising youngster, held topline at all times. RBD; 2 Allen’s Royaldach King Solomon, higher on the leg, would like to see him with more body. Moved OK; 3 Jones’ Royaldach Rockin Robin. JD (2) 1 Price & Willams’ Cwmdarhian It The Road Jack, b/t 16 months, full forechest, just too long in the hocks. Moved out well but lost topline. PGD (2) 1 Shuker’s Yewlitt Dougal, b/t eyecatching, good keel & ribbing, classic head, well muscled body & angulated quarters, oval forechest, good topline, used the large ring to his advantage. BD. LD (4) 1 Ergis’ Siouxline Levi Smart, red, looked a picture stood, made full use of the ring on the move keeping topline, well angulated quarters. Little fine, has time on his side; 2 Phillips’ Jentiki Red Chilli Pepper of Robinswood, compact red, good forechest & ribs. Preferred neck of 1, bit erratic on the move; 3 Thomas’ Cwmdarhian Butch Cassidy at Acedachs. OD (1) A.
PB (7) 1 Hughes’ Julidachs Jocasta, promising puppy, 8 months, lovely head, long neck into well placed shoulders, good angulation quarters, well sprung ribs for age, moved true keeping her topline; 2 Williams’ Cwdarhian Dolce Gabbana, completely different type to 1, very compact little lady, feminine head, very well bodied for age, moved well, well presented. Preferred the elegance of 1; 3 Rollinson’s Cwmdarhian Lady Marmalade by Diamoddax. JB (5) 1 Rollinson’s Diamonddax Royal Jubilee, neat young lady well balanced, sweet head, adequate bone & ribbing, moved out well keeping her topline; 2 Burkes’ Miss Firefly of Ecameadow, needs to carry more weight, looks cut up in her underline. Moved OK, windy weather made her unsettled. PGB (7) 1 Shukers’ Hudgemoor Much Ado at Yewlitt, well balanced girl, lovely head & eye, compact well muscled, super rounded quarters, moved true coming & going; 2 West’s Yewlitt Dinah to Archidax, another smart girl, smaller type, nicely made, similar to 1, neat forechest, moved freely, well presented. LB (8) 1 Reeds’ Cedax Octavia Suprise for Deercroft, super b/t lady of correct size & proportions, well off for bone, tight elbows, good depth & well sprung rib, nice keel, made full use of ring, true coming & going keeping topline at all times. BOB; 2 Hughes’ Batendach Coppa Rose for Julidachs, red of good proportions, sound in body, neat chest, feminine head, hindquarters moderately angulated, steady mover. OB (2) 1 Reeds’ Deercroft Devotion, red of 8 years, still very impressive, very sound no exaggeration, lovely head & eye, correct front assembly, rounded quarters, moved with style, pushed hard for BOB, superb outline & underline. RBB; 2 Ergis’ Melbourne & Holdsworth’s Sioux Alliance with Melriding, another good bitch, adequate bone, good underline, lovely head & reach of neck.
