Thankfully there
was a better entry here in terms of both numbers and quality. With just one
exception, weight was not an issue in this variety. There seems to be much more
consistency in type.
PD(4) 1 Coxon's D'Arisca Full On. BP, DCC & BOB, Hound Puppy Group 3.
Super 8 mth b/t out of the top drawer, loved his style and deportment, super
head carriage, has a handsome conical headpiece, had the forehand I was looking
for, well filled crook and snug fitting elbows, well balanced in outline and
angulation, is well proportioned in terms of height to length, with good ground
clearance, firm in topline, stands firm and true in both fore and hindquarters,
in excellent jacket and supple skin, moved out soundly with some style, could
find nothing to put past him. Was well within the weight limit and will look
even better with maturity. 2 Weir's D'Arisca Prince Of Darkness At Ambreglo.
Another 8 mth b/t of a similar type, although out of a different litter, has
immediate appeal, again liked his development in the forehand, not quite the
outline of first and can be a bit proud with his tail, sound enough in movement,
plenty to spare with the weight. 3 Dunne's Honig Hans Solo.
JD(4) 1 Hunt's Carpaccio Red Adair. RCC. High quality s/r of just 12
mths, holds a super outline at the stand, with his firm well conditioned body,
has good ground clearance, excellent top and underline, balanced angulation in
both fore and hindquarters, well within the weight limit, moved out soundly and
was close up to Full On in the challenge, to be picky does not have the same
appeal in head and felt that he lacked the spark of Full On. 2 Bastable's
Chrishanes Maxwell Edison. 15 mth b/t with immediate appeal, of similar size to
first, balanced in outline, although he is well constructed does not have the
same development in his hindquarters as first, holds himself well on the move
but with not the same degree of soundness. 3 Hall's Man At The Top Asocjacja
Dunraggit.
LD(2) 1 Blackburn-Bennett's Stargang Avenger. R/brindle youngster of 13
mths, well proportioned and with good ground clearance, soundly constructed, has
a handsome conical headpiece and dark eye, perhaps too much length of neck,
ribbing carried well back, would prefer shorter length of hock and better front
feet, very unsettled by the acoustics of the noisy PA system. 2 Shutt's
Donnadoon Le Mousquetaire. Fully mature 3 yr b/t of diminutive stature, pleasing
proportions and firm outline, liked his well developed forehand construction and
ribbing, moved ok but not with the same drive as first.
OD(3) 1 Coxon's Ch D'Arisca I Do Declare. Fully mature 3 yr b/t with
plenty to spare regarding weight limit, long, low and level, of very pleasing
type and outline, as to be expected has the development in forechest, ribbing
and angulation required to make it to the top, to be picky I would prefer more
length in muzzle, moved soundly but lost out to the rising stars for top honours
today. 2 Jamison's Ir Ch Barisse Spreads The Majic With Smartdac. Fully mature 4
yr b/t of some appeal with firm, well balanced outline and good ground
clearance, at the top of the weight limit, nicely put together with good ribbing
carried well back, pleases in firm topline and smooth flow to underline which
gained him his place over third, would prefer to see less length in the hocks. 3
Kent's Lokmadi Ocean's Eleven.
PB(7) Lovely class of quality pups. 1 Midgley's Benzden Tuscan Rose.
Quality b/t of 9mths, of lovely type, holds a firm outline with good ground
clearance, is well balanced an proportioned, most appealing in head/muzzle, good
forehand construction and well ribbed back, sound easy mover. 2 Coxon's D'Arisca
Fully Fashioned. B/t, 9 mth litter sister to Full On, again appealed for type,
has excellent development of forechest with prominent pro sternum and well
filled crook, would like to see more length in her muzzle, preferred the more
compact outline and better lay back in shoulder of first. 3 Morrison's Benzden
Clinique Happy.
JB(3) 1 Kent's Lokmadi On Silent Wings. Top quality red of 15 mths with
immediate appeal, way within the weight limit, beautiful head and expression, of
excellent construction all through, very pleasing in her forechest, holds an
excellent outline on the move, tended to sink into herself at the stand, moved
easily in profile, but was slightly wide moving away. 2 Hall's Most Charming
Girl Asocjacja Dunraggit. Most attractive b/t of 16 mths, of similar weight to
first but with slightly more ground clearance, looks most attractive at the
stand, does not match the angulation or movement of first, I would like to see
less length in the hocks. 3 Morrison's Benzden Lovestruck Floral.
PGB(3) 1 Danter's Demilee Moon Beam At Danterdax. This 20 mth b/t stood
out in this class, projected a balanced outline, liked her head and expression,
was well constructed with good forechest and ribbing well back, had the top and
underline I was looking for, liked her shorter length of hock, moved out the
best here. 2 Morrison's Benzden Eesat Tease. Larger framed dark s/r who had good
forechest development and the required angulation in the forehand, this was not
matched in her hindquarters, therefore tended to ride up in her topline on the
go around. 3 Dunne's Honig Little Miss India.
LB(3) 1 Kent's Lokmadi Paper Tiger. Top class 18 mth b/t, was a stand
out here, real Dachshund in miniature, lovely headpiece, good development
through the front, with well filled crook, does not need to get any deeper,
perhaps would look better with a little more ground clearance, firm in topline
and with good sweep to underline, good hindquarter development with well rounded
rump. Moved out soundly. 2 Coxon's D'Arisca Be Dazzled. Fully mature 3 yr s/r,
slightly lower to ground than first, liked her construction with well laid
shoulders and return of upperarm, had good bone and feet, however, she did not
hold the firm outline or flow of underline as first. 3 Weir's D'Arisca Dark
Dahlia Of Ambreglo.
OB(3) 1 Hunt's Carpaccio Crimson Ribbon. CC. 2 Coxon's D'Arisca Damsel
In A Dress. RCC. Both high class soundly constructed bitches of similar size and
weights, well within the limit. Both have the constructional attributes one is
looking for, the determining factor between the two here was poise deportment
and soundness of movement. Ribbon is a s/r who holds her outline so well on the
go around, Damsel has the distinctive outline and excellent head carriage of her
Affix. 3 Kent's Kiswahili Linda Lokmadi.
