Dachshund (Miniature Smooth Haired)

I was very pleased with my entry of Standard and Mini Smooth-haired Dachshunds. I would like to thank everybody who exhibited.The quality in both breeds was very high. Strong toplines, strong forearms and wrists, temperaments were good and presentation was excellent.

MPD(4, 1) 1 Hunt's Carpaccio Red Adair. Superb, so balanced, lovely head, dark eye giving an excellent expression, very good reach of neck, well laid shoulders, excellent topline, good front and forechest, good ribbing, pleasing underline, well angulated, strong quarters, good bone and feet, excellent mover. Res CC. 2 Daykin's Barratini Jonny Cash. Lovely red, beautiful balanced head of good length, well filled muzzle, good eye and expression, well placed ears, good reach of neck, good topline, front and forechest, good clearance and underline, well angulated, good bone, moved well. 3 Shutt's Shantallah All Spiced Up For Donnadoon.

PD(2) 1 Blackburn-Bennett's Stargang Avenger. Very mature for his age, excellent overall picture (dry). Most beautiful balanced head, well moulded foreface, lovely dark keen eye, well set ears, excellent reach of neck, well laid shoulder and upperarm, excellent top and underline with good clearance, very well angulated, correct croup, strong bone and quarters, good ribbing, moved very well with good reach and drive. CC and BOB. 2 Shelton's Barisse Eragon. Very nice black and tan, very good head, well balanced, lovely eye and expression, well filled foreface, very good reach of neck, good shoulder and topline, correct croup, good front and keel, a little shorter in ribbing than first, good underline, well angulated, moved very well.

JD(3) 1 Ergis' Siouxline Levi. Very well put together, makes a lovely picture, most beautiful head, profile and front on, well moulded strong foreface, lovely eye, well set ears, good reach of neck, good topline, correct croup, very good front and keel, power without heaviness, good clearance, very well angulated, strong bone, excellent on the move, could see him work. 2 Carey's Swingletrees Abracadabra. Very pleasing, balanced head, very well filled foreface, slightly shorter than first, well set ears, nice eye and expression, good neck, front and forechest, well angulated, good bone and feet, moved very well. 3 Burton's Swingletrees Razzamatazz.

PGD (2) 1 Punter's Welcumen Guinness. Very good elegant black and tan. So well balanced. Beautiful, masculine, aristocratic head, strong in muzzle, dark eye, good reach of neck, good topline, well rounded croup, good front and ribbing, very well angulated, good bone and feet, good mover. 2 Jones &Williams' Cwmdax Red Robin. Very nice youngster, beautiful head, well filled foreface, dark eye, good reach of neck, good topline and underline, good front, forechest, ribbing and croup, strong bone and feet, moved well in front, a little unsettled at rear.

LD(7, 1) 1 Burton's Swingletrees Just In Time. Beautiful, excellent balanced head, strong muzzle, good eye and expression, well set ears, very good reach of neck, level strong topline, very good front, keel and ribbing, excellent angulation, good bone, strong feet, correct croup, good underline, moved with good ground cover, best mover in class. 2 Melbourne's Metadale Nikolai Of Melriding. Very good balanced head, shorter than first, well filled muzzle, dark eye with pleasing expression, well set ears, good reach of neck, very good topline, well rounded croup, good front and keel, well angulated, movement ok. 3 Phillips' Jentiki Red Chilli Pepper Of Robinswood.

OD(8, 2) 1 Roberts' Ch Denver Darling Harry Potter. Stylish masculine black and tan, very good head, balanced with well filled muzzle, nice dark eye, keen expression, well set ears, good reach of neck, strong topline, good front, forechest and ribbing, well angulated, good bone, moved very well with good ground clearance. 2 Coxon's Ch D'Arisca I Do Declare. Very good black and tan, well balanced head, slightly finer than first, lovely dark eye, well set ears, good reach of neck, good topline, well rounded croup, good front and keel, good underline, good bone, moved well. 3 Blackburn's Welcumen Red Rum At Stargang.

MPB(10, 3) 1 Rollinson's Cwmdarhian Lady Marmalade By Diamonddax. Very feminine, lovely head, dark eye, sweetest expression, well filled muzzle, well arched neck, well set ears, super topline, very good front, keel and bone, well angulated, strong legs and feet, moved well front and rear. 2 Blackburn's Stargang Morning Glow. Very nice picture, most beautiful houndy head, good profile and front on, strong muzzle, keen eye, well set ears giving the right expression, good reach of neck, good topline, front and keel, good underline, well angulated, good clearance, moved well in front, a little loose at rear. 3 Hughes' Julidachs Jocasta.

PB(6, 1) 1 Blackburn-Bennett's Stargang Evora. Beautifully balanced all over. Most beautiful head, well moulded foreface, lovely keen eye, well set ears, good arched neck, good topline, very good front, forechest, very well angulated, good bone, feet and underline, good clearance, moved with good reach, good in front, a little loose at rear. 2 Worswick's Dolyharps Symphony. Black and tan, well balanced, lower to ground than first, good head, well filled muzzle, pleasing eye and expression, well set ears, good reach of neck, strong topline, good front and forechest, well angulated, moved well. 3 Feddery &Pomphrey's Stargang Corvette At Santorna.

JB(6, 1) 1 Salisbury's Brocklewood Calypso JW. Red, very pleasing outline, beautiful head, strong, good length of muzzle, well set ears, good reach of neck, good topline, front, forechest and croup, good ribbing and underline, well angulated, strong feet and bone, moved very well. 2 Lombardelli's Mylforbe Fleur De Lys At Kelmbeck. Black and tan, balanced head, good, well filled muzzle, dark eye, well set ears, giving good expression, good neck and topline, good front, keel and underline, good angulation, low to ground, moved well. 3 Burton's Swingletrees Eiderdown.

UGB(3) 1 Kerry's Brocklewood Bee's Knees At Kireton. Good head, well set ears, good eye, good reach of neck, good topline, well rounded croup, very good front, keel, ribbing and underline, good angulation, bone and feet, good clearance, moved well. 2 Paterson's Zaize Colourful Maize. Good size, lovely head, well moulded foreface, well set ears, good neck, topline and croup, good front, deeper than first, good angulation, moved well.

PGB(4, 1) 1 Mitchell's Bronia Carmina At Imirika. Good outline, a tad deep, but enough clearance, good head and muzzle, nice shaped eye, well set ears, good neck and topline, good front and keel, long ribbing, good underline, good angulation, moved well. 2 Boyce's Tysar Moon Riber Of Hollygor. Lovely balanced head, well filled muzzle, dark eye, excellent reach of neck, good topline, very good front, keel, underline, bone and feet, very well angulated, lost out on the move. 3 Walker's Donnadoon Tiger Feet For Dorenian.

LB(13, 3) 1 Daykin's Barratini Margo. Very attractive, long balanced head, clean profile, medium eye well set, long arched neck, blends into a level topline, correct croup, good front, forechest, upper arm, ribbing and underline, very well angulated, good bone and feet, moved well. 2 Melbourne's Golden Algonquinette Of Melriding. Very neat, good proportions, good head and eye, well set ears, long neck, good shoulders, strong topline, slightly steep croup, good front, breast bone, ribbing and underline, well angulated, strong legs and feet, moved well. 3 Williams' Cwmdarhian What A Carry On.

OB(6, 1) 1 Blackburn's Ch Sonderbar Billie Jean At Stargang (Imp). Well balanced, not too long, balanced head, sweet expression, well set ears, long arched neck, good strong topline, good croup, forechest, breastbone and underline, very well angulated, good bone, legs and feet, excellent mover, front, rear and ground covering. On the move the ring was hers, CC. 2 Hunt's Ch Cwmdarhian Back To Alabama At Carpaccio JW. Black and tan, elegant outline, lovely head and eye, well placed ears, good length of neck, dry front, very good breastbone, very good topline and underline, good bone, well angulated, moved very well.
