Thank you to
all exhibitors who made the journey to Kelso and my day memorable. First time
CC's were on offer for this breed at Border Union. Due to variable weather
conditions I felt it safer to stay in the tent than risk getting rained on,
saying that the rough ground did make it difficult to assess movement at times.
PD (7,2) 1. Hunt's Carpaccio Red Adair Lovely conical shaped head,
high set ears held correctly close to the cheek, dark, intelligent almond
shaped eye and Long, muscular neck into shoulders. Pleasing forequarters with
plenty of bone to full, broad, compact feet. Well ribbed up, strong loin
holding topline, full well muscled rump giving power and drive on the move. BP
2. Fieke's Lustrum Bachelor Boy B/T not the hound head of 1. Good forechest,
full and oval, strong loin and round, broad rump. 3. Barnes Lutzana Zeus JRD 1
Melbourne's Bronia Machiavelli of Melriding Lovely shaped head, slight stop,
dark eye with intelligent expression. High set ears used well. Long neck and
level topline. Nice bone broad well-arched feet.
ND 1 Fieke's Lustrum Bachelor Boy.
LD 1 Melbourne's Metadale Nikolai of Melriding S/Red another typical
pleaseing head, oval chest, giving plenty of heart and lung room. Full broad
feet, nicely arched. Strong well muscled loin, clean underline.
OD (5,1) 1. Blackburn's Welcumen Red Rum at Stargang. Attractive red
dog, he came in the ring with a look of ARROGANT intelligence. Well set ears
used to advantage, long muscular neck, into good layback of shoulder. Level
topline and strong loin, well ribbed up to protect those vital organs. Strong
broad rump full of muscle tone used to drive around the ring. CC & BOB. 2.
Herrington's Ch Kathington Coeur De Lion B/T another from the top drawer.
Excellent conical shaped head with slight stop, darkest almond shaped eye, good
strong underjaw with correct scissor bite. Prominent breast bone and full oval
chest, correct ground clearance. Well ribbed up, strong well muscled loin and
well defined hindquarter used to power him round the ring. RCC 3. Kent's
Lokmadi Ocean's Eleven JW.
PB. (4) 1. Blackburn-Bennett's Stargang Evora, nothing to hide.
Feminine head of good proportions arch of neck into well placed shoulders,
chest oval and full with plenty of room for heart and lungs, strong muscled
forelegs, broad full feet. Hindquarters round, broad and good angulations.
Moved with positive drive. 2. Manacas Amber Cover at Wilmerella Appealing red,
well set ears, good clean dentition. Nice chest plenty of room for heart and
lungs. Needs time to tighten up behind not the positive action of one. 3.
Andison & Peel's Clentry Golddigga. Jr. 4 Herrington's Kathington Chance to
Dream. Super B/T elegant well muscled neck, nicely filled front and depth of
keel, well ribbed up and clean underline. Good broad full feet well knuckled
toes, which she used to move around the ring with firm free flowing stride. One
I feel for the future. 2. Kent's Lokmadi Paper Tiger. Happy out going girl,
eager to please. Feminine head of correct proportions. Level topline, slightly
longer in loin than one still in proportion. Good ground clearance. 3. Andison
& Peel's Clentry Despicable Me.
NB (2) 1 Herrington's Kathington Chance to Dream. PG 2. Andison &
Peel's Clentry Sweetie B/T A lot to like about this girl on the stand. Elegant
long neck, strong level topline, well muscled loin. Plenty of bone and
substance. A shame she seemed to find the rough ground tricky. 2. Fieke's
Lustrum April Love. Feeling a little chilled today which did not help her
topline and movement. L 2 Kent Lokmadi Hidden Dragon Red Everything in the
right place. The most appealing hazel eyes. Correct front and rear
construction. Smart length and width of ribbing. Moved with a free flowing
positive stride. I had considered her for higher honours. 2. Melbourne's
Melring Berengaria B/T feminine head, as it should be front. Pleasant ribbing
and hind angulations. Good bone and very sound. I Preferred the harder
condition of 1 today.
O (5) A lovely class down the line and some difficult decisions to be
made. 1. Blackburn-Bennett's Sandanca Silver Lady at Stargang. Took my eye as
she came in the ring with her striking Silver dapple colour. From the tip of
her nose to the end of her tail she just flowed with excellent body type and
proportions, ground clearance. Beautiful front layback of shoulders, depth of
chest and well ribbed up and delightfully well muscled, hind angulations. She
moved around the ring with elegant driving action, CC 2. Blackburn's, Ch
Sonderbar Billie Jean at Stargang. Red Very sound keeping her topline. Charming
attractive head and good eye, long well muscled neck. Ample of bone throughout,
broad feet, well arched toes. Today preferred the ring presence of winner. 3.
Hunt's Ch Cwmdarhian Back to Alabama at Carpaccio JW. Another worthy champion.
