I really enjoy judging the Mini Smooths. Today the
quality I felt was extremely good, making some decisions very close. I was
wanting a good fit, functional hound that is very sound in movement, hence I did
move them quite a lot.
MPD(4, 1) 1 Blackburn-Bennett's Stargang Avenger. This brindle mature
puppy is so full of his own importance, great clean outline, strong long neck,
keeps his topline at all times, used his quarters on the move, so sound, a great
future. Today also won Res CC along with his BP. 2 Hunt's Carpaccio Red Adair.
Another quality puppy, red with good classic shape and enjoying his day out,
full of confidence, just not quite so positive in front as the winner, but very
nice. 3 Allen's Royaldach's King Solomon.
PD(2) 1 Shelton's Barisse Eragon. Black/tan with most pleasing outline,
good topline, excellent front and correct feet, shown in great firm body
condition. 2 Wolsey's Donnadoon Jolly Roger For Glyndwr. Red boy who was
definitely feeling the cold today, relaxing his topline, his construction is
good and he was sound.
JD(5, 2) 1 Ergis' Siouxline Levi. This red boy commands
attention from the moment he enters the ring, his proud head carriage, strong
arched neck, superb topline both stacked and on the move, really uses his strong
muscled rear, in superb fit and firm condition. CC, although young, I was not
surprised when told this was his second and his third will be very well
deserved. 2 Scott's Wolferlow Captain Bellamy. Black and tan with great
headpiece, not the flow of neck of above, good deep keel, strong hocks, correct
tail carriage. 3 Burton's Swingletrees Razzamatazz.
PGD(2, 1) 1 Neill-Fraser's Granadan Revelation At Baxendale. A black
and tan shown in good body condition, pleasing balance to head shape and sound
front, his topline needs to be firmer, good angulation behind but tends to toe
in on the move.
LD(7) 1 Phillips' Jentiki Red Chilli Pepper Of Robinswood. Liked this
red with lovely moulding to head, sound in front with good clean shoulder, firm
topline at all times, giving a good clean outline. 2 Muggleton's Mosiarto Mister
Motivator. This black and tan had a most pleasing shape on the table, he just
does not have quite the flow of the winner today, feeling the cold a little but
a very sound pleasing dog. 3 Burton's Swingletrees Just In Time.
OD(7, 4) 1 Blackburn's Welcumen Red Rum At Stargang. This red has the
classic clean outline, make and shape, good head and strong arched neck, good
layback of shoulder, level topline, moved soundly, but in the challenge just
lacked the wow factor of the two youngsters today. 2 Herrington's Kathington
Coeur De Lion. Black and tan who is another top notch dog, clean outline and
keel, shoulders good but lacked the freedom in front of above, shown in the best
of condition and should do well. 3 Yeoman's Klynerbyner Vim And Vigour.
GCD(1) 1 Neill-Fraser's Granadan Revelation At Baxendale.
MPB (10, 1) 1 Williams' Cwmdarhian Dolce Gabbana. Headed a really good
class of promising babies all at different stages of their development, liked
this red baby for her balance and pleasing outline. 2 Kerry's Brocklewood Bacall
At Kireton. Red who was leggier and not so mature or developed yet, but she has
a great shape and outline, should mature well. 3 Muggleton's Zarosa Stunning In
Black For Mosiarto.
PB(5) 1 Herrington's Kathington Chance To Dream. Really liked this
black and tan baby shown in tip top condition, in firm body with coat shining,
she moved well, especially her back end which was so well muscled. 2 Yeoman's
Klynerbyner Kiss Untell. Another black and tan who pleased the eye, similar to
above, good shoulders and outline, every part of her flowed well, not as good
behind as winner when moving away. 3 Rollinson's Diamonddax Royal Jubilee.
JB(8, 1) 1 Mitchell's Dubreys Copper Princess. A good class for the
future of the breed. This red just strode into the ring with style and charisma,
in superb condition, great clean shape and the best mover in this class by far.
2 Endersby's Mowbray Marissa. Another red who had a most pleasing, flowing
outline, liked her head and correct eye, firm topline, good angulation to rear
but not the strength or power of above. 3 Salisbury's Brocklewood Calypso JW.
PGB(5) 1 Kerry's Brocklewood Bee's Knees At Kireton. Red who is very
well balanced, giving the correct shape and neat outline at all times, very
sound, especially in front movement, which won her this class. 2 Boyce's Tysar
Moon River Of Hollygor. Similar, typy red girl, her shape is good when stacked,
keeps a firm topline on the move, not so positive at times in front as above,
shown in great condition. 3 Fraser's Donlaynes Dainty Dinah.
LB(13, 1) 1 Shelton's Barisse Arbennik Isoldes Endeavour. A fabulous
class of quality bitches. This bitch is so sound and honest great make and
shape. One of these dogs that the more I looked at her the more she appealed,
she never stands or moves wrong, shown in superb firm condition. Res CC, her
second, should make up. 2 Yeoman's Tythe Brown Suger At Klynerbyner. Eyecatching
chocolate and tan who I thought would be my winner today. Classic headpiece,
strong neck, she can sink into herself at times, in great condition, moved wider
behind than above today, but she should appeal to many. 3 Reed's Cedax Octavia
Surprise For Deercroft JW.
OB(7, 2) 1 Blackburn's Ch Sonderbar Billie Jean At Stargang (Imp). This
bitch is quite breathtaking, she is superbly balanced, always standing correct,
great clean outline stacked or free moving, shown in great body condition and
well muscled, she stood out today. CC and BOB. 2 Ergis, Melbourne &Holdsworth's
Sioux Alliance With Melriding JW. Black and tan in great condition, full of
style, geat flow to neck and shoulders, firm topline, strong rear, a close
contender. Should make up. 3 Hunt's Ch Cwmdarhian Back To Alabama At Carpaccio
JW.
