This was my first time awarding CC's
in this variety. I was very pleased with the quality of the majority of most
of the exhibits. Presentation was excellent, there were no underweight dogs,
all were nicely covered and generally dentition was correct, most had clean
teeth. There were quite a few exhibits with tail kinks which is something of
a worry in case there is a connection with back disease. Temperaments were
excellent and I believe that if this entry is typical then there has been a
significant improvement in rear construction resulting in improved hind
movement. Some of the exhibits were far too low to ground but there were not
many that were too long.
MPD (5, 2) 1 Roberts' Denver Darling
Doctor. Red. Excellent head with good expression, correct eye shape, good
reach of neck into well angulated tight shoulders, good length of rib,
movement was true going away and back, kept a nice outline. Still very much
a baby. 2 Robertson's Ravenwood Casanova. Black and tan. Good head and
expression, nice outline on the move, just preferred front construction of
one. 3 Stafford's Barratini George Harrison.
PD (4, 1) 1 Ergis' Siouxline Flynn
Rider. BPIB. Red, excellent houndy head with correct eye shape, good reach
of neck into well angulated shoulders, good length of ribbing, and correct
hind angulation, good balanced movement going away and back though I think
he was carrying a little puppy fat, a super sound puppy. 2 Kent's Lokmadi A
Boy Named Sue. Black and tan, another quality puppy, good head and
expression, good reach of neck, nicely angulated throughout, just preferred
the overall movement of one. 3 Shelton's Barisse Grimaldi.
JD (2, 1) 1 Protheroe's Grandgables
Crafty Lil Devil At Royalmaple. Red, very masculine head and expression,
slightly taller type, well made throughout, kept a good outline on the
move.
YD (2) 1 Shutt's Shantallan All
Spiced Up for Donnadoon (Imp). Choc. Good head, correct reach of neck into
well placed shoulders, nicely angulated throughout, good length of ribbing,
movement a little erratic at times due to the spikey grass. 2 Carey's
Debbiejay Izzy Whizzy By Swingletrees. Red, good head, nice expression,
correct eye, taller type than first, he was very tense which meant that his
topline was really taught, needed to relax.
PGD (4) 1 Fiekes' Lustrum Bachelor
Boy. Black and Tan. Good head, eye shape, correct reach of neck into well
placed shoulders, super correct angulation throughout lovely profile,
movement was true when he settled but was very fidgety. 2 Muggleton's Solar
Flare At Mosiarto. Very good head and expression, reach of neck, good
shoulders and length or ribbing, just preferred hind angulation of one. 3
Carey's Swingletrees Abracadabra,
LD (5) 1 Paget & Carroll's Bronia
Valente Of Marvale. RCC. Black and tan. Good houndy head, arrogant
expression, correct eye shape and placement, good reach of neck into well
angulated shoulders, correct length of ribbing, good rear angulation, a very
well balanced dog resulting in excellent movement going away and coming
back. 2 Feddery's Donnadoon Jolly Roger For Glyndwr. Red. Another one that
was a little tense on the move, which tends to spoil the overall movement,
however, a good head and nice expression, well angulated throughout, just
preferred the substance of one. 3 Muggleton's Elnside Two Toned Boy At
Mosiarto.
OD (7, 2) 1 Coxon's Ch D'Arisca I Do
Declare. CC. Black and Tan. A very masculine boy of super quality, was very
calm and showed himself to perfection. Excellent head and expression, good
reach of neck into well angulated shoulders, good length of ribbing, good
hind angulation, lovely profile, kept topline on the move, super front and
rear extension, moved with drive. 2 Roberts' Ch Denver Darling Harry Potter.
Black and tan, another quality dog who showed himself really well, excellent
movement with good reach at the front and excellent hind extension, just
preferred the overall outline of first on the move, may have been a little
unhappy with the spikey grass which affected the movement of many dogs
today. 3 Muggleton's Mosiarto Mister Motivator.
MPB (5, 1) 1 Shutt's Kissed By The
Moon Da Casa Dos Quadras Of Donnadoon. PB. Black and tan, super puppy, good
head and expression, very feminine, nice reach of neck into correctly
angulated, nice tight shoulders, good length of ribbing and correct hind
angulation, kept a beautiful outline on the move, super true movement. 2
Holland's Zarosa Circles In Black. Black and tan, another promising puppy,
nicely made throughout, just preferred overall picture of first. 3
Robertson's Ravenwood Courtesan.
PB (6, 1) 1 Scott's Wolferlow Mary
Quant. Black and tan. Feminine head, correct eye, good reach of neck, super
front really tight elbows, nice length of ribbing, good hind angulation,
moved true going and back, kept a good topline on the move, lovely in
profile. 2 Kent's Lokmadi Scribble. Black and tan, another feminine girl,
good head, reach of neck, moved well good in profile, preferred the front
construction of one. 3 Blackburn's Stargang Tiger Tattoo.
JB (2) 1 Paget's Bronia Vittoria Of
Marvale. Black and Tan. Well made throughout, excellent head and expression,
correct front and rear angulation, good length of ribbing. Excellent front
and hind extension, moved with drive keeping a lovely outline on the move. 2
Salisbury's Brocklewood Black Rose. Brindle, good head, nice expression,
correct eye, nice length of rib, well angulated throughout but failed to
keep topline on the move, again could have been a problem with the grass as
she was very fidgety.
YB (4) 1 Kent's Lokmadi Goodnight
Irene JW. Black and tan. A lovely compact little bitch, everything in
proportion. Good head, really sweet expression, nice length of neck into
well angulated shoulders, good length of ribbing. Very confident manner,
moved true fore and back keeping a lovely outline. 2 Salisbury's Brocklewood
Bacall At Kireton. Comments as above. 3 Kerry's Brocklewood Bacall At
Kireton.
PGB (9, 1) 1 Scott's Wolferlow
Anthea. Black and tan. Good houndy head, correct length of neck and well
placed shoulders, good front and rear angulation with correct length of
ribbing. Well made throughout, moved with purpose keeping a good topline,
super outline on the stack. 2 BLackburn-Bennett's Stargang Sansa. Red. Very
elegant type, good feminine head and expression, nice length of neck, good
length of ribbing, moved well keeping a good topline, slightly taller than
one, and preferred the front construction of one. 3 Andison & Peel's Clantry
Golddigga.
LB (15, 2) This was an excellent
class, many top quality girls. 1 Muggleton's Mosiarto Miss Understood. Black
and tan. Very elegant girl, good houndy head and nice reach of neck into
well placed shoulders, moved out well, true fore and back, kept a good
topline on the move, moved with plenty of drive and purpose, loads of ring
presence. 2 Blackburn's Stargang Desert Vixen. Another lovely bitch, very
close decision, Lovely head and expression, well angulated throughout, moved
with drive keeping a good topline, just preferred the substance of one. 3
Callow's Garthorne Miss Toffee.
OB (7) 1 Ergis' Ch Siouxline Aurora
JW. CC, BOB. An excellent example of the breed, very elegant, super head and
expression, correct length of neck into well placed shoulders, correct
length of ribbing, well angulated throughout. On the move she kept a
beautiful outline and was absolutely true going away and coming back.
Excellent reach and drive, she powered around the ring with a real presence.
2 Blackburn-Bennett's Stargang Serena's Song. RCC. Red, this was a very
close decision between first and second, this girl was also an excellent
example of the breed having all the attributes as above but I just preferred
the front on one. 3 Hunt's Ch Carpaccio Crimson Ribbon.
