I was more than pleased with my
main winners, but found the quality very variable. It's a few years since I last
judged them, and to me, they have deteriorated in overall quality.
PD(7, 1) 1 Ergis' Siouxline Flynn Rider. My find of the day. Lovely 9
month old red. Nice size. Presented in lovely condition. Very composed and sure
of himself. Nothing to say about him other than I loved him. Am certain he will
have a very bright future. Res CC & Best Puppy. 2 Melbourne & Holdsworth's
Melriding Perkin Warbeck. Another nice sized red. Good outline. Very sound. 3
Paget & Carroll's Bronia Valente Of Marvale.
JD(3, 1) 1 Hunt's Mylforbe Matchmaker At Carpaccio. Compact black/tanGood
body and outline. Good showman. 2 Melbourne's D'Arisca Flaunt It At Melriding.
Rangier red. Not quite as finished or settled as winner.
ND(2) 1 Ergis' Siouxline Flynn Rider. 2 Kent's Lokmadi A Boy Named Sue.
Black/tan of nice type. Liked his outline. A little overweight today.
PGD(5) 1 Mebourne's D'Arisca Flaunt It At Melriding. Went so much
better in this class. Was persuaded to take his nose off the floor, and what a
difference it made! 2 Shutt's Shantallah All Spiced Up For Donnadoon. Nice sized
chocolate. Moved well, keeping his outline. 3 Collins' Irenvy Pretty Boy
Papasalguod.
LD(5, 1) 1 Pearson's Djeata Midnight Sun. Sound and balanced black/tan
of classic type. Moved and showed very well. Liked him. 2 Daykin's Barratini
Johnny Cash. Bigger, rangier type. Not as finished as winner, but then He's
giving away a lot in age. 3 Collins' Metadale Son Of Sid With Papasalguod.
OD(2) 1 Herrington's Ch Kathington Couer De Lion. Black/tan I've always
liked. A real dachshund in miniature. Mature and confident. Real houndy head.
Good body and outline. Positive mover with strong rear movement. CC. 2 Andison &
Peel's Clentry Black Pudding. Nice type, with appealing head. Moved easily.
PB(6) 1 Ergis & Melbourne's Siouxline Rapunzel With Melriding. Litter
sister to my puppy dog winner, and so much like him. Balanced and sound. Very
feminine. Lovely outline and quarters. When it came to Best Puppy, her brother
was just a little more finished. 2 Kent's Lokmadi Goodnight Irene. Black/tan
with nice outline and good quaretrs. Moved well. 3 Oddie & Dyer's Stargang Sea
Folly At Riowood.
JB(2, 1) 1 Shutt's Donnadoon Miss Magestic. Clear red. Liked her head
and topline. A little proud of her tail at the minute.
NB(2) 1 Kent's Lokmadi Goodnight Irene. 2 Cumberland's Whirlygig
Wottatodoo At Mumysami. Black/tan. Good body. Steady mover.
PGB(6) 1 Williams' Manacas Amber At Wilmerella. Red bitch with powerful
hind movement. Nice head. Moved well maintaining outline. 2 Gorman's Gordax
Heavenly Truffles. Typey black/tan. Good outline and quarters. Moved well. 3
Andison & Peel's Clentry Golddigga.
LB(7) 1 Mitchell's Bronia Fabrizia. Soundly constructed red. Moved and
showed really well. No exaggerations. Nothing jarred, one bit just flowed into
another. CC & BOB. Understand that makes her up. Congratulations. 2 Herrington's
Kathington Chance To Dream. Smart and feminine black tan. Looked a picture as
she moved round. Liked her head and outline. Liked her very much. 3 Daykin's
Barratini Margo.
OB(4) 1 Ergis' Ch Siouxline Aurora. Eyecatching red. Real glamour girl.
Good topline and head. Moved and showed very well. Res CC. 2 Hunt's Carpaccio
Shaded Ribbon. Balanced red. Good quarters. Moved well. 3 Melbourne's Melriding
Berengaria.
