Firstly I would
like to thank the committee for giving me the opportunity to judge four
varieties of Dachshunds at their prestigious show. I would also like to thank my
stewards who were very professional and knowledgeable and whose expertise added
to my enjoyment of the day.
PD (2) 1 Hunt's Mylforbe Matchmaker At Carpaccio.Very promising b/t 8
month old puppy, very pleasing compact size and overall shape. Good head and
front assembly, correct lay of shoulders, tight elbows, firm topline kept at all
times on the move and stacked. Sound, true movement both fore and aft. BP. PG4.
2 Watkinson's Manakoora Arookanam. Just seven months old, taller type than
firstst with good ground clearance, lovely reach of neck and many of the
attributes of the first. I just preferred the composure and confidence of the
first. Two very promising puppies.
OD (2) 1 Hunt's Carpaccio Red Adair. Stunning shaded red dog. Excellent
head, reach of neck, correct front and lay of shoulders, nice tight elbows, firm
level topline kept whilst on the move and stacked. Moved soundly and true both
coming and going. BD, lost to kennel mate for BOB as he would not settle for the
challenge. 2 Punter's Welcumen Guinness. B/t, another super dog with many of the
attributes of the winner, I just preferred the overall stance and composure of
the first.
PB(5, 2) 1 Kent's Lokmadi Goodnight Irene. 6 month old b/t baby, very
well behaved for one so young. Very promising well balanced bitch with pleasing
head and expression, good reach of neck into well placed shoulders, tight elbows
and firm topline. Moved out well. 2 Stafford's Lokmadi Coco Before Fame. Another
very promising well balanced 6 month old b/t baby, very similar to the first,
most of the same attributes apply. Just preferred the tail carriage of the
first, very close decision. 3 Mortlock's Hertsmerry Serenade.
JB(2, 1) 1 Sawyer &Robson's Tiny Chocolate Princess. Chocolate and tan
petite little girl, pleasing head, good reach of neck. Moved well.
PGB 1 Mortlock's Hertsmerry Catch A Star. Lovely shaded red girl, good
head and front assembly, good reach of neck and shoulder placement, tight elbows
and firm topline. Very well balanced overall, moved soundly. RBB.
OB(3) 1 Hunt's Carpaccio Crimson Ribbon. Superb shaded red girl,
excellent head, front and expression, graceful neck leading to well placed
shoulders, tight elbows and firm topline. Moved soundly both coming and going.
Overall a very well balanced girl. BB. Her composure and showmanship gave her
BOB over her kennel mate. 2 Kent's Lokmadi Paper Tiger JW ShCM. Another lovely
girl, nice head and front, graceful neck, well placed shoulders and firm topline.
Moved well. Just preferred the overall balance of the first. 3 Sawyer & Robson's
Tiny Chocolate Princess.
