Many thanks for a super entry, generally felt that most exhibits displayed the type required e.g. no real stand offish temperaments & nothing too thin especially in the males. There is certainly more depth in quality in the bitches currently that must always be watched for the future.
VD (1) 1 Sim’s Little Wizard of Kelmbeck, for his age, in really good colour & coat condition. Pleasing head & expression. Lovely big feet & good bone. Well made rear construction showing this on the move with a bit of drive & muscular condition that a few lacked of much younger years. PD (7) 1 BP, Ergis’ Siouxline Flynn Rider, won on overall balance, make & shape. Kind eye & expression with a well balanced conical head. The rear movement was super really going somewhere. Good level topline & enough length of loin & rib to keep that balanced look on the move. Went on to win PG1 & BPIS overall. Congratulations; 2 Williams & Moes’ Granadan Oversight by Cwmdarhian, a different type, not quite as flowing in lines compared to 1. Little heavier across the shoulder construction as well. Moved well both ends; 3 Kent’s Lokmadi A Boy Named Sue. JD (4) 1 CC & BOB, Mitchell’s Ygeia Landgraf 1 for Bronia, really impressed by this male. Stunning head & expression with a lovely eye. Good bone & feet, correct front construction into good ribs & strong loin. Well balanced overall with nothing overdone & typy. Was the truest mover not pitter pattering around the ring; 2 Protheroe’s Grandgables Crafty Lil Devil at Royalmaple, at points played the handler up, a little longer in ribbing & loin to 1. Good mover in front with good front construction back into a well laid shoulder. Level strong topline. Good bone & feet. Good head with expression. Would have liked slightly better rear movement; 3 Hunt’s Mylforbe Matchmaker at Carpaccio. PGD (1) 1 Melbourne’s D’arisca Flaunt It at Melriding, honest type of dog, well ribbed & good strong loin. Balanced head with a kind eye & expression. Well set ears. Flowed from his neck nicely into his topline, another with good bone & feet. LD (4,2) 1 Daykin’s Barratini Jonny Cash, a well balanced long head & expression with a good eye. Well made front into good bone & feet in balance with the substance of the overall dog. Clean neck & shoulders into a good topline, but created a balanced picture when stood & in profile on the move; 2 Thompson’s Siouxline Nathanael at Oraysha, not quite the balance of 1st. A little shorter cast in the loin than I would like. Would have liked a little more positive movement as tended to look a little tucked at points in profile on the move. OD (1) 1 RCC, Smith & Connor’s Ch Bronia Gregorio, a real smart show dog who holds himself so well on the move. With super rich tan markings with a good shine to his coat. Just lost out on front construction to the CC winner as felt could do with a little less all over. Well ribbed & prominent forechest with good bone & feet.
VB (1) 1 Mayger’s Woolsocks Black Satin, this bitch has really enjoyed her senior years. Still lots of bone & good feet, balanced length & a very happy old lady on the move. Some should learn! PB (12) 1 Shelton’s Barisse Donnamira, a nice class to judge with a lot of promising puppies in it. She pulled herself into a good make & shape & I preferred her overall balance more to 2. Moved well with some purpose & drive. Good bone & feet for her age. Correct front construction, into well laid shoulders with plenty of ribbing. Moved well behind & in profile. Well balanced head & expression; 2 Mitchell’s Denver Darling Senorita at Bronia, another good make & shape with a good level topline, well ribbed & strong loin. Moved away well, just needs to tighten in front yet; 3 Ergis, Melbourne & Holdsworth’s Siouxline Rapunzel with Melriding. JB (8,1) 1 CC, Paget & Carroll’s Bronia Vittoria of Marvale, super mover really cover the ground well. A good head & expression, nice shape to the eye, correct earset. Flowed well from the neck down into the croup & didn’t lose this on the move. A well balanced bitch which should become a champion without too much of a challenge; 2 Salisbury’s Brocklewood Black Rose, different type of bitch which quite have the overall finish of 1. Would have liked a slightly more positive movement. Liked her head it was well balanced & conical, with a good eye. Another with enough substance to bone & feet, without being overdone; 3 Oakley & Person’s Ardenrun Fridays Child. PGB (16,2) 1 Kerry’s Brocklewood Bacall at Kireton, looked well when pulled into shape creating a good overall picture. Enough ground clearance. Good lay of shoulder into a well made front construction with a reasonable keel. Which did lack on some exhibits. Moved well away from me & kept a well balanced profile around the ring. Nice size. A good head with a bit of length to it. Would have liked slightly better front movement; 2 Paget & Carroll’s Stargang Silver Star at Marvale, not a bad bitch, just lacked the head of 1 & would have liked a slightly shorter loin. Good colour & condition; 3 Rollinson’s Cwmdarhian Lady Marmalade by Diamonddax. LB (8,1) 1 Lombardelli’s Mylforbe Fleur De Lys at Kelmbeck, a decent keel for a change with good bone & feet, well made rear construction with a well let down hock. When she settled she was a good mover wanting to go somewhere with a bit of drive. Kept a level topline in profile & when stacked; 2 Williams’ Manacas Amber Cover at Wilmerella, well made front & showed coming towards you on the move. Flowed well from neck into level topline, but a little straight in rear construction; 3 Phillips’ Lokmadi Leading Lady for Daxphilly. OB (9,1) 1 RCC, Hunt’s Ch Carpaccio Crimson Ribbon, preferred the size & overall balance to 2. Good smooth coat. Cleaner through her neck & shoulders into a well ribbed body. Front legs came out in the right place from the body with bone & feet to do its job. Moved well behind with a bit of oomph; 2 Williams & Moes’ Lux/Mal Ch Cwmdarhian Cara Mia, a different type again from 1. Not quite the balanced picture of 1 & did tend to rise over the loin at points. Moved well behind again with some purpose. Nice size with a pleasing head; 3 Ergis’ Ch Siouxline Aurora.
