Thank you for a good numerical entry of 64 dogs. Type & quality were mixed. I was disappointed to find so many short ribcages & short sternums resulting in weak toplines & cut up underlines. I found four I considered needed more body – often in dogs which were too long & struggling to stay within the weight – very sad, especially as most judges will forgive a few ounces on a quality exhibit.
Bitches were better than dogs for depth of quality with Puppy, PG & Open with a lot of quality exhibits.
PD 1 Bronia Valente of Marvale, had a big pull in maturity & topline here. 10˝ months, excellent proportions & ribbing, good mover, very well balanced. Really uses his hocks, his head could have a little more refinement but I liked him a lot; 2 Siouxline Flynn Rider, 8 months red, good proportions, not as long in ribcage as 1 & not as finished in front action. Excellent feet & carried himself well, excellent head; 3 Lokmadi A Boy Named Sue. JD 1 Russteck Figgy Duff, 14 months, excellent proportions & good length of ribcage but a little severe in underline. Good legs & feet, best mover in class; 2 D’Arisca Flaunt It at Melriding, 14 months red, I liked him on the table but didn’t help himself on the move. Needs a little more confidence, otherwise could have gone higher; 3 Myforbe Matchmaker at Carpaccio. PGD 1 Shantallah All Spiced Up for Donnadoon, 19 months choc/t, just a touch low to ground in front but ribbed well back, good in front, good head & eyes; 2 Irenvy Pretty Boy, 21 months, longer dog who is a little forward placed in front assembly. Clean head, not the topline of 1. LD 1 Bronia Gregorio, 18 months, comfortable winner of this class despite his high tail carriage, excellent proportions, sound head & well ribbed back, could have a little more upper arm to give cleaner front action. RCC; 2 Swingletreez Razzamatazz, 2 yars red, has good ground clearane & good head type. A little forward placed in front assembly & this shows in his front action. Won this place on front action; 3 D’Jeata Midnight Sun. OD 1 Metadale Nikolai of Melriding, 3 years red, easy winner of this class on proportions & angulation, good head type. He is a little low to ground for my taste & could have a touch more neck but pleased enormously on ribbing & excellent movement at both ends. CC; 2 Clentry Black Pudding, 3 years, larger dog who is not as good in forehand as the winner. Good head & good quarters. Scored in underline to take this place over 3 Barisse A Touch Of Magic.
PB Three excellent puppies at the top here. 1 Lokmadi Goodnight Irene, 10 months b/t of lovely type & proportions. Excellent mover, scored in topline to win a narrow decision. BP & later won PG1; 2 Siouxline Rapunzel with Melriding, 8 months red, lovely head & lovely feet, went well. Just a little soft in topline at the moment & that decided the issue. Should finish a lovely bitch; 3 Stargang Tiger Tattoo. JB 1 Wolferlow Athena, 17 months lovely b/t who won this class convincingly. Excellnet proportions & movement, ribbed well back & excellent quality to the head & good eye. Carried herself well. I liked her a lot. Can just firm up a little in body but should go far. I liked her a lot. RCC; 2 Stargang Silver Star at Marvale, 17 months dapple, of excellent type, good bone & movement. Good topline. Underline just marred by slight phantom pregnancy; 3 Clentry Golddigga. PGB Good class for depth of quality. 1 Stargang Deseret Vixen, 19 months red of lovely type & excellent movement, very feminine in head & lovely eye. Tends to fly her ears. Excellent croup & quarters, very good ribcage carried well back; 2 Cwmharhian Lady Marmalade by Diammandax, 19 months red, another good mover with quality head & eye, good forehand. Just a touch short in croup & not the underline of winner but full of quality; 3 Royaldachs Innocent Honour. LB Difficult class, very mixed for type. 1 Stargang Serena’s Song, 20 months red, good for ground clearance & movement, scored in rear assembly, good head & eye. Would prefer longer ribcage & this shows in her topline; 2 Melriding Berengaria, 2 years b/t, a little lower to ground but sound at both ends & scores in underline & rear movement to take this place over 3 Brocklewood Calypso. OB 1 Ch Siouxline Aurora, 3 years red, of excellent proportions & very good movement, good ground clearance, excellent bone. Scored in topline & stride to take this class, CC & BOB. My BP last time I judged & she did not disappoint; 2 Lux Ch Cwmdarhian Cara Mia, 2 years red in excellent condition, good head & eye. Not quite the shoulder assembly of winner & this showed in her topline but pressed hard; 3 Ch Golden Algon Quinette of Melriding.
