Thank you to Southern Counties for their continued support! An
interesting entry throughout and I thank the exhibitors for their entry. One or
two surprises on the day which made my judging interesting for me at least!
MPD (5) 1 Kent, Lokmadi A Boy Named Sue b/t. Super youngster of top
draw quality. Excels in head eye and expression. Excellent neck which flows into
a clean shoulder. Excellent in rib which is carried well back with a good top
line and underline. He is well bent in stifle with a short strong hock. Loved
his profile on the stack, moved out so soundly for one so young, presentation
was A1. Later on in the challenge the more I looked the more I liked. Pleased to
award him the RCC today, with normal luck will reach the top! 2 Ergis, Siouxline
Flynn Rider, red. Yet another quality puppy from this clever exhibitor. He too
scores in head, eye and expression. Good front assembly, plenty of neck, level
in top line. His bone and feet are of quality, standing her gives off a true
outline. Loved his attitude on the move showing like an old hand. Another that
will reach the top in time! 3 Shelton, Barisse Grimaldi.
PD (5) 1 Kent, Lokmadi A Boy Named Sue b/t. 2 Paget, Carroll, Bronia
Valente of Marvale b/t. Smart individual of good merit, head qualities are ok
with as correct neck and front assembly. Plenty of rib with a firm top line and
good under line. He is well angulated in his quarters with strong parallel
hocks. Standing he gives off a pleasing outline and is sound on the move.
Presented in excellent condition, just preferred that little overall extra
length of the winner but should do well. 3 Phillips, Carpaccio Mr Selfridge of
Robinswood.
JD (5) A mixed class of varying degrees in type! 1 Protheroe,
Grandgables Crafty Lil Devil at Royalmaple, red. Such an eye catching individual
of above average quality. Super in head which is of the correct conical shape.
Excels in eye and expression, super neck and forequarters. Excellent in rib
which is carried well back with a firm loin. Top line and underline correct,
super rear angles with well bent stifle and strong hocks. I just loved his
attitude on the move, one of only a few that showed true purpose on the out and
back whilst holding is outline on the go around. He was presented in super fit
condition. In the challenge he continued to draw my attention, pleased to award
him his first cc. With normal luck and fairness he should wear his crown. Good
luck! 2 Hunt, Mylforbe Match Maker at Carpaccio b/t. Another exhibit of merit
from this successful stable. Different in type to the winner. Head is ok with
excellent ribbing. Correct in top line and underline with good bone and general
substance. Moved out soundly both ways holding a correct outline on the go
around. As usual presentation was 100% just preferred the overall length of the
winner. 3 Carey, Debbiejay Izzy Whizzy by Swingletrees.
PGD(3,2) 1 Carey, Swingletrees Abracadabra, red. Has some good breed
points, would prefer a better fore face which then would balance his head. Eye
ok, correct in body with plenty of rib. Correct in stifle with good bone. Going
away he could be more positive but was presented in excellent order.
LD(3,2)1 Smith, Connor, Bronia Gregorio b/t. Quality exhibit to go
over. Excellent head which is of the correct shape. Scores in eye and
expression, reachy in neck with a good front assembly. Excellent in rib with a
firm top line and good underline. He has quality in bone with correct feet.
Moved out well on the out and back holding his outline on the go around.
Presented in excellent condition.
OD (3) 1 Thomas, Cwmdarhian Butch Cassidy at Acedachs b/t. Plenty to
admire on this exhibit. Quality in head which has good proportions. Lovely eye
and expression, reachy in neck with a good fore chest. Plenty in rib which was
carried well back. Level in top line which leads to a well angulated rear. Got a
bit unsettled but calmed down enough; once on the move displayed good reach and
drive on the out and back. Presented in excellent order. 2 Herrington, Ch
Kathington Coeur De Lion b/t. Quality exhibit with plenty to admire. Quality in
head, eye and expression with a good neck that flows into a good front assembly.
Excellent in rib with a firm top line. He is well angulated in his rear, just
not as positive going away as the winner but held a true outline on the go
around. Presented in good order. 3 Startup, Barrise a Touch of Magic.
Good Citizen M (1) 1 Lady Niel-Frazer, Granadan Revelation at Baxendale.
Pleasing exhibit. Head ok with a decent eye and expression. Neck and front
assembly correct with good ribs. Bone is ok with correct feet. Could be sounder
behind but is ok on the return. However he is a clever chap as his proud owner
explained, he has attained his "Gold Award" proving the versatility of the
dachshund. Well done!
MPB (5|) Good class, some exciting young exhibits for the future. 1
Ergis & Melbourne, Siouxline Rapunzel with Melriding, red. Absolutely gorgeous
puppy of obvious quality. Super feminine head of correct proportions with a
lovely dark eye which enhances her expression. Good in neck and fore quarters;
excellent top line and underline. She excels in quarter with excellent bend in
stifle which leads to short strong parallel hocks. Standing she gives off such a
pleasing outline. On the move she displays true enthusiasm displaying good reach
and drive and holding a superb outline on the go around. As usual from this
stable she was presented in excellent order and so well-schooled. Best Puppy and
RCC. One that will reach the top! 2 Scott, Wolferlow Mary Quant b/t. Yet another
with so much to admire. Ultra feminine well balanced head with correct eye and
expression. Lengthy in neck with a good front assembly. Scores in rib and top
line. Quality in bone with neat feet. She gives off a pleasing outline on the
stack and displays good attitude on the move showing good reach and drive. With
normal luck should make it to the top. 3 Reed, Deercroft Summer Serenade.
Pb (2) 1 Scott, Wolferlow Mary Quant. 2 Kent, Lokmadi Good Night Irene
b/t. Another with plenty to admire. Feminine well-proportioned head with a good
eye and expression. Scores in body with plenty in rib. Correct in top line which
leads to a well angulated rear. Just preferred the better shoulder angle of the
winner. Moved out well and was well presented.
jb (5) 1 Reed, Deercroft Spring Promise b/t. Exhibit that has plenty to
admire throughout. Quality in head which has good balance. Correct in eye and
expression. Neck has good length, excellent in rib which is carried well back.
Firm level top line with a good underline. Quality in bone with neat feet. Her
rear angles are correct. Standing she gives off a pleasing outline. Moved well
on the out and back holding a true outline on the go around. Just a little more
maturity in front will complete the picture. Presented in gleaming coat. 2
Philips, Lokmadi Leading Lady for Daxphilly b/t. Good for overall quality.
Feminine head with a correct eye and expression. Reachy in neck with a
well-developed body. Firm in top line with a well angulated rear. Once settled
moved out well both on the out and back. 3 Salisbury, Brockfield Black Rose.
pgb (8) 1 Scott, Wolferlow Anthea b/t. Liked this exhibits
overall quality. Feminine well-proportioned head with a good eye and expression.
Excellent in neck and fore chest. Good in rib with a level top line. Liked her
well angulated rear which she used to good advantage. When going away she
displayed good front extension holding her outline on the go around. Presented
in excellent order. 2 Hollands, Lokmadi Morning Cloud at Zarosa. Yet another
quality exhibit with plenty to admire. Head, eye and expression correct, ribbing
and top line good. She has quality in bone with neat feet, just not the
extension upfront as the winner. Presented in excellent order. 3 Herrington,
Kathington Chance to Dream.
LB (2,1)1st Whitney, Arbennick Scarlett Fury red. Feminine
well-proportioned head with a lovely eye and expression. Good length in neck
with a well-developed fore chest. Plenty of rib with a good top line and
underline. Her bone has quality with neat compact feet. Felt a bit more firm
handling would enhance this exhibits chances. Was presented in excellent
condition and moved out ok.
OB (8) Excellent class with lots of quality. A pleasure to judge! 1
Williams, Moes, Lux/Mys Ch Cwmdarhian Cara-Mia, red. Heading a quality class,
stunning in head qualities which are feminine and so well balanced. Super dark
eye which gives off a keen expression. Reachy in neck with probably the best
front of the day. Plenty in fore chest with elbows well under. Excellent in rib
which is carried well back with a firm level top line and good underline. She
has a well-developed rear with a firm loin. Her bone and feet are of good
quality. Standing she looked a picture of true health. It's on the move that she
comes into her own showing such arrogance with positive rear and front action
holding her outline at all times. Pleased to award her the cc today, her second
and eventually Bob. The only Dachshund in the Hound Group to make the short
list! Surely in the not too distant future her crown awaits! 2 Hunt, Carpaccio
Crimson Ribbon red. Yet another exhibit that offers so much. So typey all
through, classic in head and expression with a lovely eye. Excellent in front
with plenty of rib. Bone and feet are good, holds her top line at all times. Her
attitude is excellent, never gives up showing. As usual from this stable
presented in "A1" condition. 3 Child-Thomas, Ergis Ch Siouxline April Folly jw.
Completing a trio of top draw exhibits.
