I found the bitches much stronger than the dogs, hind movement on some dogs could be better, some dogs moving close behind. A great pity that some very nice dogs were penalised for going over the eleven pounds mark but the Dachshund Breed Council guidance on weighing must not be overlooked. I was told after judging that both dog CC and Bitch CC made up on the day, congratulations to them both. 
VD/B (2) 1 Reeds Deercroft Devotion JW. Going on nine years old and still showing very well with everything still in the right place, still very sound all round. 2 Mayger's Woolsocks Black Satin. Oldest dog in the ring today, ok carrying a little excess weight but still able to do the stuff. 
MPD (4) 1 Kent's Lokmadi A Boy Named Sue. Very promising young dog, good head features with clean dentition, nice front assembly leading into a good ribcage, good drive from hind quarters, good in profile and also on the move, I can well see this dog making it to the top. 2 Shelton's Barisse Grimaldi. Another nice dog showing very well, excellent head with correct eye and ear placement, front assembly good, not as strong as winner on hind action but still a lot to like. 3 Blackburn-Bennetts Stargang Crazy  Waves. 
PD (4,2) 1 Phillip's Carpaccio Mr Selfridge of Robinswood. Well-presented dog, very clean lines all round, head features good, decent ribbing, would like a stronger hind action. 2 Jones' Radclyffe Xteal. Clean presented dog, pleasing head, front assembly ok, good ribcage of good length, needs to drive a little better on hindquarters. 
JD (7,1) 1 Hunt's Mylforbe Matchmaker At Carpaccio. Attractive dog, lovely head features, nice front assembly with forelegs in correct place, good length on rib giving a good line from wither to croup, good driving hindquarters, well-presented when stacked and on the move. 2 Phillip's Carpaccio Mr Selfridge of Robinswood. Tidy dog with good head features, front assembly ok, decent ribbing, lacked ring presence of winner. 3 Paget & Carroll's Bronia Valente of Marvale. 
YD (4,1) 1 Shutt's Shantallah All Spiced Up For Donnadoon.  Sound moving dog with decent head, nice front assembly, held line from withers to croup well when stood and on the move. 2 Smith & Connor's Bronia Gregorio ShCM. Another sound moving dog, correct head features, nice front assembly, strong hindquarters allowing strong drive. 3 Booths Ellie's Boy Baxter. 
PGD (6.2) 1 Robertson's Mosiarto  Masterpiece At Ravenswood. Well-presented dog with a nice masculine head, shoulders well placed a decent ribcage, used the ring well on the move. 2 Dunhill's Santorna Adam For Gellijam. Clean presented dog, would benefit from better head features, needs a few ounces off. 3 Thompson's Siouxline Nathanael At Oraysha. 
LD (3) By far the best dog class of the day with all three dogs showing quality throughout. 1 Daykins Barratini Jonny Cash. Stunning dog all round, best of heads, lovely strong forechest, good front assembly, foreleg well placed, excellent ribbing, strong hindquarters giving strong positive drive. CC. 2 Muggletons Mister Motivator. Another quality dog giving everything asked by the excellent handler, strong head features, nice front assembly with upper arm nicely tucked in, good length of rib and good strong driving hindquarters. Res CC. 3 Burton's Swingletrees Razzamatazz JW. 
OD (3,1) 1 Paterson's Kinzel Hidden Promise. Well-presented but would benefit losing an ounce or two, pleasing head, tidy front assembly, stood and moved well. 2 Muggletons' Mosiarto Mister Big. Nip and tuck between him and the winner, pleasing head, nice fore chest, well-muscled quarters. 
Good Citizen (4) 1 Paterson's Kinzel Hidden Promise. 2 Neill-Fraser's Granadan Revelation at Baxendale. Presented in fine condition, pleasing head features, decent front assembly but lost topline on the move. 3 West's Yelitt Dinah To Archidax. 
MPB (6) 1 Reeds Deercroft Summer Serenade. Stunning red puppy showing so well for such a youngster. Looks spot on in profile. excellent front assembly, foreleg spot on, good length of rib, well-muscled hindquarters, handler and dog in complete unison on the move. Best Puppy. 2 Blackburn's Stargang Tiger Tattoo. Another nice young bitch, very well presented, all head features good, nice clean dentition, good foreleg, good ribbing, moved and handled very well. 3 Shutt's Donnadoon Miss Majestic. 
PB (6,2) 1 Muggletons Mosiarto Miss Minimum. Sound moving puppy in excellent condition, correct head with good clean dentition, foreleg proportion correct, nicely ribbed, well held top line, decent hindquarters. 2 Kent's Lockmadi Goodnight Irene. Splitting hairs between this one and the winner, lovely feminine head with everything in the right place, well placed shoulders, good length of rib, lovely line from wither to croup, these two should go far. 3 Burton's Swingletrees Xtravagansa. 
JB (4) 1 Salisbury's Brocklewood Black Rose. Immaculate presentation, the dog in super condition, classy head, strong fore chest, nice foreleg placement, good length of rib, hindquarters positive and driving well. 2 Reeds Deercroft Spring Promise. Attractive bitch looking very nice in profile, good head features, well placed foreleg, good rib length, well-muscled thigh, very sound all round. 3 Patersons Jazzeebee Fire Babe. 
YB (8,1) 1 Blackburn-Bennett's Stargang Serena's Song. Real eye catching red with everything in the right place, super head proportions, correct front assembly, lovely length of rib, strong well-muscled hindquarters, a very nice bitch so well handled. RCC. 2 Salisbury's Brocklewood Black Rose. 3 Scott's Wolferlow Anthea. 
PGB (10,1) 1 Blackburn's Stargang Desert Vixen. Soundly put together bitch, correct head, good fore chest, nice length of rib, well balanced quarters all round giving excellent profile when stood, movement very positive. 2 Scott's Wolferlow Anthea. Well-constructed black and Tan, pleasing head, well pronounced fore chest, well placed shoulders, nice angulated hindquarters, moved soundly at all times. 3 Muggleton's Mosiarto Miss Understood. 
LB (5,1) 1 Barratini Margo. Eye catching red with excellent ring presence, super feminine head correct front assembly, foreleg well placed, lovely length of rib, well-muscled hindquarters allowing a strong positive movement. 2 Hughes Batendach Coppa Rose For Juldachs. Attractive red with pleasing head, strong fore chest, well ribbed, decent hindquarters, not as good on front assembly as winner but a lot to like. 3 Mortlock's Hertsmerry Catch A Star. 
OB (10,3) A class with some real top quality bitches on display, a real privilege to judge. 1 Hunt's Carpaccio Crimson Ribbon.  In the line-up the bitch stood out, so much ring presence, dog and handler in complete unison. Correct head proportions, front assembly good, good length of rib, front and rear angles spot on making it so easy for her to move freely. CC. 2 Kent's Lokmadi Paper Tiger JW Sh.CM. No shame coming second in this strong class, again so much to admire, so well put together, classy head, nice fore chest, good foreleg placement, good length of rib, strong hindquarters giving excellent drive. 3 Blackburn-Bennetts Sandance Silver Lady At Stargang.
