First of all I would like to thank the committee for inviting me to judge at
Border Union Championship show, Awarding CCs for my first time. Secondly I
would like to thank the Exhibitors for giving me a super entry and quality
dogs to go over, and the stewards for making things run smoothly.
Unfortunately I could not give top awards to them all, but overall I found
the exhibits well worthy. I thoroughly enjoyed my day.
PD 1 Mitchells Bronia Stefano. B/T of lovely type, good length of ribbing
and neck, good length of keel and sound shoulders, moved around with drive,
sure we will see lots more of him. 2 Uptons Denval Distinction. Another B/T
of nice quality, nice angulation and ribbing, would of liked a longer ear
set, but again moved freely around the ring.
JD 1 Coxons D'Arisca Danish Diplomat. S/R of lovely length, with good
ribbing and reach of neck, prominent fore chest, moved with confidence. 2
Shutts Donnadoon Waterloo Sunset. Another quality exhibit, with good
angulation and ribbing, correct eye and ear set, just preferred the movement
of 1.
ND 1 Williams' Wilmerella Wells Fargo JW. Stood alone, but nothing to take
away, B/T of nice length, good strong muzzle and prominent fore chest, nice
angulation and strode round the ring.
PGD 1 Fiekes Lustrum Cushendall. B/T of smaller type, good front and length
of ribbing and reach of neck, correct eye, with nice domed head. 2 Collins'
Irenvy Pretty boy with Papasalguod. B/T tipped the scales a little, but
couldn't take nothing away from him, had a lovely strong muzzle with nice
opal eye and reach of neck,and length of ribbing, moved with drive.
LD 1 DCC, BOB and Group 2: Hunts Carpaccio Casablanca JW. Loved this little
fellow B/T of superb type, good fore chest, nice length of ribbing and reach
of neck, nice angulation with correct hocks. The CC gave him his title
subject to KC confirmation. 2 Melbourne and Holdsworths Melriding Perkin
Warbeck. R of nice type, good strong neck, nice tight elbows and short
hocks, good ribbing, moved soundly.
OD 1 and RCC, Coxons Distinctly So D' Arisca. S/R of great length, nice
prominent fore chest, good length of keel, nice domed head with correct
shape eye and lovely ear set, moved round with drive. 2 Paget and Carrolls
Bronia Valente of Marvale.
B/T of smart appearance, good reach of neck, nice strong muzzle, good lay of
shoulders, with nice tight elbows, moved with drive.
VD 1 and BV Kents CH Barratini Jeeves at Lokmadi JW. What a happy exhibit,
wagging tail all the way round, could see he was thoroughly enjoying his
day, B/T with good length of ribbing, nice angulation with sound hocks, good
reach of neck, moved with confidence. 2 Herringtons Ch Kathington Coeur De
lion. B/T another fine exhibit with the comments of above, just preferred
the hind movement of 1.
PB and BP 1 Uptons Denval Temptation. S/R A solid, compact little girl, with
a great expression, enjoying herself to the full, good length of ribbing and
keel, nice opal eye with nice ear set, good angulation, moved true toward
and away. 2 Edmondsons Irenvy Little Eva. B/T Still a baby but handled the
ring well, smaller type than 1, but nice ribbing, hind angulation and head,
sure she will mature.
JB 1 and RCC Blackburns Stargang Fallen Angel. S/R with great reach of neck,
good long length of ribbing, perfect hind angulation, moved with drive, just
needs to gain a little more confidence. 2 Coxons D' Arisca Danish Delicacy.
S/R of smaller type with nice angulation, good length of ribbing and reach
of neck, correct eye and ear, moved with drive.
PGB 1 Blackburn-Bennetts Stargang Star Anise. B/T with a masculine head with
correct eye and ear, prominent fore chest with good length of ribbing, nice
angulation, moved with drive. 2 Shutts Kissed by the moon Da Casados Quadros
of Donnadoon (IMP PRT). B/T of feminine type, lovely fore chest and length
of ribbing, correct opal eye, kept level topline, moved with drive.
LB 1 Herringtons Kathington Chance be a Lady. R again of quality, small and
compact, everything where it should be, nice length of muzzle, good ribbing,
good lay of shoulders, moved freely round the ring. 2 Melbourne and
Holdsworths Stargang Sea Fever at Melriding. R/B more of the stockier type
with nice reach of neck, correct eye and ear, good length of ribbing and
hind angulation, moved freely.
OB 1 CC and BOS Kents Lokmadi Paper Tiger JW ShCM. B/T Again what a fine
example of the breed, lovely head with correct eye and ear set, nice length
of ribbing, nice level top line on stance and the move, good angulation,
happy girl going round the ring. 2 Paget and Carrolls, Ch Bronia Vittoria of
Marvale. R again of lovely smart type, very close to 1, with good fore
chest, length of ribbing, smart head with nice opal eye shape, just found
she moved a little close behind on the day.
