Thank you very much for inviting me to Judge apologise for any confusion, I recently changed my name from Joy Gonszor back to Joy Middleton. A massive thank you to everyone who entered and attended the show. Some cracking dogs to judge and I had a really good time despite being told I didn’t know what I was doing. I appreciate those who asked for my feedback and the decisions I had made. If you are going to talk about a judge and their decisions, please do this out of the ring and ideally at home not while standing in front of the judge. Or maybe you might want to ask the judge why they have made those decisions! I was alarmed at the amount of dogs who had retrained puppy teeth please do check your dogs before attending shows. 

 

 

Miniature Smooth Haired Dachshunds 

Puppy Dog (6/0) 1) Mrs I Phillips, Stargang Devil-May-Care of Robinswood. Red dog, well balanced held top line on the move and staked. Presented nicely. Tight feet. 2) Mrs M Shutt, Donnadoon Waterloo Sunset. Similar in type to 1, nice size and shape. Love to see a tail wag. Just needs to tighten up on the move which will come with age. 3) Mr J Rudkin, Dynastydax Diamond Geezer. 

Junior Dog (5/0) 1) Ms C Scott, Wolferlow Will Scarlet. B/T nice head with lovely oval eye, deep depth of chest, held top line on the move, moved well. 2) Mr R and Mrs S Williams, Wilmerella Wells Fargo. Nice depth of chest, a little over angulated in the front which caused a slight rise in the rear on the move. 3) Mr J Rudkin, Dynastydax Diamond Geezer. 

PG (3/0) 1) Mr J Rudkin, Dynastydax Secret Agent, B/T, tight elbow, nice dark pigment, good drive from the rear. Slightly longer in loin. 2) Ms C Scott, Danton Mr Brown at Wolferlow. C/T, smaller type then 1. Moved well, would like more depth in chest and better lay of shoulder. Well muscled. 3) Mrs I Phillips, Dactra Frank Furter of Robinswood. 

Open Dog 1 & BOB) Mrs S and Mr J Hunt, Carpaccio Casablanca JW. B/T. Well shaped head with lovely oval eye. Nice length of neck which flows nicely into nicely placed shoulders. Good death of chest and upper arm. Held top long on the moved and staked. Moved with drive and powered from the rear. Overall a lovely picture. Pleased to see him do well in the stakes. 2 & RBD) Mr M Smith and Mr L Connor, Ch Bronia Gregorio JW SHCM. B/T. Smaller type to 1. Drove round the ring, powered from the rear with good level of muscle. Nice 2:1 proportions. Lovely depth of chest and correct lay of shoulder. Lovely dog. Two quality dogs that I’m sure wil often battle for top spot. 3) Miss B Fossett and Mrs Y Kent, Lokmadi a Boy Named Sue JW. 

Puppy Bitch (7/1) 1, RBB & BP) Mrs S and Mr J Hunt, Carpaccio Blithe Spirit. B/T. Taking after her Sire, Lovely deep chest, and correct lay of shoulder. More mature bitch in the class, held top line throughout. Nice drive from the rear. Look forward to watching her mature. 2) S & R Burke & Manston, Radclyffe Zathera. Red, good depth of chest, level top line, nice tight feet, good rear angulation. Not quiet the maturity of 1. 3) Miss L Muggleton, Mosiarto Miss Match. 

Junior Bitch (5/4) 1) Mrs J Remmer, Lady Clarissa. C/T.  Nice tight feet. Level topline staked, did rise on the move over the rear. Not driving from the rear on the move due to lack in second thigh. 

PG (7/2) 1 & BB) Miss L Muggleton, Mosiarto Miss Calculate. Red. Lovely movement, with drive. Nice dark pigment. Over all a lovely bitch. 2) Mrs M Shutt, Kissed by the Moon Da Casa Quadris of Donnadoon (Imp PRT). B/T. Simular type to 1, second thigh a touch too long which caused her to look over stretched in the rear. Nice dark pigment. Presented well. 3) Ms C Scott, Wolferlow Mary Quant. 

Open Bitch (6/3) 1) Mr R and Mrs S Williams, Manacas Amber Cover at Wimerella (Imp SWE). Red. Deep chest, nice lay of angulation in the rear. Held top line on the move. Toed in slightly in the rear on the move away. Nice dark pigment. 2) Ms C Scott, Wolferlow Anthea, B/T. Smaller type over all. Nice dark pigment. 3) Mrs J Remmer, Lady Clarissa.
