Correct reach & drive. BPD & BP; 2 Paget & Carroll’s Marvale Northern Star, another good pup of different type, he also has a good head & eye, long neck, well laid shoulder, good ribbing & balanced angulation. Slightly taller & just needs to fill in a little more to complete picture; 3 Melbourne & Holdsworth’s Ambreglo Storm at Melriding. PD (2) 1 Callow’s Garthorne Gavin, this puppy had an OK head, long neck, well placed shoulder, good forechest, upper arm a little short, long ribbing & well balanced quarters. Rather narrow coming towards me but plenty of drive from the rear; 2 Dunhill’s Gellijams Parker. JD (0). PGD (5,1) 1 Phillips’ Stargang Devil-May-Care of Robinswood, red dog I have judged before & liked. He has a lovely head, dark eye, long neck, good shoulder placement, would prefer longer upper arm, long ribs, good bone & balance to quarters. Could have carried more body today; 2 Shutt’s Donnadoon Waterloo Sunset, lovely type of dog but not cooperating today. Just my type, his construction is very correct with long ribbing, short loin & good angulation. Moved well some of the time; 3 Starkey’s Carpaccio Just My Luck with Hamoura. LD (5,1) Hard class to judge, all had lots of good points & no doubt will change places. 1 Roberts’ Denver Darling Doctor Who, lovely on the stack. Good head & eye, good neck, good lay of shoulder, long ribbing, well balanced quarters with good balance to first & second thigh, unlucky to meet the CC winner today. RCC; 2 Melbourne & Holdsworth’s Melriding Perkin Warbeck, another very well constructed boy, lovely head & eye, excels in front construction, excellent bone & feet, long ribbing, balanced rear. Moved soundly when settled; 3 Protheroe’s Royalmaple Anky Panky. OD (6) 1 Barrett’s Ch Ayseebee Rumour Has It, black male of excellent breed type. Correct head & eye, well filled front, excellent bone, ribbing carried well back, good balance to first & second thigh, would have preferred slightly shorter rear pastern but certainly won this CC easily for me. Moved well with great outline & covered the ground well; 2 Hunt’s Ch Carpaccio Casablanca, smaller, stockier type with a fair head, dark eye, good neck & shoulder, good ribbing & balanced angulation front & rear, moved true but not the extension of my winner; 3 Williams, Moes & Harp-Jones’ Cwmdarhian Tropic Thunder at Carlita. VD (1) 1 Herrington’s Ch Kathington Coeur De Lion, this is one of those dogs who goes on improving. Loves his showing & is ultra smart. Can certainly cover the ground well & in fabulous condition. MPB (9,2) Lovely class of babies. 1 Blackburn-Bennett’s Stargang Cherry Berry, loved this girl, lovely head, long neck, well angulated shoulder, good bone & ribbing, good length to first thigh, good second thigh, good rear pastern. Needs to tighten in muscletone but a very nice prospect. BPB; 2 Hunt’s Carpacciop Scarlet O’Hara, not the head of my winner but very well proportioned otherwise. Hope she grows on. Very enthusiastic on the move; 3 Williams & Moes’ Cwmdarhian The Xfactor. PB (8,2) 1 West’s Archidax Betty Boop, well balanced little bitch, all round fair head, good shoulder & quarters. Would have preferred a bit more bone. Moved very soundly keeping the best outline in profile. Happy temperament & well handled; 2 Andison & Peel’s Clentry Hello Tiger, very pretty brindle bitch, nice head & eye, good neck & shoulder, good bone, fair ribbing, good length to 1^st thigh, short back, just needs to lengthen a little to complete the picture; 3 Burton’s Swingletrees Star Arni Dahl. JB (3,1) 1 Logan’s Lodargeo Goblindol She’s A Diva, pretty bitch, beautiful head & eye, lovely ears, long neck, would have preferred more length to upper arm, however she has a very well angulated rear. Moved very well & with good drive; 2 Mills’ Oniasid Tiger Tiger, brindle, much taller type than the winner & looked far less mature. However she had a lovely temperament & moved well showing a clean pair of heels. PGB (3) 1 Melbourne & Holdsworth’s Stargang Glimmer at Melriding, very well constructed b/t, lovely head & eye, good shoulder placement, good bone & feet, good length of ribbing, very well angulated quarters, moved very well with good reach & drive. RCC; 2 Reed’s Deercroft Deep Secret, good head & neck, well constructed shoulder, good ribbing, slightly longer rear pastern, moved out well covering the ground well; 3 Smyth’s Morrow Silver Moondust. LB (12,3) Very good class, first three can easily change places another day. 1 Russell’s Russteck Plum Duff, nice head, good eye shape, good neck & shoulder, ribbing carried well back, good balance to quarters. Excellent bone, moved very soundly; 2 Paget & Carroll’s Wilmerella Secret Liaison with Marvale, bitch I have admired before. Same remarks apply to her. Not quite in top show condition today but nevertheless a lovely bitch; 3 Kerry & Kerry’s Kireton Cici. OB (4) 1 Blackburn-Bennett’s Stargang Star Anise, ultra sound with the very best outline today. Good head, long neck, well laid shoulder, ribbing extends well back, fabulous bone, super quarters. Up to size for me but moved effortlessly with correct reach & drive. Won CC easily & BOB; 2 Melbourne & Holdsworth’s Ch Golden Algonquinette of Melriding, lovely bitch, another I have admired in the past. Very well constructed & ultra sound. Not quite the extension of the CC & RCC winners today; 3 Callow’s Garthorne Miss Toffee. VB (0). GCB (2) 1 West’s Archidax Bonneville, very showy girl completely enjoying her day! In great condition & really sound on the move; 2 Neill-Fraser’s Ch Siouxline Thomasina.
