I really enjoyed judging Miniature Smooths and would
like to thank the majority of exhibitors for the sporting way in which my
placings were recieved, my decisions were totally unbiased and were in my
opinion based upon the best representatives to the breed standard, however
there were a handful of exhibitors who really do need to learn ring side
etiquette and realise that ring side judging and shouting their opinions on
fellow exhibitors dogs should not influence the judge of the day and most
certainly wouldn't me, we all go to a dog show hoping to win but have to
except that not everyone has the same opinion of your dogs on another day
the tables may turn but let's enjoy dog showing for what it is suppose to be
Fun first and foremost!
My main winners pleased me immensely and I thought my
BOB winner an absolute delight and such an exciting prospect for the future,
you will see from my placings that I really do judge to type as a number of
my winners were of similar breeding.
The breed in general I feel needs to concentrate on
front assembly some have no width what so ever , wrinkle seems to be
appearing again which is quite ugly , flat feet and bad pigment is something
I really don't appreciate and there were a number with light eyes and pale
nails. Also a wipe down with baby oil before entering the ring just will not
pass if underneath they are dirty and smelling of urine.
Movement wasn't to bad in general and heads have
improved as has length of rib and tail sets with only 2 with kinks.

1.Kent'sLokmandi Bowetts Testarosso,
7 month old red baby of lovely type excellent reach of
neck with lovely front and good length of ribbing he has good ground
clearance just needs to tighten up behind which I'm sure he will do given
time.
2.Hughes's clentry copper glow to Julidachs.
Red of nice type but is young and needs time.
3.Burtons Swingletrees Warpaint.

1.Taylor'sOur Chocolate Chip To Trageeda.
Chocolate boy who was up to weight but has some to
loose and then he will look even better however he deserved this class for
his breed type and ultra true movement.
2.Burton'sSwiggletrees Warpaint
8 month old red baby who needs to improve and tighten
up on movement having said that he is a baby and has plenty of time to do
so.

1.Barrett'sStar's Tori Great Joy
Red Brindle lovely head and correct front assembly with
plenty of heart room, adequate length of ribbing well angulated behind with
plenty of ground clearance on the move one that shows promise.
2.Ergis'sSiouxline The Musketeer
Very promising youngster who just needs to gain in
confidence to show his potential.
3.Dunhills Gellijams Aldaniti

This young man stood alone in this class but he
impressed me a great deal , he is of a lovely type with no
exaggerations,excellent lay back of shoulder with good length of upper arm,
lovely turn of stifle with True free movement front and back I was pleased
to award him the Res cc and would say he should have given the chance a
bright future ahead of him.

Loved this red boy he just shouts out quality, he looks
so well balanced when standing with an excellent length of top and under rib
and plenty of heart room , lovely head and reach of neck into well laid
shoulders , correct topline held well as he moved free and true with reach
around the ring.pleased to award him CC.
2.Barrett'sCH. Ayseebee Rumour Has It.
Black and Tan lad who has many qualities to admire but
for me was not as well balanced and wasn't as good in front movement today.
3.Protheroe's Royalmaple Anky Panky.

9 year old boy just starting to show his age a little
none the less he has plenty of breed type to admire and thoroughly enjoyed
his day out.

1.Hunt's Carpaccio Midnight Lace.
Wow nearly 9 month old little lady who I fell for in a
big way the second I saw her stood in the line up my eyes were totally drawn
to her she oozes quality from her beautiful head to her correctly set tail
she totally took charge of the ring beautiful front construction and
excellent length of upper arm with lovely full chest correct and well padded
feet with no sign of wrinkle good length of both top and under rib beautiful
muscled hammy quarters which she shows of well in her profile movement as
she moves freely around the ring presented in perfect condition, yes she is
young but today was her day and I could find nothing to beat her and was
delighted to award her the first of many I predict! CC,BOB and Best Puppy.
2.Dunhill's Net Narin Vitelia At Gellijam
Black and Tan of nice type very good layback of
shoulder and length of upper arm good length of ribbing and well rounded
quarters, moved well in front just needs to tighten a little on backend
which I'm sure she will do given her young age.
3.Robert's &Smith's Danton Midnight Star.
Puppy (B) (8).
1.Davies's Radclyffe Athena At Davidax.
Red young lady who won this class on her overall breed
type she has a lovely head beautiful shoulders with good lay back of
ribbing nice tight well padded feet good pigment ,keep a good topline whilst
moving true both front and behind.
2.Kent's Lokmadi Oh Marian.
Again a promising youngster who is very sound
throughout I just preferred the head of number 1.
3.Williams's & Moes's Cwmdarhian Queen Alena.

1.Price's Samlane Desdemona.
Red young lady who really did impress me she is so
sound to go over lovely head and eye beautiful front assembly with plenty of
heart room correct length of both top and under rib well angulated quarters
which she uses well to produce true parallel movement one with a rosy future
ahead of her.
2.Williams's & Moes's Cwmdarhian The X Factor.
Another Promising Youngster who has much to admire
,however I did prefer the head of number 1 and she did also have very bald
ears, but I'm sure she will have a successful future ahead.
3.Merry's Isabella Made For Merryline.

1.Attwell's Springfern Hermione.
Black and Tan lady of correct proportions , long reachy
neck running into well laid shoulders good length of top rib although would
prefer slightly longer under rib she has well angulated quarters with a
correct tail set , moved out freely with plenty of reach both front and
behind.
2.Williams's. & Moes's Cwmdarhian Ice Ice Baby
Red lady who seemed to lack confidence today she has a
lovely front assembly, excellent top line and very well angulated quarters
however for me she has too much loose skin which may probably be corrected
with more exercise and her pigment is too light.
3.Bullis's Amaffrey's La Vie En Rose.

1.Hughes's Siouxline Tiana To Julidachs.
Red compact lady who has a lovely head and eye well
balanced correct front and rear angles with good top,and underline she won
this class on her free true parallel movement.
2.Davies's Davidax Red Button.
Another quality red lady who has a good layback of
shoulder with a fair reach of upper arm with adequate bend of stifle moved
well in front a little close behind , I preferred the overall balance of
number 1.
3.Rollinson's Cwmdarhian Lady In Red For Diamonddax Jw

1.Hunt's CH. Cappaccio Blithe Spirit JW ShCm.
Black and Tan lady full sister by an earlier mating to
her kennel mate , she is of such a classic type I loved her beautiful head
and eye so well balanced with beautifully constructed front assembly and
very well angulated muscled rear excellent length of ribbing reaching well
back her movement is a delight to watch free flowing with fantastic
extension , as always beautifully presented, she pushed her kennel mate hard
but today was the bridesmaid to her younger sister.Res CC.
2.Ergis's CH. Siouxline Rapunzel With Melriding.
Lovely type red lady who is quality throughout she has
a lovely head and eye with good lay back of shoulder topline held well on
the move but I preferred the back movement of the winner today.
