Thank you to Brian and Carol, my two Stewards, for your efficient and unobtrusive stewarding. Overall mouths were excellent, temperaments by and large delightful and ground clearance generally very good. BCC & BOB was Hunt's Ch Carpaccio Midnight Lace JW, this is a beautiful light-shaded-red bitch of much quality and true breed type who was on top form and presents a lovely balanced outline. She is sweetly feminine all over yet in firm muscular condition, attractive head and eye, prominent keel, good angulation fore and aft and with lovely ribbing and top-line & underline in-between. Ground clearance is correct and she moved truly with a certain amount of style. A poppet.  
RBCC was Dunhill's Shantallah Shady Lady At Gellijam, attractive dark-shaded-red bitch who is maturing into a typy Dachshund in miniature, lovely head and eye, nicely filled keel complete with dimples, sound in front with good feet, ribbing extends well back to well-angled hindquarters and she is in good muscular condition. Most promising and one for the upper house. DCC was Ergis' Ch Siouxline Aaron JW, I judged this lovely dog in 2014 where he won a good Minor Puppy class and it is satisfying to see he has fulfilled his earlier promise and matured into a top class hound. Light-shaded-red, he has all the essentials of a true Dachshund in miniature, masculine head, correct angulation where required, commendable ground clearance, best of legs and beautiful feet and moved with much confidence and correct action. RDCC was Ergis' Siouxline Jacob JW, yearling clear-red hound of impeccable quality who pressed hard for the CC, he has all the attributes of a quality hound, typical head and eye, sound front and sturdy legs and feet, most elegant neck and shoulders, ideal ribcage extending well back, correctly constructed hind quarters, good ground clearance and showed to advantage. One to watch. BP was Mitchell's Bronia Biaggio, a promising black-and-tan youngster maturing nicely into a quality Dachshund, he scores in overall outline and balance and for his top-line and underline, masculine head, prominent keel, good ribbing extending well back and confident movement. 
VD (1) 1 Nolan's Kelmbeck Lord of the Dance at Eddyval, 9 year old black and tan dog who stood alone but was deserving of his 1st placing, this boy was in good condition for his age and showed well. 
PD (5,1) 1 B Biaggio. 2 Barrett's Ayseebee Twinkling Star, also black and tan and who pressed hard for the 1st placing, another sound typy puppy who presents a similar outline to the one above, good head, sound forequarters and hindquarters, best of legs and feet and showed well. 3 Lombardelli's Kelmbeck Sydney. 
JD (5) 1 B Biaggio. 2 Prothero's Royalmaple Fiddle Sticks, black and tan youngster who has an attractive head and expression, sound front assembly and well-angled hindquarters, in good muscular condition. Preferred the top-line and underline of the one above. 3 Burke & Manston's Bonavoir Blackjack. 
PGD (5) 1 S Jacob JW. 2 Shutt's Melriding Captain Cook of Donnadoon, sound red brindle who was unlucky to meet the one above today, a most respectable miniature Dachshund of good quality, pleasing head, overall balance is of good proportions, attractive top-line and underline and in lovely muscular condition allowing for good movement. 3 Cumberland's Mumysami Clicalicious For Yorami. 
LD (6,4) 1 Smith's Wolferlow Admiral Nelson, four and a half year old black and tan, well- constructed overall with sound front and firm feet, ribbing extends well back and showed well. 2 Roberts' Wingcrest Supersonic To Denver, honest black and tan of 19 months close up to the one above, soundly made but just preferred the keel of the one above. 
OD (6,1) A super class to judge. 1 Ch S Aaron JW. 2 Barratt's Ch Ayseebee Rumour Has It, quality Dachshund in miniature and a most worthy Champion, black and tan, masculine head, lovely front construction and keel, sound legs and tight feet, ribcage extends well back, hindquarters are correctly angled and he is in well-muscled condition. Movement was excellent and in tip top condition. 3 Protheroe's Ch Mapleroyal Anky Pandy. 
VB (1) 1) 1 Neil-Fraser's Ch Siouxline Thomasina JW, attractive black and tan bitch who at 8 years is in good condition, sweet head, sound as a bell all over, good angulation fore and aft, correct top-line and underline and has true breed type. 
PB (15,1) 1 Hunt's Carpaccio Claris Cliff , black-and-tan & 2 Roberts' Denver Cilla Black, shaded red. Two beautiful promising bitches, both of whom pressed hard for first place. These hounds could have changed places and will no doubt face each other again many times. Both are of lovely breed type and quality, sweet feminine heads, sound construction and good angulation front and rear. Preferred the neckline of first and marginally preferred hind action of second but loved them both! 3 Kent's Lokmadi Magic Dragon. 
JB (12) 1 S S L At Gellijam. 2 Reed's Deercroft Daybreak, lovely quality black and tan bitch who was very unlucky to meet the one above on the day, soundly made all over with best of legs and feet, correct breed type and a well-muscled body. She showed and moved well and is most promising. Just preferred the reach of neck of the one above. 3 Shutt's Donnadoon Carolina Moon. 
PGB (14,2) 1 Bullis' Goodtry Ruby Tuesday At Amaffrey, stylish shaded-red bitch of commendable breed type, attractive feminine head, correctly angled forequarters, prominent keel and best of top-line and underline. She has good muscular development and moved particularly well. 2 Roberts' Wingcrest Brigit Jones To Denver, sweet black-and-tan who initially was a little unsettled but eventually settled to the job in hand! Nice head and eye, correct shoulder construction and well-angled hindquarters. Preferred the ribbing and hind action of the one above. 3 Thompson's Wilmerella Red Velvet Oraysha. 
LB (6,2) 1 Protheroe's Picollo Teckel Never Say Never At Royalmaple (Imp), black-and-tan, & 2 Rudkin's Dynastydax Periwinkle JW, light shaded red. Two quality bitches who presented me with the most difficult decision of the day as both were deserving of the first place! Two Dachshunds in miniature of lovely breed type and both of whom have many qualities. At the end of the day I thought the first was a shade better in underline. Both will surely belong to the upper house. 3 Hardcastle & Cumberland's Mumysami One Clic Away From Dotalot. 
OB (8,1) A super class. 1 Ch C M Lace JW. 2 Protheroe's Royalmaple Daphne Blake, delightful elegant clearred bitch who was not at all disgraced being placed second here. Lovely head and expression, excellent front and keel, best of legs and feet, well developed ribbing extending well back to correctly angled hindquarters, top-line and underline are correct and she was in firm muscular condition. Just preferred the neckline of the one above: one for the upper house. 3 Ergis' Ch Siouxline Rapunzel With Melriding. 
GCB (5,1) 1 House's Gleadsbury Rumour Has It, lightly shaded red & 2 Mason's Magic Margret From Teckeltown, chocolate. Two honest bitches that were difficult to separate: both are soundly constructed and showed & moved well but thought that the first had just a wee bit more sparkle on the day! 3 Ch S Thomasina JW.
