I would like to thank the exhibitors for such an excellent entry. I would also like to thank my very excellent steward, who kept everything running smoothly.
Min Puppy dog (1) 1. Oakley & Pearson’s Ardenrun Affenbach. Smart brindle boy, well presented in shining coat. Lovely head and neck, scores on his excellent firm topline and strong hindquarters. Rather long in loin. Very free mover.
Puppy dog ( 3, 1 abs) 1.and Reserve CC And Best Puppy. Melbourne, Carroll & Paget’s Marvale in Cahoots with Melriding. Masculine shaded red puppy, strong head, and very good front. Overall very well balanced and well coupled. Strong hindquarters. Lovely free mover not exaggerated. 2. Royalmaple Fiddle Sticks. B/T dog of very good type, but for me rather long in coupling. Lovely head , good neck and front. Could stand stronger on his hindquarters. Free mover.3. Ayseebee Look Who’s Talking to Ravenswood.
Junior Dog (4, 1 abs) 1. Ergis’ Siouxline Jacob. Red dog, proper size and bone. Very nice head. Good front, standing well under himself. Good topline & coupling. Very well angulated hindquarters. Very free mover but tends to over reach. 2. Cwmdarhian Don’t Push it at Davdax. B/T baby of 13 mo. with a lovely head, good neck and front, good firm topline but at present stands high over his strong rear quarters. Very good and free mover. 3. Black Button Sweet Heart
Post grad dog (2) 1. Melbourne’s Ambreglo Storm at Melriding. B/T dog very well balanced . Nice head, good neck and front. Good and strong coupling, Strong rear quarters. Moved really well, freely and without exaggeration. 2. Our Chocolate Chip to Trageeda. Chocolate dog with the most loose movement that I saw on the day. Charming head .Reasonable front, and rear quarters.
Limit dog (4, 2 abs) 1. Startup’s Curtisey Head Gardener. Very nice red dog, well balanced and nicely angulated fore and aft. Very nice head, and well coupled. Scored on his excellent strong hind action. 2. Dynastydax Secret Agent. B/T dog strongly built, lovely head and good neck, good over the front, although the elbows could be smoother. Well coupled. Good mover but could be stronger in rear action.
Open dog (6 ) 1. And Dog CC. Scott’s Wolferlow Will Scarlet. For me this was the most typical Dachshund; he is quite strongly built, but is so well balanced overall. Very good, strong head very good neck set smoothly into good front, very good body and topline, strong hindquarters both standing and on the move. Free and not exaggerated mover. I really liked him, a real Dachshund and a smaller version of his big “cousin” 2. Ch Siouxline Aaron. Very classy shaded sable dog, lovely head, well angulated forequarters, set far back, excellent topline and nice hindquarters. Moved very freely but tended to over reach in front. 3. Ch. Royalmaple Anky Panky.
Veteran D/B ( 3) 1. West’s Archidax Bonneville Coming up to eight years, this bitch looks great; lovely head and body, stands so true on her front quarters. Fine topline and finish over the croup to hindquarters. Moved freely and truly. 2. Ch Siouxline Thomasina. Really sweet bitch, a bit longer in body. Good front, set rather far back. Good mover. 3. Lokmadi Hidden Dragon.
Good citizen D/b (2) 1. Startup’s Barisse A Touch of Magic. B/T dog who scored on his good movement in this class. Nice head good front and showed very good ground clearance. 2. Siouxline Thomasina.

Postgrad bitch (13, 4 abs) 1. Protheroe’s Royalmaple Daphne Blake. Shaded red bitch, very classy. Lovely head, good neck and front, set further back. Lovely finish over the topline and hindquarters. Nice head very good neck and front end, nice and deep body while maintaining ground clearance, strong topline, and good over the croup and tailset, strong hindquarters. Moved out so freely. I understand she was just made up into a champion. 2. Ch Cwmdarhian the XFactor. Red bitch, another lovely mover and a lovely bitch. Nice head, neck and front end, strong over the topline.
