To judge Dachshunds is for me like coming back home. Kari and I spent 10 years breeding and showing Miniature Wirehaired Dachshund making up 12 champions on our way. I still miss these wonderful small personalities and I have many happy memories from my time with our Dachshunds and the Dachshund people.

1st: 1626 HERRINGTON Mrs K A Ch Kathington Coeur De Lion. Here is a lovely dog which I have always admired. The little prince is still in excellent form. He is full of confidence and he gave his younger competitors an honest fight.

1st: 1604 BARRETT Mr A Ayseebee Twinkling Star. A promising puppy of high class. I love everything about this young man. He had a typical outline and he moved very well.
2nd: 1656 STARKEY Mrs W G M Carpaccio Black Obsidian For Hamoura. Nice dog of good type. Quite a nice head, well angulated. Moves quite well, but tail carriage is too high.

1st: 1642 MITCHELL Mrs F Bronia Biaggio. I was impressed by this young gentleman which I am sure will go a long way. He has quite a nice head, good keel, firm topline and strong quarters. He moved very well, and he won the RCC in strong competition. BP & RCC
2nd: 1645 PROTHEROE Mr P Royalmaple Fiddle Sticks. Beautiful dog of excellent type. He was well developed in body an had an excellent outline. I preferred his head to the one of the winner, but the dog lacked self-confidence which made me place him second..

1st: 1639 MELBOURNE, Mrs D A & PAGET, Mr M J & CARROLL Mr Marvale In Cahoots With Melriding. Nice dog of good type. Quite a nice head, well angulated both ends, excellent neck. Moves well, but would have like to see him with a better temperament.
2nd: 1631 JENNINGS Miss J Duddondaxs Judge Jude. Dog of good type, nice head and a good neck. Well angulated in front with a good keel. Topline could be better. He falls over the croup and should be better angulated behind.

1st: 1621 ERGIS Mrs S M Siouxline Jacob JW. Nice dog of very good type. I preferred his head to the head on the second so that is why he won the class. He is well developed in body and move e very well.
2nd: 1613 CAREY Miss D Donnadoon Dark MoonbeamIt’s a lot to like about this dog, but head and expression could be better. He has a firm topline and is well angulated. Move very well.

1st: 1605 BARRETT Mr A Ch Ayseebee Rumour Has It. Here he was, my pride and joy. On this day it was no male who could touch this fabulous little man. He impressed me no end even if his tan markings could have been better defined. He stood like a first-class stallion and he moved like a first-class trotter. Well done to a brilliant Miniature Dachshund. CC & BOS
2nd: 1622 ERGIS Mrs S M Ch Siouxline Aaron JW. Another superb dog. He looked a picture standing, but I would have liked him to stride out more behind.

1st: 1652 SCOTT Ms C M Wolferlow Blackberry Pie. Bitch of high quality. I liked her outline and she was well developed in body. She had style and presence and she moved very well.
2nd: 1654 SMITH Mrs H Wolferlow Brown Silk. Another very nice bitch of excellent type. Quite a nice head. She gives a nice picture standing and she moves well. I would, however, have liked to see her with a better temperament.

2nd: 1609 BULLIS Mrs A Goodtry Ruby Tuesday At Amaffrey. Nicely headed bitch which gives a lovely picture standing, but I would have liked to see more drive in her movements.

1st: 1657 WILLIAMS, Ms R & MOES Mr C Cwmdarhian Prty Lika Rushn. I had been waiting for this little princess all day. She impressed me with a lovely head and a long muscular neck which was slightly arched. She is moderately long with sloping shoulders and had an excellent topline with strong quarters. She carried herself perfectly on the move and she drove around the ring with drive and determination. This wonderful bitch wanted to win, and so she did. CC & BOB
2nd: 1659 WORSWICK Mrs C Dolyharp Sonata. Close to the winner in type and quality, but she hadn’t quite got the same charisma and showmanship.
3rd: 1618 DAVIES Miss S L Radclyffe Athene At Davdax

1st: 1629 HUNT Mrs S & Mr J Ch Carpaccio Midnight Lace JW. Here was Prty Lika’s main competitor. She is a high-quality bitch and she gives an excellent picture of a quality Dachshund. She moved very well, but tail carriage could have been better. RCC
2nd: 1638 MELBOURNE, Mrs D & CARROLL Mr G Stargang Glimmer At Melriding. Fabulous bitch of high class. Nice head and excellent outline, but not as free moving as the winner.
