BEST OF BREED : CALLOW Garthorne Grace Kelly
Thank you to the exhibitors for a super entry of hounds, on what must have been the hottest day of the year!
I was really pleased with the overall quality but was disappointed to see so many really long nails, resulting in collapsed toes and slack pasterns on many. I make no apology for commenting on this, the array of excuses as to why this was, was extensive!
Minor puppy dog - 2(1A)
1st Magri’s Bronia Cellini Rozamie. Classy, red dog of nice type, scores in head and front construction, needs to settle in rear.
Puppy dog - 2
1st Mason’s Croat Teckletown Masterpiece. Houndy, red dog with a smart head and good reach of neck, smart mover with a firm topline.
2nd Coxon’s D’Arisca Drives A Daimler. Black and tan dog of finer type, was a little unsettled here and lost his topline on the move.
Junior Dog - 1
1st Selby’s Merryline Stanley . Rangy black and tan dog with a super head, could carry more weight to advantage, nails need attention.
Yearling dog - 2
1st Bullis’s Amaffrey Will I Am. Neat and tidy black and tan dog, decent head, correctly angulated fore and aft. Sound mover with a correct topline.
2nd Stevenson’s Rioday Dishy Master Digby At Penwooddax. Smart head on this black and tan dog but he needs more condition on him, losing his topline on the move.

Junior Bitch – 12 (2a)
1st Mitchell’s Bronia Antonella. Another cracking bitch from this clever breeder. Litter sister to winner of puppy bitch, and very much of the same make and shape – but more finished than her sister. Moves with drive and extension, pleased to award her the Reserve CC. Should gain her crown with ease.
2nd Moes & Williams’ Cwmdarhian Bonnie Parker. Lovely, red bitch with a lot to like. Put down to the minute as were all this exhibitor’s dogs. Well-made all through and moved well, just lost out to 1 on maturity.

1st Callow’s Garthorne Grace Kelly. Aptly named, classy brindle bitch from the top drawer. Absolutely loved her for her type, construction and effortless movement.
