Thank you to the Committee of the Hound Assn for inviting me to judge at your prestigious show. Also thank you to the exhibitors for such a wonderful entry, and to my two ring stewards who kept things moving!

I elected to judge indoors for two reasons, the first being the forecast temperature, and secondly to be able to see your dogs moving. I am aware that some of you weren’t happy with my decision, but we had a wonderful huge ring, and no dogs overheated.

Minor Puppy Dog. 2 Entries.1 abs.

1^st – Jennings’ Melriding Boris Pasternak, choc dapple, lovely head, moved well, very raw baby.

Puppy Dog. 2 Entries.1 abs.

1^{st _} Cross and Black’s Riowood Red Boots, compact red youngster, moved soundly. Handsome hound head, correct bite, excellent shoulder placement. BPD. BP in breed.

Junior Dog. 2 Entries. 1 abs.

1^st – Paget & Carroll’s – Marvale Red Cardinal, another red with correct conformation. Loved his head, nothing to dislike. Strode out well, confident sound mover, pleased to award him Res CC

Yearling Dog. 4 Entries.1 abs.

1^st- Jennings’ Marvale A Royal Affair, b/t, liked his head, bite correct, good length of rib, sound on the move.

2^nd- Magri’s Bronia Cellini Rozamie, narrower all through than the class winner, but moved soundly to gain his place.

3^rd- Dalton’s LLansansiors Mr. Cinnamon

Special Beginners Dog – No Entries.

Post Graduate Dog. 5 Entries.1 abs.

1^st – Jennings’ Marvale Northern Cardinal at Jenivon, red, well shaped head, correct shoulders, good length of rib, movement correct fore and aft.

2^nd - Russell’s Fox Earth Tiger Roll, b/t, good topline, lovely forechest, well angulated.

3^rd. Dalton’s Llansansiors Mr Cinnamon.

Limit Dog – 8 Entries.2 abs. Hot class.

1^st – Mason’s Teckeltown Master Piece, red dog, compact outline, neat angulation, lovely head and eye, correct bite, good shoulder placement, good length of rib, movement sound and free, both fore and aft, covering the ground with ease. DCC. He fought hard in my final choice to win BOB.

2^nd – Paget and Carroll’s Marvale Goldfinch, red, lovely head, moved out well, a little lower to ground than class winner.

3rd – Mutton’s Ivan Poddubny Iz Omskai Kreposti For Montone (Imp Rus)

Open Dog – 10 Entries. 1 abs. Great class of beautiful dogs!

1^st – Moes & Williams – Ch Cwmdarhian Jesse James, red, compact type, lovely head, good length of ribbing, good underline, excellent front assembly, moved well with drive in his class. So disappointed that in the Challenge he appeared to go lame.

2^nd - Paget & Carroll’s - Riowood Black Jack, b/t, compact, good shoulder placement, good underline.

3^rd- Ergis’ Ch. Siouxline Jacob  JW.

Veteran  Dog – 2 Entries.

1^st. Fossett’s Lokmadi A Boy Named Sue JW Sh. JW, 9yr old b/t, lovely condition, well muscled, sound mover maintaining topline.

2^nd. Nolan’s Kelmbeck Lord of the Dance at Eddyval, 13yr old, belied his age, what a credit to his breeder and owner.

1^st - Paget and Carroll’s Marvale’s Austerlitz, light red girl, correct height to length ratio, pretty head, correct bite, moved soundly, very promising puppy. BPB.

2^nd - Callow’s Garthorne Glenda, brindle, good length ribbing, sound movement.

3^rd- Gittins’ Markidachs Saffron Dream at Boomerloo

1^st – Hanney- Mitchell’s Ch. Bronia Antonella, red, lovely head, reachy neck, good length of ribbing, moved true fore and aft. Nothing to dislike! My comments say “Sound as a pound!” BCC

2^nd – Beach’s Beachdax Queen of Hearts, b/t, lovely head, good length of rib, movement true.

3^rd -Kent’s Lokmadi With a Dragon Tattoo

1.     Ergis’ Siouxline Rapunzel with Melriding, red 9yr old, beautiful outline, moving and standing. This girl shines out and was a strong contender in the Challenge. BV.
