This class held so much promise with such class exhibits for the near future. So many lovely dogs stood in one ring and could change places often, especially the first 4 places..

Well constructed, and great in profile.  lovely shaped head, dark eye. strong front assembly, good angulation and sound in movement.

Class 943 OD (10 Entries) Abs: 3
This was without a doubt my class of the day, So many outstanding dogs present. I thought Limit Dog was full of quality, this one had so many outstanding ones present, also. A difficult class to make a decision from with all the quality there, it was down to preferences, alone. Little to choose the differance between those placed, and I was delighted they were here today.

1st: 1846 COROMINAS, Miss Maria Scenterbay Rafael For Ruichango JW - BOB & Dog CC. This dog caught my eye as soon as he came before me. Everything about him appealed to me. His temperament, build, size and movement. Going over him did not disappoint me, one bit. Super head, eye, reach of neck, shoulder placement and tight feet. Body correct in proportion, movement sound and lovely to watch such movement enhanced by super dog/handler relationship. Pleased and proud to be able to grant him his title. (subject to KC approval.)
2nd: 1863 HANNEY-MITCHELL, Mrs F Ch Bronia Daimmen. A lovely outstanding dog full of quality, with nothing for me to dislike. Masculine head, dark eye, fair reach of neck good shoulders, topline, firm, His attitude to showing was impeccable and his construction, so sound. Build, construction, movement, attitude and ring presence were great
3rd: 1892 O'CONNELL, Mr Richard & O'CONNELL, Mrs Aimee Ch Rijobeau Rita Bix With Llennocor. He didn't put a foot wrong, and he looked the Champion he surely is. Correct shaped head and eye, lovely reach of neck and shoulders, moved out so well.

Class 944 GCD (2 Entries) Abs: 0
1st: 1895 REYNOLDS, Miss Hayley Kleinstar Blue Moon.  As previously posted, 2nd post Graduate dog

Class 945 SBB (7 Entries) Abs: 3
1st: 1904 SOMMERS, Miss Nicole Penjulai's Over The Moon. B&tan nicely constructed. quite a pretty head, fair shoulders, but a bit rangy for me, but not counted as a fault. She moved soundly keeping her topline at all times.
2nd: 1843 BOSWORTH, Mrs Louise Bronia Solange At Louromi. She was a bit erratic and could do with firmer handling or time to grow out of it. Overall quite a pleasing Bitch and with time should turn out ok.
3rd: 1907 STODDARD, Miss K L Poppyville Black Magic

Class 946 VB (1 Entries) Abs: 0
1st: 1894 LUNT, Mrs Anne Marvale Silver Sorceress At Louarne. She has a classic head and a good length of neck. Enough forechest, well laid back ribbing and moved fine around the ring.

Class 947 PB (10 Entries) Abs: 2
1st: 1920 WILSON, Mrs Nakita O’hare Atikan Give Them Merry Hell, A very pleasing young Puppy. Full of promise, I liked what I saw in her today. Everything in the right place to be something nice. Pleasing Head and eye, good  depth of keel, fair angulation, adequate ribbing and good movement.
2nd: 1881 JENNINGS, Mrs J Jenivon's Spicebomb, Very similar thoughts on this Bitch as the winner, would have liked a firmer topline. But time for that is on her side, and see no reason fo it not to.
3rd: 1906 STEWARD, Mr Charlie Luffewick Queen Bee (bb4)

Class 948 JB (6 Entries) Abs: 0
1st: 1865 HANNEY-MITCHELL, Mrs F Naisha Crespalia Bronia (imp Esp).  Loved this young Bitch, who when came into the ring was showing so much talent. Really well constructed everywhere, Her movement was sound as was her topline. The front assembly perfect for what I would have expected of her. I did consider her for the Reserve CC, she was so nice. Just needs a little more time, for me, but will be stunning
2nd: 1832 BAIN, Mr Leslie & BAIN, Mrs Diane & BAIN, Mr Mathe Clentry Bumblebee At Wenichones.
3rd: 1880 JENNINGS, Mrs J Jenivon's Secret Wish

Class 949 PGB (9 Entries) Abs: 2
1st: 1849 ERGIS, Mrs S Siouxline Elsa Marie.  I really like the constuction of this Bitch which shone out in this class. Lovely type head correct pro sternum tight well kept feet. Her ribbing was adequate in length and she had super quarters which enabled her to move so well.
2nd: 1885 KIRKWOOD-EMERY, Misses A & A Marvale Rosefinch At Helydon. A very nice flashy type Bitch, lovely to watch her go so soundly round the ring. She was great to go over with everything in the right places, and she did look the part. She was handled so well and confidently to which she responded to immediately.
3rd: 1844 BUTTERSTONE, Miss Andrea Jane Joshotto Martha Gunn

Class 950 LB (11 Entries) Abs: 3
Another Class where I was spoilt for choice with at least 5 Bitches worthy of 1st place on the right day. Again down to preferences, and again a pleasurable class to examine.

1st: 1890 MELBOURNE, Mrs Diana & CARROLL, Mr Gary & PAGET, M Melriding Silver Spangle. Reserve Bitch CC. Beautifully made all through and so sound in movement and well constructed. She looked a worthy winner on the floor and going on the table added to my pleasure. Her front assembly was constructed as one would wish for, She moved soundly and swiftly round the ring, keeping her topline all the time.
2nd: 1864 HANNEY-MITCHELL, Mrs F Bronia Blayze, I cant fault this Bitch either. Super quality, sound and a pleasure to see moving. Everything about her exuded quality and sure gave 1 a run for her placing.
3rd: 1836 BEACH, Miss Leah Michaela & BEACH, Messers Liam Jo Beachdax Girl Of My Dreams. Another one from this class i liked very much, true, sound and outline was pleasing to see.

Class 952 GCB (2 Entries) Abs: 0
1st: 1866 HERALD, Mrs R & Miss S J Winterfield's June Of Arabia. Everything about her build and confirmation was ok. She moved well and had a correct topline, good hind angulation.
2nd: 1907 STODDARD, Miss K L Poppyville Black Magic, Pleasing Bitch, but needs more time to settle into this event. Nicely constructed overall.

This concludes my days Judging. A thank you to the City of Birmingham and everyone concerned with my invitation, today. Also to my two Stewards for enabling the classes to go smoothly throughout the day. A bigger thank to everyone entered today, I enjoyed every minute of today and found in both Smooths and Miniature Smooths some outstanding exhibits. Which makes not only judging more pleasurable but makes it worth carrying on Judging.

The atmosphere was great and everyone made it seem so worthwhile after the placings were made, in showing and applauding those positions. We don't have enough of this these days, but I cant complain on today's events.
