MINIATURE LONG-HAIRED: MPD (8) 1 Roberts’ Denver’s Musketeer. Very promising 8 and a half month B/T puppy with a superb head head and eye, carried well well on reachy neck running into well placed shoulders. Good feet and ribbing going well back, and kept a good topline at all times. When he gains his confidence should hit the top spots. 2 Graham’s Burntbarn Boogie Woogie. Another nice puppy. Still very much a baby. Is a well marked choc/dapple with a good head, front, shoulders and feet. Just needs to firm up in hind movement. Roadwork should do it. 3 Welton’s Chelane Crown Prince.
PD (4) 1 Angear’s Ridgegrove Cuddly Dudley. My find of the day. Came into the ring full of confidence at just 10 and a half months. Couldn’t find anything to fault. Perfect head and expression, good long neck running into perfect shoulder placement. Excellent pro-sternum, ribbing going well back. Good rounded rump, moved soundly and positively on well rounded feet. Condition immaculate, asked for and got Best Puppy, CC and Best of Breed, then shortlisted in the group. 2 Croxford’s Sandwells Cardinal at Arbroath. Neat little red dog with a lot to like. Good head, coat and feet. Good topline, but kept his head tucked in a bit and was rather shy. 3 Broad’s Jenwood Ring of Bells.
JD (5) 1 Hall’s Gayvilles Northern Defender. Very smart, well coated and low to the ground B/T boy. Head could be finer in skull but on the whole a nice dog that moved well with a good topline. 2 Brooks’ Lyndarlea Digby Boy. Eyecatching little cream boy with a nice head and expressionb. Elbows could be tighter, feet OK. Moved well. 3 Brain’s Jadag Miniature Hero.
PGD (7) 1 Smith’s Picklescott Yazer at Neuhaus. Very smart cream dog. Nice head and eye, decent forechest, adequate ribbing. Kept topline on the move, good turn of stifle, best mover in the class. 2 Graver’s Melvalley Midnight Star. Thought he was my winner, with a good head and outline. Good bone and forechest but lost his topline on the move. 3 Cope’s Jumanda’s Hamlet.
LD (7) 1 Hartley’s Lyrosh Lord of the Manor. Easy winner in this eyecatching shaded cream. Great ring presence, beautiful construction and bone, lovely expressive head, well padded feet. Pressed hard in the challenge. Should do well. 2 Roberts’ Denver Jack Frost. Beautiful cream dog out of the top drawer. Hard to fault his construction. I have admired him from the ringside, but he let himself down on the day as he didn’t want to be handled, and didn’t put it all in on the move. 3 Smith’s Picklescott Yazer at Neuhaus.
OD (8) 1 Jamieson’s Airwaves to Carlang via Djeata. Very confident B/T boy with great ring presence. My type for freedom of movement and head carriage. Well ribbed, good feet, drove well behind. Unlucky to meet the puppy on the day. Res CC2 Brooks’ Quitrutec Half Day at Lyndarlea. Really gorgeous impressive cream with a lovely temperament. Good pigment. Super head and eye, good reach of neck and good feet. Drove well behind keeping his topline. Should do well. 3 Naden’s Marielle’s Brigadier Jerard.
MPB (17) 1 Davis’ Corrinbar Blue Angel. What a beautiful puppy this one is at 6 and a half months has star quality. Correct head and eye, reachy neck going into well placed shoulders, ribbing going well back. Good quarters and good turn of stifle. Lovely front construction. Moved positively on well padded feet, keeping her topline. All this covered in a beautiful marked silver/dapple coat. 2 Roberts’ Denver’s Babycham. Really smart red bitch, close up to the winner in type and build. I was nitpicking to separate them - should also do well in the future. 3 Scott’s Maydays Ruby Tuesday.
PB (5) 1 Crawley’s Doujac Duette. Very mature, very nice B/T puppy, put down to perfection. Perfect head, chest, body and feet. Liked everything about her - really stoot and took this class easily. One to watch. 2 Farmer’s Jenwood Candle Light. Really nice red bitch puppy. Close up to the winner in construction. Just preferred the feet of the winner - I liked her a lot. 3 Brooks’ Lyndarlea Brown Bear.
JB (9) 1 Scott’s, Jadag Kadbry Rose of Maydays. This young lady is one I’ve admired from the ring. Not lots of coat but she has nothing to hide. Well marked choc/dapple with correct head and eye. Reachy neck, excellent forechest, good ribbing, bone and quarters. Moved beautifully, head held high on well padded feet. RCC. 2. Thomas’s, Shenaligh Sweet Dreams. Neat red bitch. Not a glamorous girl but sound and well constructed. Just preferred the free fluid movement of my winner. 3. Naden’s, Marielle’s Haywoods Lamb.
PGB. (9). 1. Poole’s, Findowrie Christmas Rose. Well bodied sound, low to ground shaded cream. Beautiful bone, front, ribbing and quartersa. Presented in gleaming condition. Moved like a dream should have a bright future. Pressed hard in the challenge. 2. Earley’s, Yelva Lady’s Lucky Charm. Silver dapple, not the best silver but well marked. Decent head, nice round feet good forechest, ribbing and quarters Moved and kept topline at all times. 3. Murphy’s, Classidax Dangerously Good.
LD. (19). 1. Poole’s, Findowrie Society Miss. Very strong class of 17 dogs and very close decision between first and second. Very pretty pale red beautiful coat, good head, eye and ribbing and quarters which she used to advantage to take this class. One for the future. 2. McLachlan’s, Gayvilles Specially for You. Very difficult to fault this b/tan bitch. Thought her construction was beautiful. She behaved well and handled to perfection. My winner just had a bit more drive behind. Very close decision. Another for the top spots!. 3. Shutt’s, Donnadoon Passion Flower at Rhinestar.
OB. (8). 1.
Lockett’s, Ch. Ralines Royal Acclaim. Stunning red bitch which I’ve judged
before and given a BOB. A very worthy champion, oozes quality. Her record speaks
for itself. Easily CC winner. I’m sure therre’ll be many more to come yet. 2.
Brown’s, Ch. Northnook Ellie May at Garbosa. This lovely dark chocolate, is one
I’ve admired from the ring. Great ring presence, handled to perfection. A worthy
champion, hard to fault. Gave way to youth on the day on personal preferences.
