WKC 2002 Dachshund (Miniature Long Haired) Judge: Mrs R A Rawson
|
MP (6). 1 Hayes’s Dolyharp Swan Song of Dialhouse. Mature b/t, v smart with excellent fore chest, well laid shoulders, good length of ribbing, moving with drive; 2 Brace’s Ralines Sunny Delight with Xemxija. Not as mature as winner, smart cream boy with plenty of length, well balanced and another who moved with drive, not my favourite head; 3 Croxford’s Sandwells Cardinal at Arbroath.
P (2). 1 Brace’s Ralines Sunny Delight with Xemxija. First of two similar type creams, better on forehand than the 2nd; 2 Brook’s Lyndarlea Digby Boy. Excellent bone, good fore chest and length of ribbing, well angulated quarters but hind movement v unsettled on the day.
J (3). 1 Lockett’s Ralines Royal Statesman. Heading a v good class this lovely b/t with such clean lines and moving with elegance and drive, super head, long neck on well laid shoulders, only keel still to lengthen, all of a piece and never stopped showing, pleased to award him the CC and BOB; 2 Welton’s Chelane King Of The Castle. A promising shaded red youngster, shorter than the winner and not making the most of his good front construction, well balanced and moving true fore and aft; 3 Brook’s Rhinestar Phoenix at Lyndarlea.
PG (7). A difficult class to decide with some smart youngsters of quality. 1 Farmer’s Jenwood Fields Of Gold. V smart b/t similar type to 2 having more substantial bone and good balance throughout, well muscled and angulated quarters and moved steadily and with drive; 2 Robert’s Denver Jack Frost. Eye catching cream with good fore quarter construction, reasonable head and well handled, not length of first nor moving as well behind today; 3 Mee’s Barlaines Crusader.
L (8). 1 Allam’s Rafthouse Stand N Deliver to Meganhol. The first of two v smart b/t’s with v little to choose between them, more substantial bone, excellent balance throughout, well muscled and angulated quarters, moving steadily and with drive; 2 Hayes’ Dialhouse Midnight Velvet. Close up to winner with v good fore quarters, not as good in head and slightly longer in loin; 3 Croxford’s Arbroath Mr Mackinnon.
O (6). First three v different types. 1 McLachlan and Hall’s Gayvilles Northern Classic. B/t with super outline which he kept on the move, good fore chest and shoulder angulation, well let down behind and moving with drive, challenged hard and won RCC, hope his 3rd is not long in coming; 2 Dunn’s Ch Ashridge Private Ryan. Shaded red, v smart throughout and well handled, shorter in body than the 1; 3 Vaughan’s Tisanti Cream Toffee.
BITCHES:
MP (6). 1 Scott’s Zadophie Over The Moon to Wolferlow. V promising b/t with lovely fore quarters and shoulders, head carriage and ring presence v steady for such a baby, top line needs to settle on the move; 2 Brook’s Lyndarlea Brown Bear. V baby chocolate lacking in coat at present, excellent bone and feminine head, good length of ribbing, would like to see her when more mature; 3 Mitchell’s Merumist Dawn Treader.
P (9). A super puppy b class. I’m sure the first 4 will change places many times. 1 Collin’s Ambermist Midnight Diamond. B/t with super outline both standing and moving, the best of front and hind angulation, would not change anything at this stage, must have a v bright future, won BPIB on her maturity and challenged well to gain the RCC; 2 Blackshaw’s Minard She’s A Peach at Ravenways. Glamorous clear red, not as mature as the winner but all of a piece so well balanced both stacked and on the move; 3 Mack’s Topgem Louisa May.
J (7). Another good quality class headed by two shaded reds, although of different types. 1 Thomas’s Shenaleigh Sweet Dreams. Slightly longer than the 2, super quarters, the most feminine of heads, well laid shoulders, good length and spring of ribbing; 2 Melton’s Chelane Reach For The Stars. Stylish b, another so v feminine and holding a good outline at all times, lovely coat and furnishings; 3 Turner’s Dacatec Dram On Baby to Rafthouse.
PG (8). 1 Duchesne’s Scandell’s Ring Of Dreams. Lovely clear red girl, rather shorter in neck than I prefer but holding a lovely outline on the move, good fore quarters and length and spring of ribbing, well balanced all through; 2 Mee’s Barlaines Country Charmer. Smaller type b/t not having the bone of 1, feminine head, prominent fore chest, well laid shoulders and good hind angulation; 3 Johnson’s Charpurdy New Dawn.
L (9). 1 Shutt’s Donnadoon Passion Flower at Rhinestar. First of two lovely b/t girls, v smart all through, just my size with good substance, excellent fore quarters and well let down behind, smartly handled and just eating up the ground as she moved around the ring; 2 McLachlan’s Gayvilles Specially For You. A glamorous b/t for whom similar remarks apply, splitting hairs here but the 1 winning on her driving movement; 3 Thomas’s Shenaligh Sweet Symphony.
O (7). Headed by
two b/t’s v similar in type. 1 Angear’s Ridgegrove Eclipse, Certainly eclipsed
the opposition here, mature with super bone, holding a classical outline both
stacked and on the move, the best conformation all through, expertly handled to
win the BCC; 2 Geeson’s Bronia Fleur De Lys at Abydachs. Another so well handled
to show off her lovely attributes. Not quite the layback of shoulder as 1, but
another so feminine and with such an eye catching outline, must be destined for
top honours soon; 3 Boyle’s Ch Zarcrest Ace Of Diamonds.
