PD. (5). 1. Breese’s, Silkdown on Parade. Deep clear red baby at his first show. Full of promise. Not very keen on his head but after that nothing I would change. Lovely to go over. Well boned and thick padded feet. So well constructed. Well angled front and rear enabling him to move so well. Promise of a good flat coat. 2. Cooper’s, Jumandas Hot Chocolate. When the class assembled I thought he could be my winner. Lovely head, neck and outline. Very mature and looks the part. Again good to go over and a quality one. Coat needs some attention and moving wide behind. Needs a little more style and deportment on the move. 3. Hall’s, Cliffmere Quantas.

JD. (4). 1. Croxford’s, Sandwell’s, Cardinal at Arbroath. Lovely headed clear red. Good shoulders and front assembly. Little more neck would enhance his outline. Beautiful coat and condition. Sound on the move. Just a little proud of his tail and could be a more enthusiastic showman. 2. Breese’s, Silkdown Make it So. Presents a very nice picture stacked. Lovely neck and very good bone and feet. Balanced outline and a gleaming red flat coat. On the move sound enough but a little bum high spoils outline going round. 3. Brooks’, Lyndarlea Bounty Boy.

ND. (2). 1. Brooks’, Lyndarlea Digby Boy. Very pretty headed shaded cream with beautiful pigmentation. Nice to go over. Lovely coat in gleaming condition. Very stylish on the move. Sound behind but just a touch narrow in front. 2. Shackelton’s, Edmay Rustle of Spring. Loved the head on this dog and he has beautiful shoulders and correct upper arm, so seldom seen. His presentation left a lot to be desired.

PGD. (3). 1. Gayvilles’, Northern Defender. Eye catching b/t, flowing lines. Lovely neck, shoulders and front. So well ribbed. Strong short hocks enabled him to just floar round the ring. Ultra sound mover. Coat was so well presented, flat and gleaming. Lovely to go over. I found his head a little plain but the rest of him is first class. RCC. 2. Cooper’s, Gayvilles Northern Lad at Jumanda. Another b/t with a better head and eye than winner, but could not match his shoulders. Good topline, very good coat and condition and striking markings. On the move he is good in front but goes a little wide behind. 3. Heiser’s, Polinard Dalemaine.

LD. (6). 1. Dutson’s, Rossglen Rosso Di Cadore. Just loved this b/t brindle. Small yet masculine. Super bone and thick padded feet. Very well made and so beautifully balanced. Beautiful head and the darkest eyes imaginable. Shown in full coat and condition. Very sound and very showy. His day will come. 2. Boyle’s, Zarcrest Gold Dictator. Very masculine clear red. Super coat well conditioned. Didn’t care for his head and not the quarters on hocks of the winner. Strong topline held on the move. Needs much more body. 3. Mee’s, Barlaines Crusader.

OD. (5). 1. Jamieson’s, Airwaves to Carlang via Dejeata. Quality b/t in immaculate condition. In the past I have critisised this exhibitor for lack of presentation on her dogs. Not so on the day. He looked lovely, quality masculine head, lovely eye. Super neck and front. Good feet. Super body, firm topline. So very sound in every way. In full coat. Moved and showed to advantage and won his second CC. 2. Croxford’s, Ch. Arbroath Mr Mackinnon JW. Very promising sh/r lovely head but could use a little more neck. Masculine in outline with decent bone and feet but would like darker nails. Very good hindquarters and shown in lovely coat. Looked decidedly bored with the whole proceedings. 3. Wallace’s, Mullion Kuda Thila at Cheslan.

PB. (9). 1. Worswick’s, Dolyharp Gypsy Song. I though this clear red outstanding in this class being so forward in body and coat. Shown in gleaming condition. Lovely head with excellent pigment. Pleasing to go over on the table. Little bit bummy at present and hindquarters could be stronger but she looked the part stacked. 2. Mee’s, Barlaines Charlotte. Gorgeous little b/t, just 6 months old and very much the baby. Very pretty head and eye. Small, yet with lovely bone and thick padded feet. Jet black and rich tan. Exceptionally well made and has a lovely outline. Very happy and a bit proud of her tail. One to watch though. 3. Phillip’s, Rossdach Stairway to Heaven.

JB. (6). 1. Sidgwick’s, Rafthouse Eye Explosive at Paulian. Very nice type b/t shown in gleaming condition. Good neck and outline. Good bone and feet, topline is strong but tends to run up a touch as she could be just a little better let down in hock. Sound going and coming and shows herself well. 2. Worswick’s, Dolyharp Ode to Joy. Lovely head and dark eye on this cream. Well pigmented on the face but nails are very light. Very pleasing to go over. Shown in full glamorous coat and so well presented. Sound on the move but a little proud of her tail. 3. Charnley’s, Northnook Mystique Maid. Kennedy’s, Denkenas Lady Bear. Quality b/t, very pleasing head and eye. Lovely neck, topline and outline. Super bone and feet. So very sound on the move. A pleasing Dachshund who should do well. Surprised to see her in this class.

PGB. (10). 1. Boyle’s, Zarcrest Black Magic. 11 months old b/t. Stood out in this class for maturity and presentation. Would like a more feminine head and a little more neck, after that nothing to alter. Lovely bone and feet, very sound going and coming. Firm topline. Lovely front, excellent quarters. She has ‘attitude’ which won her BP. 2. Stagg’s, Maid of Galloway. Very pretty headed b/t, lovely colour and markings. Shown in good condition but could not match the presentation of winner. Very pleasing in type. Firm level topline. Nice to go over and a very sound one. 3. Graham’s, Jadag Fornton’s Continental.

LB. (9). 1. Mee’s, Barlaines Country Charmer. Lots of substance in a small elegant package. Lovely bone with thick padded feet. This b/t was in gleaming condition with a well textured flat coat. Very good front, good ribs and topline super. Sound on the move. A very good Dachshund in Miniature. 2. Shutt’s, Donnadoon Passion Flower at Rhinestar. B/cream built on flowing lines. Very well pigmented. Would ust like eyes a touch darker. Lovely neck and shoulders. Good front, firm topline. Lovely flat coat and a sound mover. 3. Stagg’s, Mertynabbot Monique.

OB. (13). 1. Brown’s, Ch. Northnook Ellie May at Garbosa. My BP and Midland Counties and has fulfilled all my expectations. High quality choc/t, lovely head, eye and ears. Construction could not be bettered. Lovely bone and feet. Strong pigment. Very fit and active. Just flowed round the ring soundly and effortlessly. Shown in good coat and presented to the minute. CC and BOB. 2. Gayvilles’, Double Take. Just prefer a more feminine head on this gorgeous b/t, but the rest of her is about as good as you could ask for. Like her kennel mate, built on the same flowing lines. Good neck, super ribbing and topline. Sound front and rear. Excellent bone and feet. Looked a picture on the move. Beautifully turned out. RCC. 3. Normand’s, Melicent Molly.
