It was a great honour to judge at Crufts, While there has been an improvement in hind movement we still have tummy tapping with us. I thought round eyes were on the increase as was short ribbing. Needless to say I found many good exhibitors and not enough cards to go round.
SpPD. (8). 1. Illidge’s, Paradachs Dream Come True. Shaded red. Good forechest well placed shoulder, good ribbing. Free moving keeping a level topline. BP. 2. Folke’s, Diquest Really Red. Nicely balanced, good head and neck into good shoulder. Well ribbed. Moved freely round the ring. 3. Robert’s, Denver Musketeer. Good head, forechest and ribbing. Nice feet. Would like a firmer angulation and movement.
SpJD. (7). 1. Brook’s, Lyndarlea Digby Boy. Cream, good forechest, length of ribbing. Well laid shoulders, good angulation, level on the move. 2. Angear’s, Ridgegrove Cuddley Dudley. B/tan in lovely condition. Well balanced, good head and neck, good shoulders well laid back. Used his hindquarters to move freely around the ring. 3. Norton’s, Halunke Mister Baggins. Well balanced red. Good shoulders and ribbing. Moved with drive.
SYD. (10). 1. Watkin’s, Melvalley Midnight Star. B/tan. Very good ribbing, good forechest. Well placed shoulders. Used his well angulated quarters to move freely with level topline. 2. Lockett’s, Ralines Dumbledore. Lovely head and neck into well placed shoulders. Good ribbing, nicely angulated quarters. Free moving, good topline. Close up to first. 3. Rees’s, Harvey River of Yumares. Nice cream. Good head and shoulders, ribbing well back. Good angulation, outline level on the move.
PGD. (15). 1. Phillip’s, Rossglen Reach for the Sky. B/tan. Good neck into shoulder placement. Nice level backline, well ribbed. Nice angulation. Moved freely around the ring. 2. Dutson’s, Rossglen Rosso Di Cadore. Balanced b/tan. Good head and neck, well let down shoulders. Good depth and outline. Moved well. 3. Farmer’s, Jenwood Fields of Gold. Good outline and balance. Good forequarters and ribbing. Hindquarters well angulated used to stride round the ring.
LD. (20). 1. Welton’s, Chelane King of the Castle. Shaded red with lovely balance. Good head, neck flowing into laid back shoulders. Nicely rounded ribbing, good quarters. Moving freely with level topline. RCC. 2. Young’s, Willowheath Del Boy. Masculine headed b/tan. Good forechest and shoulders. Rounded ribcage. Used his quarters to move very freely keeping a level topline. 3. Illidge’s, Paradachs Dream Machine. Nice headed shaded red. Good forechest. Not such good ribbing. Well angulated. Moved well.
OD. (21). 1. Lockett’s, Ch. Ralines Royal Statesman. Good head and neck into well placed shoulders. Good round ribbing with good length. Lovely outline. Moved freely around the ring. CC. 2. Jamieson’s, Airwaves to Carlang via Djeata. Quality b/tan with good head, well rounded and length of ribcage. Good hind angulation used to freely move with level topline. 3. Coxford’s, Ch. Arbroath Mr Mackinnon. Lovely headed red. Good shoulders and ribbing. Well let down quarters. Good feet. Moved very well. Would like a little more neck.
SpVD. (4). It was good to see the veterans enjoying a day out and looking so good. 1. Duchesne’s, Scandell Talking Pages. B/tan 9 years old with good ribbing and head. Well let down quarters. Moved with verve round the ring. 2. Wallace’s, Minard Mandarin at Cheslan. Very good coated red of 10 years. Nice head and ribcage and quarters. Moving very well. 3. Cooper’s, Jumandas Murphys. B/tan still looking good at 8 years and moving freely with balanced topline.
SpPB. (12). 1. Robert’s, Denvers Babycham. Lovely headed red. Good shoulders and ribbing good angulated quarters. Movement free and level. 2. Crawley’s, Doujac Duette. Quality headed b/tan. Nice front, well ribbed, good quarters. Free mover, keeping level topline. 3. Worswick’s, Dolyharp Ode to Joy. Cream sweet head, good body properties. Well angulated quarters. Moved freely.
SpJB. (15). 1. McLean’s, Maxwin. Lady Madonna. Very feminine headed red. Good forechest. Well rounded ribbing, good shoulders. Nicely angulated quarters. Well balanced on the move. 2. Wallace’s, Cheslan Reeth Rah. Good shaped head, good front, neck and shoulders. Nicely ribbed well angulated quarters. Moved freely. 3. Banting’s, Inicott Moonglow. Lovely headed red. Good body construction. Well angulated quarters with positive movement.
SYB. (15). 1. Mack and Dunn’s, Topgem Louisa May. Very good feminine head. Good placed shoulders. Good rounded ribcage. Nicely angulated quarters. Moving well covering the ground. 2. Long’s, Poleta Daisy Petals with Joala. Sweet cream. Good head and body construction. Nice feet, well let down quarters. Moving well. 3. Thomas’s, Shenaligh Sweet Dreams. Red, feminine head. Good forechest, well ribbed body. Nice balanced outline. Moving freely.
PGB. (19). 1. Goddard’s, Minard’s, Krystal Darque. A b/tan in super condition. Good head, very good forechest and feet. Ribbing rounded and long strong quarters, well used on the move. Lovely balanced outline at all times. Her construction and movement won the day. CC and BOB. 2. Poole’s, Findowrie Christmas Rose. Lovely headed shaded cream. Well off for bone. Good front, nice rounded ribbing. Well angulated quarters. Moved freely keeping a good outline. Hsard luck to meet the first. 3. Duchesne’s, Scandells Ring of Dreams. Well balanced red. Good forechest, spring of ribbing. Firm hindquarters. Moved well keeping a good outline.
LB. (24). 1. Butler’s, Drymoor Secret Delight. Very pretty shaded cream. Nice head and neck into well laid shoulders. Good forechest, good length of ribcage. Strong quarters. Balanced outline, level topline. Free moving. RCC. 2. Poole’s, Findowrie Society Miss. Another good red exhibit. Good head, forechest, nice rounded ribbing. Good quarters. Moving very freely around the ring. Good topline. 3. Duchesne’s, High Society at Scandell. Choc. Dapple, lovely head nice neck into good shoulder layback. Ribbing well back and rounded. Strong quarters used to move freely.
OB. (13). 1. Hall’s, Cliffmere Klassic. Balanced red with sweet head, good shoulder, forechest, nice rounded ribbing. Good rear angulation. Lovely outline. Moved very freely round the ring. 2 Collins’ Abermist Crepe Suzette. Very feminine head, good front and shoulder, well ribbed, Good hind angulation, freely moving round the ring with a level topline. 3 Brown’s Ch Northnook Ellie May of Garbosa. Lovely headed chocolate. Very good front, ribbing and quarters. I have admired this bitch from the ringside, but on the day was not putting all in. I queried her hind movement.

Maxwin Ice in the Sun. Shaded red of nearly 9 years. Still beautiful in head,
good ribbing and quarters. Moving freely round the ring, lovely outline. 3
Sainsbury’s Ridgegrove Lady Luck at Boscolla. Another great girl of 8 years
enjoying her day out. Lovely head, good body, moving very well. It was lovely to
see these ‘girls’ still in their prime, just put the icing on the cake for my
day.
