VHC GAYVILLES DOUBLE TAKE (MR D & MRS J HALL)
A good entry with only one absentee. Many lacked any muscle condition, even 20 minutes roadwork would make such a difference. Also some males were shown far too thin. Overall, I thought the quality better than when I last judged.
PD (9) 1 Allan and Dicks’ Bereky Chervil to Auchans. Nice sized b/t, well covered. Sweet head and expression. Tidy front, strong topline. Scored here on thrust behind. 2 Hanney’s Bronia Star of Oz. Most attractive puppy. Lovely profile standing and moving. Very heavy coated and in excellent condition. 3 Brooks’, Lyndaria Creme de Menth.
JD. (4). 1. Robert’s, Denvers Musketeer. Very smart b/t. Lovely head, neck and front. Good outline at all times. Has width and strength behind. 2. Allan and Dicks’ Bereky Chervil to Auchans. 3. Croxford’s Sandwells Cardinal at Arbroath.
PGD. (5). 1. Rees’s, Harvey River of Yumaris. Lovely cream with real black nose. Strong topline. Free effortless mover. Shown in excellent condition. Scored here on his good legs and feet. 2. Brooks’, Rhinestar Phoenix at Lyndarlea. Most elegant with gleaming shaded red coat and dark pigmentation. Good length and kept his lovely lines standing and moving. 3. Heiser’s, Polinard Dalemine.
LD. (3). 1. Robert’s, Denver Jack Frost. RCC. Stunning cream. Lovely head and neck. Strong top and underline. Really powerful quarters. Moved with verve. Scored here on his tidy front. He put up a strong challenge for the CC with his enthusiasm on the move. He never puts a foot wrong. 2. Brooks’, Maundowne Mutineer at Lyndarlea. Lovely head and neck. Strong topline which he kept at all times. Beautiful coat and condition. Nice free mover. 3. Halsalls’, Kiddles Worthinton.
OD. (6). 1. Hall’s, Gayvilles Northern Classic. CC. A joy to go over on the table with everything where it should be. He moves so soundly and covers the ground although at times lacked enthusiasm. Good length. In the challenge he eventually scored on coat texture. Delighted to hear his third CC. A very worthy champion. 2. Croxford’s, Ch. Arbroath Mr Mackinnon. Such a well made dog of lovely size. Shown in hard condition with gleaming coat. He is so well made with the best of fronts. Moves freely and truly at all times. 3. Strachans’, Bronia Fusiler of Calderpark.
PB. (4). 1. Geeson’s, Abydachs Aphrodisiac. BP. Sweet b/t. Lovely head and expression. Super front, strong topline. The only one who had mastered moving on grass. 2. Kennedys’, Denkena’s Bumble Fly. Most elegant and really lovely to go over on the table. Once she masters the art of showing should do well. On the odd time I caught her moving she was true and covered the ground. 3. Rees’s, Yumares Kelly Mae.
JB. (5). 1. Roberts’, Denvers Babycham. RCC. Stunning is the only word that comes to mind. Lovely head and neck going into well laid shoulders. Good legs and feet. She is so well muscled and in great condition overall. Keeps her lovely lines at all times. 2. Kennedy’s, Denkena Lady Bear. Have judged before and liked. She is so elegant. Again excellent front, nice legs and feet. She is so well balanced and keeps her lovely lines at all times. Moves freely and truly. 3. Halsalls’, Cishelvine Petete Coquette for Kiddles.
PGB. (8). 1. Heiser’s, Polinard Winning Ways. Little to chose between the first three. Neat cream, lovely free mover. Well made, nice legs and feet. Sweet head and expression with dark nose pigmentation. Good strong coat. Scored here on her length. 2. Leggett’s, Diquest Sahna at Lyndarlea. Again another free mover. Lovely head, excellent front and very strong topline. 3. Shutts’, Jadag Kadby Rose of Donnadoon.
LB. (6). 1. Goddard’s, Minard Krystal Darque. Without a doubt the glamour girl of the day. Shown in excellent muscular condition with a gleaming coat. An object lesson on how to present a Longhaired Dachshund. She is also a very good Dachshund! Lovely outline she keeps at all times. Excellent front. Nice free mover. Strong contender for RCC. Scored on neck here. 2. Cooper’s, Jumandas Rosie. Such a nice honest bitch. She may lack the glamour but is equally well made. She moves soundly and covers the ground keeping her nice lines at all times. 3. Coxford’s, Arbroath Lady of Skye.
OB. (6). 1.
Brown’s, Ch. Northnook Ellie May at Garbosa. CC and BOB. Everything I look for.
She has class but equally she has strength and power on the move. Her front is
textbook as is her top and underline and quarters. So well balanced. Most of all
I loved her arrogant expression, she certainly thinks she is superior to the
rest and so did I! Best Min. Long I have judged for some years. 2. Marrison’s,
Sonrimar Better by Far. Smart cream. Lovely head and again excellent front with
plenty of forechest. Another fabulous mover. 3. Lambs’, Howrigg Tar Baby.
