PAIGNTON 2004 NO CC'S Dachshund (Miniature Long Haired) Judge: Mrs A Jeffery

MINIATURE LONGHAIRED
PGD. (1). 1. Le Page’s, Willowheath Tattered Dreams de Thelepees. Red who was very unsettled on the table due to a bad experience with a heavy handed judge and I could not go over him but he did show some very nice points when moving. I hope he recovers his confidence. RBD.
OD. (1). Le Page’s, Rafthouse Hot Dream avec Thelepees. B/t. Good head and front, well off for neck. Correct mouth. Would have preferred a better length of ribbing. He tended to cut up a little on the day. BD.
PB. (1). 1. Young’s, Willowheath Silver Angel. 11 months old dapple, stood alone but a worthy winner. Long, low and level with a super Dachshund head. Well angulated both ends. A quality puppy from this kennel. BP.
JB. (3). 1. Richardson’s, Sirrondach Ebony Macadamia. B/t bitch I have admired since a puppy. Correct head, neck and shoulder angulation. Presented a lovely outline on the move. Used her hindquarters well. Shown in immaculate condition. Pushed hard for RBB. 2. Burge and Rossiter’s, Barok Bellerania of Crekpit. Red with similar attributes to winner, but I preferred Macadamia’s overall balance. 3. Garman’s, Zadophie Cream Sensation.
PGB. (7). 1. Davis’s, Corrinbar Blue Angel. Silver dapple and just teeming with quality. Good angulations and length of ribbing. Nice size. I just wish she was a little bolder. However I had no hesitation in making her BB and BOB and in the big ring she most certainly seemed to have more confidence. I noticed from my records that I gave her dam a BOB last year in Staffordshire. 2. Richardson’s, Ebony Pistachio. Litter sister to Junior bitch class winner. Another quality bitch from this kennel but she tended to arch her topline a little on the day on the move. 3. Burge and Rossiter’s, Barok Bellerania of Crekpit.
OB. (6). 1. Clarke’s, Maundowne Madame Phoebe at Dormosa. At nearly 9 years old this bitch is a credit to her owner and you have to go over her to appreciate her good construction. Good head and lay of shoulder. Well off for ribbing. She moves freely but lacks head carriage. I just wish she was a little more enthusiastic, but at her age she can be forgiven. Could not deny her RBB. 2. Young’s, Willowheath Hot Gem. B/t of nice size. Sound movement. Well shown. 3. Richardson’s, Sirrondach Crystal Almond.
