MINIATURE LONG HAIRED
Many thanks to the exhibitors for a good entry without CCs. I had some lovely exhibits to go over and was pleased with the overall quality. All exhibits were presented clean and tidy. Mouths were good without exception and only one male bumped the scales. Fronts on the while were not good and many needed much better muscled tone. I hope you all realised I was looking for a sound free moving dog that could keep the correct Dachshund outline at all times. This was hard to find and many exhibits who looked lovely stacked failed in this department on the move. My principal winners pleased me greatly and it was an honour to have the pleasure of judging them.
PD. (1). 1. Leggett’s, Mardachrob Milky Bar Kid in Sonsrymes. 7 months old shaded cream. Good head with pleasing expression. Parallel coming and going with level topline. Shoulders and upper arm could have been better and needs time to drop into himself and grow some coat.
JD. (1). 1. Thomas’s, Shenaligh Sweet Tiger. Shaded red. Nicely coated dog. Beautiful head and expression. Good length of neck flowing into level topline. Correctly angulated quarters used well on the move. Front could be better.
PGD. (5). 1. Cawley and King’s, Fizzy Flyer for Summerview. Cream brindle dog I have judged before. Has developed into a very elegant and balanced little dog. Profuse coat which was presented to perfection. Looked very smart going round. True coming and going. Good to go over with straight front and well angulated rear. Would just like more of him and a touch more masculinity. RBD. 2. Earley’s, Yelva Prince Charming. B.t dog of good proportions. Good head and neck, front could be better. Level topline. Good hind angulation which he used well on the move. Coat a touch woolly. 3. Coxford’s, Arbroath Mr Macsporran.
LD. (3). 1. Graver’s, Melvalley Midnight Star. B/t dog of good type. LOvely to go over. Good coat presented well. Marking on his head make him look coarse but on closer examination he isn’t. Moved with drive but not holding his topline as well as I have seen. 2. Le Page’s, Rafthouse Hot Dream avec Thelepees. 3 years old b/t dog. Would like more width throughout. Attractive head, good neck. Level topline held well on the move. Used his good quarters to drive well from behind. Coat not his fortune. 3. Broad’s, Jenwood Ring of Bells.
OD. (2). 1. Watkin’s, Bodornis Pinball Wizzard. Pale red dog in lovely condition. Lovely type with good head and kind expression. Long, low and level. Correct size without the need for him to be skinny to be under 11lbs. Good lay of shoulder but front could be straighter, super quarters. Used really well to power round the ring. Looked a picture at all times. BD.
PB. (2). 1. Harvey’s, Sonsrymes Celabration. 6 months old silver dapple with lovely markings. Very pretty bitch who showed well. Sound to go over. Level topline both stacked and on the move. Good coat for age. BP. 2. McCarthy’s, Joala Klear Kristal. 11 months old immature bitch. Taller type who really needs her coat. Moved with drive.
JB. (4). 1. Wallace’s, Cheslan Makunu Rah. 12 months old b/cr bitch who is simply stunning. Never stopped showing all day. Fabulous to go over. Correct in every department. Beautiful head, excellent front with good shoulders. Level topline held at all times. Good quarters with plenty of muscle which she used to great advantage. Just flowed round the ring and had that touch of something special that makes her impossible to overlook. A real show girl I would love to won. BB and BOB. 2. Burge and Rossiter’s, Barok Bellerania of Creekpit. 15 months old pretty red bitch unlucky to meet winner in such good front. Good to go over but would like more second thigh. Level topline held at all times. Moved round the ring really well. Presented and handled to perfection. 3. McGlashan’s, Shenaligh Sweet Moment at Macawdrie.
PGB. (7). 1. Burge and Rossiter’s, Barok Bellerania of Creekpit. 2. Elworthy’s, Jamiespring Desert Sunset. Shaded red bitch. Very pretty head. Level topline held well on the move. Good quarters. Not as good in front as winner. 3. Le Page’s, Thelepees Miraculace Shock.
LB. (2). 1. Croxford’s, Arbroath Lady Hannah. Shaded red pretty bitch. Good front. Moved well with parallel action. Needs more confidence.
OB. (5). 1. Goddard’s, Ch. Minard Krystal Darque. B/t bitch I have judged before and who has matured into a most beautiful bitch. Excellent to go over. Elegant head and expression. Well angulated front with good lay of shoulder and prominent prosternum. Level topline held at all times. Nicely angulated quarters. Beautifully presented and completely at one with handler in class. Initially I though she would be my Best of Breed, unfortunately completely out moved in the challenge when she lacked her usual sparkle. Such a shame because if she had been on form I could not have overlooked her. RBB. 2. Wallace’s, Cheslan Reethi Rah. B.t bitch, similar to winner in many respects. Lovely to go over and in beautiful condition. Beautiful head and front. Good width throughout. Excellent hind quarters. Just poking slightly on the move. A lovely exhibit. 3. Elworthy’s, Jamiespring Desert Song.
