MINIATURE LONG HAIRED
My overall impression of the breed is one of disappointment, fronts are still a major problem and there is no depth of quality. The CC and RCC winners stood out by some considerable distance from the rest. Unfortunately wet, cold and windy conditions do not favour best performances and I am sure many exhibits did not show of their best. That said the BOB put in an excellent performance and showed her head off. So pleased to see her go RBIS. I apologise for the brevity of the notes, but the rain made it hard to write any legible notes.
PD. (3). 1. Colley and Buchan’s, Stainesacre the Riddler. B/t of excellent type. Good chunky bone. Neat elbows. Loved his head, body of good length. Kept level topline on the move. Still needing to mature and develop in width of body. BP. 2. Brooks’, Maundowne Milo at Lyndarlea. B/t. Not happy with conditions and losing his topline on the move. I am sure that in better conditions he will put on a better performance.
JD. (4). 1. Worswick’s, Dolyharp Don Basilio. Top quality cream with lovely dark pigmentation. Excelled in all departments. Good front with width. Chunky bone. Well padded feet. Excelled in length and ribbing. Excellent angulation front and rear and in excellent condition. Put on polished performance to gain his well deserved third CC. Well done. 2. King’s, Kingsdax Regal Knight. Smaller chunky red. Very pleasing. Not the length of winner, of top quality and should do well. 3. Brooks’, Lyndarlea Earth Tremor.
PGD. (5). 1. Illidge’s, Paradachs Murphy Moonshine. B/t. Appealed in head. Good body length. Flowed around the ring keeping topline. 2. Brooks’, Lyndarlea Choc Ice. Chocolate and tan. Another with good length. Did not have the width of body of winner. 3. Jamieson’s, Djeata Millennium Now.
LD. (5). 1. Brooks’, Dark knight Black Magic at Lyndarles. B/cr. Chunky and neat. Had the better front of the three. Good bone and width to body. 2. Brown’s, Jympens Houdini at Garbosa JW. Attractive brindle that went well, but front did not match the winner. 3. Johnson’s, Charpurdy Sir Lancelot.
OD. (5). 1. Buchan and Colley’s, Ebony Night Runner at Helenium. B/t of excellent type. Had best outline in the class. Very masculine with good bone. Kept topline on the move. Flat silky coat. Pleased to award him the RCC. 2. Jamieson’s, Djeata Riven Within the Ring. B/t. Another chunky exhibit. Excelled in bone and topline. Preferred the front of winner. 3. Allan and Dick’s, Berekyah Chervil to Auchans.
PB. (5). Disappointing class. 1. McNaughton’s, Bronia Miss Rabanne. B/t of pleasing type. Still very immature but looks promising. Had the edge in front construction and gave her the benifit of the doubt in her performance in the wet grass. There were glimpses of sound movement. 2. Scott’s, Wolferlow Moonlight Waltz. B/t of lovely shape. Long low and level. Was not sure of her rear action in these conditions. 3. Brooks’, Diquest Ebonie at Lyndarlea.
JB. (9). 1. Mee’s, Barlaines Amber Star. Very apprealing red of lovely type. Well off for bone and with good width through the front assembly. Moved out ok but needs to show with a bit more verve. 2. Charnley’s, Northnook Cinnamon. Chocolate and tan. Another attractive exhibit with good length. 3. Kennedy’s, Zarcrest Gold Lace at Denkena.
PGB. (6). Very disappointing class. 1. Kennedy’s, Denkena Maggie May. Pleasing shaded red. Attractive head, pleased all round and strode out well in the poor ground conditions. Easy winner. 2. Johnson’s, Charpurdy’s Star Turn. Smaller light red. Sweet head and kept her shape on the move. 3. Heiser’s, Polinard Winning Weighs.
LB. (10). 1. Crawley’s, Doujac Duette. B/t. Long low and level. Pleasing type and plenty of length. Flat silky jacket. Moved out well. 2. Scott’s, Dolyharp Choir Giral at Wolferlow. Smaller chunky chocolate and tan with good bone and width. Moved well but tail carriage spoilt outline on the move. 3. Johnson’s, Halunke Miss Angelica at Charpurdy.
OB. (8). 1. Goddard’s, Ch. Minard Krystal Darque. B/t of good exquisite type. Real star. Lovely head and expression. Ideal construction. Lovely bone and feet. Silky flat jacket. Came into her own on the move. Simply flowed around the ring keeping a lovely outline. CC and BOB and RBIS. 2. Brown’s, Ch/Ir Ch. Northnook Ellie May at Garbosa. Chocolate and tan. Close up. Another top quality exhibit. Streets ahead of the rest. Excellent in front, bone, ribbing, preferred the sharper outline and verve of the winner. RCC. 3. Jamieson’s, Bitw Bally Hoo to Djeata.
