Thank you to the Committee for inviting me to judge at this well run show and thanks to my two able stewards. I must say I was astonished to find so many exhibits with short ribbing and the other prevalent fault was the appalling ‘tummy tapping’ in so many. Don’t people look at their dog’s hind action? Good movers were in the minority unfortunately. However my main winners pleased very much. MPD [6] [3AB] 1. Richardson’s Sirrondach Huggy Bear Well grown S/D, long and low, nice head, shoulders good, front OK. Would like more length and spring of rib. Moved well. 2. Marka-Novaj’s Wolferlow Works Wonders for Shemby Liked this little Chocolate, but was far too thin on the day. Needs to body up. Not big so can do it. Nice head, good front and feet, well-angulated quarters. Ribbing could be longer. Moved well. 3. Broad’s Lyndarlea One of the Boys PD [5][2A] 1. Worswick’s Dolyharp April Evening ‘Typey’ Red, long and low, masculine head, good front, well laid shoulder, tight feet, long ribbing, excellent topline, well-turned stifle, short hocks. Moved very well to take B.P. and B.P.I.S. congratulations. B.P.D. & B.P.I.S. 2. Oxley’s Dinkeydax Tidal Wave Smaller exhibit, liked his size. Good in head, shoulder and front. Feet good. Not as long in body as 1. Moved ok. 3. Davies’ Corrinbar Blue Moon JD [6] [1AB] 1. Welton’s Chelane Casper Carrot I looked for type, soundness and construction, and I found them in this lovely 17mnth Red. Good head, ample length of neck into excellent shoulder placement, the best of feet, well sprung, long ribcage, short hocks, rear angulation correct. The best mover of the day; looked great in the big ring. DOG C.C. & B.O.B. 2. Boyle’s Polinard Mill of Fortune for Zarcrest Liked this dog a lot; good head, front, depth, shoulder and ribbing. Wouldn’t think any problem with weight here. Rear end good. Moved well. Not the body length of 1. 3. Oxley’s Wildhatch Cropston Boy of Dinkidax PGD [6] 1. Brooks’ Lyndarlea Piper Kris Well balanced 2yr Cream. Good head, deep front, tight feet, shoulder layback correct. Level topline, nice coat, pigment dark. Moved well. 2. Butler’s Maundowne Momentum This dog is long and low and elegant. Would prefer more front and better movement. 3. Jamieson’s Djeata Milennium Now LD [6] 1. Angear’s Ridgegrove Alphie Moon Well balanced 2yr B/T, supercoated, most excellent, firm, deep front- no loose elbows here, lovely feet, rear end well angulated. Moved actively to take R.D.C.C. 2. Poole’s Findowrie Man About Town. Liked this Red for his good construction throughout. Moved well. Unlucky to meet 1. 3. Brooks’ Lyndarlea Earth Tremor OD [10] A nightmare to sort out 3 lovely champions. 1. Worswick’s Ch Dolyharp Don Basilio The 3 L’s could describe this lovely Cream; super head and eye, deep front, best of feet, shoulders and quarters. Well angulated, level topline. Best mover in this class. 2. Turner’s Ch Rafthouse Eye Jinks Another worthy champion. Loved his long balanced body. Correct front assembly, good feet, shoulders and quarters. To crown all looked in sparkling condition with his luxuriant correct coat. Moved well. 3. Roberts’ Ch Denver Jack Frost MPB [6] 1. Thomas’ Shenaligh Teasel Mature for her age, B/T of 7mnths. Typical head, deep front, good feet, nice shoulder angles, long ribbed, rear angulation correct. Bit all over the place in movement till she settled, but so young – forgave her. B.P.B.2. Brooks’ Lyndarlea Lacey It was hard to sort out these 2 puppies; Lacey not as well off for bone, but otherwise same remarks apply. Moved well. 3. Palin’s Gigi PB [5] 1. Angear’s Ridgegrove Blue Berry B/T of 10mnths. This one has got it altogether, so sound and compact. Again from this breeder; the perfect front construction, no looseness, also correct hind angulation and movement. Would just like a touch more bodylength, but has time. 2. Elsworthy’s Jamiespring Desert Flower Loved this SH Cream. She’s all of a piece, with sweet head. Shoulders sloping and front good, nice feet, topline level, well angulated quarters, short hocks. Would like to see her move with more verve. 3. Blackshaw’s Ravenways Give Me Time JB [11][1AB] 1. Angear’s Ridgegrove Halle Berry This owner’s dogs all look out of the same mould; again the super front construction, with head, shoulders, feet, topline, ribbing and rear ends so good. This one her time will come. 2. Paterson’s Danielle Masters Last Stand. Smart little S/D, she has a good head, deep oval front, well angulated shoulders and quarters. Moved very well. 3. Young’s Willowheath Cheeky Girl PGB [16][2AB] 1. Butler’s Maundowne Momento to Maxwin 18mnth SH/Cr of quality; compact, well balanced, sound, lovely head and expression, well off for front into good shoulder, tight elbows and feet. Chunky, her quarters were well angulated, hocks were short, topline held on the move and she moved with ease to take this big class. 2. Cooper’s Garbosa Tilly The Tinker at Jumanda Liked this B/T a lot. Looked good, stacked and on the move with her breed type and correct construction throughout. 3. Holmes’ Tammera Touch of Elegance. LB [12][3AB] 1. Boyle’s Zarcrest Gold Legacy Light Red of 2yrs. Sound compact bitch with lovely head, good front, best of feet, excellent spring of rib, carried well back. Strong, well angulated rear, super coated. Moved so well. R.B.C.C. 2. Mitchel’s Bronia Serenity Plenty of bone and substance here, with this deep Red. Lovely head, good shoulders, front and feet, well turned stifle, short hocks. Active free mover; would like to see her when her coat is more profuse. 3. Youngs’ Willowheath Silver Angel OB [7][2AB] 1. Roberts’ Ch. Denver’s Babycham. A super Bitch; had all I looked for with that little bit extra. She is sound all through. Lovely head, deep oval front, long, level topline into excellent hind quarters which she used to drive round the ring [this movement so lacking here today]. B.C.C. & B.O.S. 2. Blackshaw’s Minard She’s A Peach at Ravenways Loved this Red Bitch; she swept round the ring, with her soundness she could move so well, I found her correct in all departments. Unlucky today to meet Babycham who was a better body length, but I’m sure her day will come. 3. Geeson’s Abydachs Attitude JW
