MINIATURE LONGHAIRED:
Thankfully the weather was bright and sunny and judging could be done outside at this lovely venue! Type was varied and this variety still has problems with poor front construction. a lot of the males lacked the correct well developed front with poor shoulder angulation. This results in poor front action, a number of dogs were crossing their legs coming towards me, short keels are still prevalent and some over long loins which results in soft toplines. On the plus side temperaments were good and coats were clean and well presented. pigment needs watching as a number of exhibits had white nails! All the above reflected in my placings.
MPd (4) 1 Jamieson’s Zoflora Cocoa man to Djeata. Nice choc/tan clean shape shoulders better than most in this class. good ribbing into equal loin. compact little dog that moved well keeping a good topline. 2 Browns Devoncream dew n Thyme. rather a baby nice brindle cream rather loose in shoulders yet. 3 Weltons Chelane Masterclass.
Pd (1) 1 Kennedy’s Denkena Solar Flare. Promising Cream rather immature yet, but has the potential with time, moved well still loose in front, good length of ribbing and kept his outline on the move.
JD (4, 1) 1 Warren & Rowell’s Jadag Continental diplomat. Smart b/t with a nice front and good ribbing strong hind quarters which he used on the move, still immature, but with maturity should do well, flowed round the ring with good extention. 2 Kennedy’s Denkena Vinilla Moon. Another nice cream from this kennel, not as clean in front on the move, but has time on his side, well handled. 3 Shutts Donnadoon Diplomat.
PGd (1) 1 Oxleys Dinkidax Tidal wave. Neat little red, not the best shoulders, well sprung ribbing and moved out well.
LD (6) 1 Weltons Chelane Casper Carrot. Smart cream good shoulders, topline and underline in good coat, well handled to get the best from him, free flowing mover. 2 Breeze’s Silkdown on Parade Neat little red not the reach of neck or shoulders of winner. OB (7, 1) A super Class. 1 Goddards Ch Minard Krystal Darque Most of everything has been said about this bitch, and it was a pleasure to handle her, she is a superb show dog and as near the breed standard as is possible, my hands just flowed over her and to watch her move with such drive made my day! CC & BOB. 2 Turners Rafthouse Tallula lovely clear red with good front and shoulder lay, ribbing carried well back, just lacks the coat finish yet and unlucky to meet the winner.
