MINIATURE LONG HAIRED
I found the overall quality of the breed much improved since the last time I judged them, I did not find any over thin, and they were all within the weight limit. However, I did find the need for improvement in hind movement, as there were a number of exhibits which looked lovely standing and I thoight were my obvious winners, but who then lost out on the move, when viewed from the side they were tummy tapping and lacking in hind drive. I remember a well known judge (who is sadly no longer with us) saying many years ago 'If a dog is made right it will move right', and I agree. So this is something which can be worked on. MPD (1) 1 Brooks' Lyndarlea Fizical Atracts. Stood alone in this class. Smart little boy with a good head and eye. Coat coming in nicely with a good topline and underline. Moving well for a youngster. PD (5) 1 Beal's Chriskim Sun Screen at Kizbeal. Lots to like about this young red boy. Beautiful masculine head and dark eye. Good front with well placed shoulders running into ribbing of good length. In good coat and condition and he moved well. 2 Charnley's Northnook Rafferty. B/T of good balance. Lovely head and eye and a well angulated front and rear. Keeping a level topline at all times. 3 Vine's Cishelvine Lucky Draw. JD (5) 1 Brooke's Lyndarlea Pedro. B/C and loved the type of this one, so well put together and in good coat and condition. Super topline and underline, well angulated hindquarters with nice, short hocks. Moved true at all times. 2 Turner's Rafthouse Herr Flick. S/D, larger type than the winner. Masculine head and good bone and substance. Super front and shoulders, ribbing of good length. Just preferred the short hocks and movement of the winner. 3 Humes' Zoflora Cameron. PGD (7,3) 1 Oxley's Dinkidax Donney Rova. This b/t just stood out in this class. So well balanced with a super head, neck of good length running into well placed shoulders. Good length and depth of keel. Super hindquarters and looked a picture both standing and moving. Res CC. 2 Brown's Devon Cream Dew 'n' Thyme. C brindle and a good type. Well boned with a good length of rib and underline. Moved round the ring well, would have preferred a little more width in front to complete the picture. 3 Brook's Lyndarlea Silver Starlite. LD (8,2) My notes say what a super class. 1 Illidge's Paradachs Murphy Moonshine. This b/t I have judged before and is still looking well. Super head, lovely arched neck which runs into well placed shoulders. Excellent topline and underline, super angulation to hindquarters, which he used well on the move. 2 Brook's Lyndorlea Earth Tremor. Another b/t of great quality and very close up to the winner. Well balanced and nothing out of place here. Striding out really well and will no doubt change places on another day. 3 Warren and Rowell's Jadag Continental Diplomat. OD (10,4) 1 Brooks' Ch Lyndorlea Choc Ice. C/T and beautifully constructed, the type I like. Has the three Ls: long, low and level. In beautiful coat and condition. Super hindquarters which he used to advantage on the move. CC. 2 Jamieson's Ch Ir Ch Airwaves to Carlang via Djeata. This b/t is one I have always liked. Still looking well for his age at nearly 9. In full coat and super condition. The most super ear fringes framing an elegant and masculine head. 3 Worwick's Ch Dolyharp Don Basilo. MPB (6,1) 1 Jordon's Rodima Super Smart. There was a lot to like about this little cream. Very feminine head and expressive eye. Super make and shape, well covered body and should grow into something nice. Loved her super hindquarters and short hocks. Really moved round the ring with style, a little proud of her tail. 2 Carstensen's Burntbarn Blithe Spirit. Light gold and only 6 months old, everything in the right place. Sweet head and expression, moved out with confidence and is one to look out for. 3 Brown's Devon Cream Bouquet Shadow. PB (12,2) 1 Thomas' Shenaligh Sweet Shadow. Super little sr of very nice type. Well balanced and of nice proportions. Well covered body with super angulation and well let down hindquarters. Looked a picture both standing and moving, really striding out. Best Puppy and BPIS. 2 Jordon's Rodima So Smart. This youngster lives up to her name. So smart cream and litter sister to MP winner, with the same comments.Good all round make and shape, moving out in style and unlucky to meet the winner on top form. 3 Norton's Halunke Casalani. JB (7,2) 1 Worwick's Simply Music from Dolyharp. This super red I have judged before as a puppy and she is maturing up well. Everything in the right place and the most super hindquarters and best hind drive of the day. Just needs to coat up to finish the picture and then she will trouble the best. Pushed hard for the Res CC, her time will come. 2 Jamieson's Djeata Spring Blossom. R of similar type. Good head and eye, super front and shoulders. Ribbing of good length and nicely rounded. Just out of coat, moved and showed well. 3 Barnsdale's Haywards Chriskims Trinnity. NB (1) 1 Johnson's Charpurdy Star of the East. Red who stood alone in this class. Lots to like about this one, nice make and shape. Just needs to settle on the table. Well let down hindquarters and moved really well. PGB (8,2) 1 Worwick's Simply Music from Dolyharp. 2 Johnson's Charpurdy Star Turn. Beautiful and well balanced red with a very feminine head and dark, expressive eye. Good length and spring of rib, well let down hindquarters and she moved well. 3 Brace's Xemxija Ice on Fire. LB (5) 1 Wallace's Cheslan Mukunu Rah. This b/t was my find of the day. Beautiful head and eye, super forechest and depth and length of keel. Excellent length and spring of rib, well let down hindquarters with nice short hocks. This was reflected in her super hind drive, looked a picture both standing and moving. CC and BOB, I believe this made her up on the day, well done. 2 Thomas' Shenaligh Teasel. Another well proportioned b/t with lots to like, very similar to the winner in all departments. The winner just had the edge on hindquarters, nevertheless still a quality exhibit. 3 Mee's Barlaines Amber Star. OB (7,3) I found this class very hard to judge, as there were four different types, all of good quality. 1 Boyle's Zarcrest Golden Legacy. A light red of outstanding quality, most beautiful head and expressive dark eye. Well angulated front and rear and super length and spring of rib, well let down hindquarters. Showed to perfection as one would expect from this kennel. Res CC. 2 Roberts' Ch Denver Suzi Wong. B/T and a larger type than the winner. Good overall make and shape, with good depth and spring of rib. Lots to like about this one and she showed well. 3 Wallace's Cheslan Fenfushi Rah.
