MINIATURE LONG HAIRED

What a stalwart lot we are, conditions were atrocious, I thought I had made the best of a bad lot by choosing to judge under canvas but it had become a bog within half an hour. For the conditions the exhibits were all presented in immaculate condition, not sure how you managed that. Although the numbers were not there, I was thrilled with the quality and was spoilt for choice in many classes.

MPD (1) 1 Booth’s Asbach Andreas BPD. On his own, lovely to go over, soft appealing expression with good pigmentation, good length of neck flowing into well laid shoulders, excellent front assembly. Good top line, lovely hind angulation, really uses his lovely quarters. He paints a lovely balanced picture.

PD (1) 1 King’s Kingdax Casanova. Lovely shape, hope he does not grow on. Lovely head and neck, good depth of ribbing, good tail carriage.

JD (2) 1 Brook’s Layways Piper for Lyndarlea. Clear Cream, nice head and length of neck, would prefer a better lay of shoulder. Good length of ribbing. Has lovely hind angulation and good top line. 2 Brealey’s Lyndarlea Silver Wave at Xanadax. Silver Dapple, lovely head and expression, good forechest, narrower than I would like and a bit tall on leg for me.

PGD (5,1) 1 Brook’s Lyndarlea Fizzycal Attracts. Lovely head neck and shoulders. Good length and depth of ribbing. Good top line and tail set. 2 Charnley’s Northnook Rafferty. Sweet head, would prefer more neck for balance. Good top line, tail set and hind angulation. 3 Stagg’s Highland Laddie

LD (4) 1 Warren and Rothwell’s Jadag Continental Diplomat JW Sh.CM. Lovely to go over, unfortunately out of coat but could not penalise his quality for lack of coat. Lovely head and expression, good reach of neck flowing into well laid shoulders. Lovely length and depth of ribbing. Good tail set and hind angulation. 2 Brook’s Lyndarlea Pedro Beautifully presented, his head is a bit feminine for a male, good shoulders, topline and hind angulation. 3 Shutt’s Donnadoon Doplomat JW.

OD (5) 1 Brown’s Ch. Rafthouse Raising Hell at Garbosa. Just lovely, really balanced in all quarters, lovely head with good earset, good reach of neck and superb shoulders with excellent length and depth of ribbing. Excellent hind quarters, really uses his hocks to drive him around. Loved his ring presents, well muscled, delighted to award him the CC 2 Brook’s Ch. Lyndarlea Choc Ice. Another one I really like, I have given him the RCC before, unfortunate to meet number one in such good form. Lovely head and expression, soft but masculine, good pigmentation, lovely length and depth of ribbing, good top line, lovely hindquarters delighted to give him the RCC. 3 Bedford’s Wyndax Latte Leo.

VB (2) 1 Brown’s Ch. Northnook Ellie May at Garbosa. Always admired this lady as a youngster, most appealing head and expression, good length of neck flowing into well laid shoulders. Excellent length and depth of ribbing, lovely top line and excellent hind angulation something you have come to expect from this kennel. 2 Johnson’s Charpurdy New Dawn. Smaller type, 12 years old, giving a good account of herself. Lovely head and neck, good top line and hind quarters.

MPB (6) Three very nice bitches in this class. 1 Bedford’s Dinkidudlor Cojo Soromo. Loved this young lady, she is correct in all quarters. Most appealing head and expression, good length of neck flowing into well laid shoulders, excellent pro-sternum length and depth of ribbing. Lovely top line held on the move. Lovely coming and going, good hind angulation, really uses her hocks, moved around the ring beautifully . Will be most interest in her progress, one for the future I think. 2 Thomas’s Shenaligh Sweet Dreamer. Another most appealing baby, melting expression, lovely ribbing, good top line, beautifully presented. 3 Booth’s Asbach Amelie

PB (6) Too many nerves creeping in, I’ve had it myself. Dachshunds are a breed that need socialising at a very early age. Good excuse to go to the Pub, just get them out and about, no problem with my first three however. 1 Graham’s Hillstar Lexzina of Jadag Another stunner, lovely in all quarters, lovely head and expression, good reach of neck flowing into well laid shoulders, good pro-sternum, length and depth of ribbing. Lovely hind quarters that she really uses to her advantage. I think she has an exciting future in front of her. Delighted to award her BP. 2 Heiser’s Polinard Grace N’ Favour. Nice head, for balance I would prefer more neck, lovely top line, good coming and going. 3 Brook’s Lyndarlea Dark Moment

JB (3) 1 Johnson’s Charpurdy Just Iss. Lovely shape and out line, most appealing head and expression, well laid shoulders, good length and depth of ribbing. Keeps correct distance apart coming and going. 2 Brown’s Garbosa Saffron. Not my type of head, would prefer a better lay of shoulder, good length and depth of ribbing. 3 Green’s Eldmour Electra

PGB (5,1) 1 Johnson’s Charpurdy Millie McStar. Lovely head and expression, good length of neck, excellent top line, real glamour girl, uses her hocks well, reaches out in front. 2 Charnley’s Northnook Lucyanna. Lovely sweet head, good length of neck, lovely to go over. Kept roaching when stood but levelled out on the move, feeling the cold I think. 3 Tremble’s Northnook Pollyanna

LB (2) 1 Brown’s Garbosa Chocolate Vogue. She just filled my eye, lovely chocolate, excellent pigment, appealing head and expression, lovely reach of neck, flowing into well laid shoulders. Good pro-sternum, lovely length and depth of ribbing. Lovely top line, keeps equal distance apart coming and going, reaches in front and drives on rear. Beautifully balanced with nothing exaggerated. Uses the ring well, was just screaming out for the ticket which I was delighted to award CC and BOB 2 Thomas’s Shenaligh Sweet Shadow JW. Another lovely lady, most appealing head and expression, well sprung ribs, good top line, lovely hind angulation.

OB (3,1) 1 Goddard’s Ch. Minard Krystal Darque. Lovely, what can I say that has not already been said, beautifully presented, loveliest head and expression, good neck, shoulders and top line, gives her all in the ring. Today she had to give way to youth, as CC winner excelled in hind movement, she earned her RCC well done. 2 Jamieson’s Djeata Spring Blossom. This young lady is lovely to go over, good shape, excellent movement, reaches and drives. Good top line, length and depth of ribbing.
