MINIATURE LONGHAIRED
It is a few years since I last judged the breed and I was quite impressed
with the improvement, particularly coat. Gone were the stuffy looking frills
around the neck and the long weak loins seemed to have disappeared. I thought
the overall condition and presentation was much improved. My main concern this
time was width of front movement. A few almost Queen Anne type seem to be
appearing and these I penalised heavily.
MPD (5,1) 1 Poole’s Findowrie City Sliker. Very promising red. Pleasing
head and eye, good front, short, strong loin. Ultra sound. 2 Brooks’ Lyndarlea
Midnite Man. Another promising youngster. Excellent head and eye, good neck on
well laid shoulders. Not as mature, especially in movement as winner. 3 Burge
and Rossiter’s Creekpit Follow the Dream.
PD (3) 1 Wood’s Wildstar Wrenowned. Very mature black and tan.
Excellent bone and angulation at both ends. Short strong loin and firm topline
Excellent coat and condition. Nothing I would like to change. I will watch his
career with interest. Showed like a veteran. RCC and BP. 2 Brooks’ Lyndarlea
Atlantica. Another promising black and tan youngster. Excellent front,
angulation and coupling. Only needs time. 3 McCarthy’s Magshall All Guns
Blazing.
JD (3,1) 1 Cawley and King’s Creekpit Black Opal at Summerview.
Black and tan in excellent condition. Super head and eye, good neck, excellent
hind angulation with thick low-set hocks. 2 Fsadni’s Rugusa Saint Barnabus.
Shaded cream in excellent coat and condition. Needs more confidence.
PGD (5) 1 Brooks’ Layways Piper For Lyndarle. Pleasing cream in
excellent coat and condition. Well coupled, strong loin, good angulation. Would
like a little more head. 2 Hallett’s Cagebrook Jimmy Choo at Loretto. Shaded red
with pleasing head and eye. Strong keel, good depth, fair angulation both ends.
3 Mee’s Barlaine’s Midnight Prince.
LD (7,2) 1 Farmer’s Jenwood Shady Spot. Clear red. Pleasing head and
eye. Nice hind angulation with well rounded rump. Good topline. Scored on depth
and width of front. 2 Brooks’ Lyndarlea Fizzycal Attracts JW. Chocolate with
pleasing head, good angulation, compact loin giving firm topline. 3 McCarthy’s
Magshall Polar Seal.
OD (7,1) 1 Oxley’s Dinkidax Donny Rova JW. Black and tan in
excellent coat and condition. Pleasing masculine head with good eye. Strong long
neck on well laid shoulders, excellent angulation, short, strong loin, nice
broad, round rump, sound, free stylish mover. CC. 2 Brooks’ Lyndarlea Earth
Tremor. Another pleasing black and tan. Well constructed in excellent coat and
condition. Sound, free mover. 3 Breese’s Silkdown On Parade.
MPB (15,4) A difficult class to judge. Standing most looked
fantastic. To handle they were quite promising but when they moved! 1
Breese’s Chriskim’s Sun Kissed With Silkdown. Shaded red. Pleasing head and eye,
good neck, well constructed and coupled body. Excellent angulation at both ends.
Stood and moved low to ground. 2 May’s Ralines Butternut Posh. Attractive cream
with excellent pigment, good angulation, low set hocks, sound. Stood and moved
low to ground. 3 Herdman’s Daxdaze Easter Majic.
PB (14,2) Two beautiful, promising, sound, free-moving
bitches headed an excellent class. 1 Thomas’ Shenaligh Sweet Dreamer. Shaded
red, excellent bone and correct shaped eye. Scored on head, feet and angulation.
One I would be proud to own. 2 Brooks’s Lyndarlea Sunset. Elegant feminine,
clear red. Super profile. Pushed winner hard. 3 Breese’s Chriskim’s Sun Kissed
With Silkdown.
JB (8) 1 Brooks’ Lyndarlea Dark Moment. Well constructed, ultra
sound black and tan. Good head, eye, neck and bone. Nice feet, well coupled.
Lovely broad rump. 2 McCarthy’s Magshall Daisy Duke. Elegant, feminine, cream.
Pleasing outline, strong keel with good length of rib. Sound, free mover. 3
Welton’s Chelane Pure Majic.
PGB (14,2) 1 Mee’s Barlaine’s Dark Delight. Super, black and tan.
Excellent head with correctly shaped eye. Long, muscular neck on well laid
shoulders. Good length of correctly-fitting upper arm, excellent angulation at
both ends, good ribs, short, strong loin. Plenty of width standing and moving,
correct free flowing movement with drive showing particularly from the side. CC
and BOB. 2 Cooper’s Jumanda’s Black Majic. Another pleasing bitch. Good head,
eye and neck on well laid shoulders. Sound, free flowing mover. A bit taller
than winner. 3 Farmer’s Jenwood Morning Mist.
LB (8) 1 Thomas’ Shenaligh Sweet Shadow JW. Pleasing, well constructed
feminine, red. Excellent shape, bone and coupling. Good head, correct shaped
dark eye. Full broad, strong, muscled rump. Moved soundly with drive. 2 Norton’s
Halunke Casalani. Black and cream? Excellent bone. Nice rounded quarters. Moved
with drive and confidence. 3 Mee’s Barlaine’s Country Classic.
OB (7) 1 Goddard’s Minard a Girl Like Me. Very glamorous, well
constructed, clear red. Scored on width, bone and soundness. Nice feet. In
excellent coat and condition. RCC. 2 Norton’s Halunke Shallimar. Red with
feminine head and nice dark eye. Excellent angulation at both ends. 3 Cooper’s
Jumanda’s Lily.
