Scottish Dachshund Club 2008
MINIATURE LONG HAIRED
My apologies for the lateness of this report, a holiday immediately after the show and then a house move meant things got a bit behind! My thanks to the committee for the invitation and to the exhibitors for their entries. MPD (3) 1 Bedford's Rugosa Mr Bounder of Dinkidudlor. Good head and eye, well laid shoulder, good fore cheat, well-angulated hindquarters, nice top and underline, moved OK needs to tighten in the rear. 2 Geeson's Bronia Return of the King to Abydachs, 6mth shaded cream on his first outing. Lovely puppy with much to commend him, topline just not as settled as first and a touch erratic when he moved. 3 Brook's Lyndalea All Nite Rhythm. PD (6,2) 1 Brown's Rafthouse Raising Hell at Garbosa. Choc/tan star in the making, loved him, lovely head and eye with good length of muzzle. Very well made front construction, lovely feet, well off for ribbing with good top and underline. Lovely hammy quarters, lovely coat, very well presented. Best mover in the class, will watch his progress with interest. BP and BPIS. 2 Brooks Layways Paper for Lyndalea. 10mth cream, nice head and eye, nicely constructed puppy with lots to like, not as positive in movement and was unlucky to meet first. 3 Keay's Essendy Just a Genie. JD (3, 1) 1 Brook's Lyndalea Fizical Attracts. Choc and tan, masculine head with good eye, good ear set, good neck with well laid shoulders, well off for bone with nice feet. Forechest OK, good hindquarters, good topline, well presented coat. Moved well in front, touch erratic at rear. 2 Keay's Simply Ebony and Ivory by Essendy, silver dapple, could be a touch stronger in head and was a touch wide in front. Good ribbing, touch short in coat. Moved OK. PGD (5) 1 Roberts Wingcrest Goldfinger with Denver. Shaded cream, classic head, correct eye. Correct front construction, good bone and feet, well off for ribbing, good topline, well angulated hindquarters, well presented coat, moved with purpose round the ring, covering the ground. 2 Redfern's Andyynromadax Amiable Lad. B/T Sound exhibit with many qualities but topline was running up slightly. 3 Brook's Lyndalea Pedro. LD (8) 1 Warren/Rowells Jadag Continental Diplomat JW ShCM. B/T best of heads with lovely eye, loved the length of muzzle, good ear set. Excellent front, well off for bone, good length with correct top and underline, good hindquarters, coat in excellent condition, moved soundly. 2 Oxley's Dinkidax Donny Rova JW. B/C Another very nice exhibit, good head, well constructed front and rear, level, just thought the winner had the edge on movement. 3 Bedford's Wynndax Latte Leo of Dinkidudlor. OD (8, 3a) Lovely class to judge, the first 2 are outstanding exhibits that were a pleasure to judge, needed 2 red cards, no doubt they will change places many times. 1 Tuner's Ch Rafthouse Herr Flick. S/D found this dog outstanding, excellent head and eye, best of fronts, correct top and underline, super hindquarters, lovely bone, everything fits when you put your hands on him. Moves round the ring as if he owns it. Pleased to award him the CC. 2 Graham/Wood's Ch Jadag Forntons Special. Cracking B/T, correct head with good eye, excellent front construction, good ribbing, level, well angulated hindquarters. Splitting hairs but preferred the hind action on first. RCC. 3 Brown's Ir Ch Jympems Houdini at Garbosa JW. MPB (2,1a) 1 Heiser's Polinard Grace 'n' Favour. Well made puppy in good condition, 6mth shaded cream, nice head proportions, excellent front into well laid shoulder. Good feet, moved well. PB (9,2 a) 1 Boyle's Ice Piste. 12 mth B/T Excellent head with beautiful dark eye. Well filled front with well laid shoulder. Good bone and feet, excellent ribbing and topline, correct hindquarters, superbly presented, moved positively. 2 Heiser's Polinard Grace 'n' Favour. 3 Roberts Denver Enny Lane. JB (5, 1) 1 Kennedy's Denkena Ruby Dante. Shaded red, feminine head, well made bitch that kept her outline both standing and moving. 2 Kennedy's Denkena Glitter Baby. B/T litter sister to 1, not her topline and touch erratic on the move. 3 Mourton's Chelane Count on Me at Eldmour. PGB (11,1) 1 Brown's Garbosa Chocolate Vogue. C/T. another lovely exhibit from this kennel, loved the type, super head and eye, excellent shoulders, well made body, best of toplines, well angulated hindquarters which she used well moving, in excellent condition. 2 Lockett / Lockett-Walters Ralines Gold Charm Shaded Cream. Another class where 2 red cards were needed, just preferred the head and movement on the first. 3 Oxley's Dinkidax Midnite Conshirto. LB (9, 3) 1 Jamieson's Djeata Spring Blossom. Red, feminine head, good neck, well laid shoulder, good front construction, good bone and feet. Excellent topline held at all times, well conditioned coat, won this class on her excellent movement. 2 Roberts Denver Love Me Tender. Cream. This was a close call with the winner; she had the same good construction but didn't keep quite the picture moving as stacked as the first had the edge on movement. 3 Mee's Barlaines Country Classic. OB (10, 1) 1 Goddard's Ch Minard Krystal Darque. B/T. I have read a lot about this bitch but it isn't until you put your hands on her and then see her move that you appreciate just how outstanding she is. Everything fits where it should, she oozes quality. She doesn't drip in coat that some exhibits do, but when she moves it shows her feet going exactly where they should do. Wonderful rapport with her handler. If I could change anything I would prefer a touch more almond shaped eye, but this would be the one I would take home. CC and BOB. 2 Lockett-Walters Ralines Geisha Girl. Shaded cream, I loved this bitch, very well constructed but she could not get past my winner. RCC. 3 Roberts Ch Denver Suzi Wong.
