It was a pleasure to judge the Mniature
Longhairs at this prestigious show, and I was delighted about th excellent
entry. In general I found heads typical and most exhibits had good toplines.
Unfortunately I was concerned to find a high percentage of dogs with completely
wrong front assembly. Many were much too short in front with weak pasterns and
open feet, completely lacking stamina in front.
MPD(5, 3) 1 Roper's Idirsholas Jazz's Gift. Correct coat, very good
type and mature for age, excellent angulation and good drive from behind, front
not his best point. 2 McCarthy's Nagshall Walking In The Sun. Light red,
excellent head and reach of neck, sufficiently strong back for age, a touch
weak in pastern, a bit narrow in front.
PD(5, 1) 1 Brooks' Lyndarlea Rustic. Red, ok in coat for age, very
good head and skull, firm, straight back, good ribcage, very good angulation
and movement. BP. 2 Oxley's Willott Gentle Breeze. B/t, correct type, long head
and good reach of neck, could be straighter in topline, ok behind.
JD(5) 1 Oxley's Dinkidax Donnovan. B/t, good markings and excellent
coat texture, long head, good reach of neck, firm back, good angulations, tight
feet. 2 Broad's Neertanauf Sea Magic. Light red, good size and substance, very
good head and neck, firm back, well set tail, open feet. 3 Brown's Garbosa
Garfield.
PGD(12, 1) 1 Renton &Brown's Garbosa Catcha Moonbeam. Red, very good
overall type, good coat, good topline, weak pasterns. 2 Cawley &King's
Summerview Make Way For Roo. Deep red, very good head and neck, firm short
back, good angulation, loose feet spoilt movement. 3 Brooks' Lyndarlea Latte.
LD(5, 1) 1 Wilson's Dinkidax Wild Thing Of Willott. B/t, a touch too
low to the ground, long foreface, nice neck, firm back, a touch weak in
pasterns, would like more stride and drive. 2 Poole's Findowrie Mr McDuff.
Slightly smutty red, ok in head and expression, dark almond shaped eyes, good
depth of ribcage, weak pasterns. 3 Barnsdale &Hayward-Barnsdale's Chriskims
Blaze Of Light.
OD(8, 2) 1 Holden's Ch Sengepabu Saint Valentine. Red, excellent head
and expression, medium length of neck, firm back, good angulations, very good
movement coming and going. CC. 2 Holmes' Tammera Touch Of Class. Red, typical
head with dark eyes, long neck, firm topline, deep ribcage but not extreme, a
touch weak in front. RCC. 3 Mee's Barlaines Golden Striker.
MPB(5, 2) 1 Young's Nagshall Ivory Addition With Willowheath. Creme,
head and expression ok for age, slightly low set ears, a touch short in neck,
good correct angulation but weak in pasterns. 2 McCarthy's Nagshall The Power
Of Love. Pleasing long head, good neck, slightly raising towards the loin and
slightly locking hind angulation, good depth of ribcage, weak in pasterns. 3
Rees' Yumares Victoria Jane.
PB(8) 1 Brooks' Lyndarlea Choc Dolly. Red/dapple, correct head and
eye, excellent ears, good neck, good angulation and good mover. BP and RCC. 2
Wilson's Willott Dancing Diva. B/dapple, excellent head type, good reach of
neck, firm topline, again rather weak in pastern and open feet. 3 McCarthy's
Nagshall The Power Of Love.
JB(13, 4) 1 Halsall's Kiddles Psalm. Chocolate/tan, typical head and
size, well carried neck, a touch soft in back, good front and excellent
angulation. 2 Cawley &King's Little Miss Honeybun For Summerview. Red, a bit
out of coat today, long lean head, a touch low set ears, good reach of neck and
firm back, excellent front, but rather close in hocks. 3 Poole's Findowries
Flirtation.
PGB(18, 3) 1 Murphy's Classidax Follow The Dream. B/t, excellent head
and expression, good neck, firm back and deep ribcage, sound movement, super
angulation, compared with most in this entry, good feet, in full coat, well
presented. CC and BOB. 2 Holmes' Tammera Just Elegant. Red, long head,
sufficient length of hock, straight back, good depth of chest, excellent hind
angulation, moved with drive, let down by bad front. 3 Duke's Chriskims Truly
Yours.
LB(11, 3) 1 Bell's Tolberg Holly's Little Tilly. B/t, a touch heavier
in head, ok in reach of neck and topline, sufficient drive from behind a touch
open feet. 2 Burr &Abbott's Burrdach Any Dream Will Do. Red, a touch open coat,
a touch short in foreface, excellent neck and topline, a touch weak in
pasterns, moved with sufficient drive. 3 McCarthy's Nagshall Puppet On A String
JW.
OB(8, 2) 1 Leach's Willowheath Lady Sophia At Miriadachs. B/t with
excellent markings, typical head and lean neck, firm topline, deep chested
without exaggeration, rather weak in pasterns, good rear end. 2 Clewes' Torwood
Declaration At Shardbeck. Red, on the smaller side, pleasing head with good
eye, straight back, a bit weak in pasterns, could be straighter. 3 Brown's Ch Garbosa
Chocolate Vogue.
