DACHSHUND - MINIATURE LONG HAIRED
I found the overall quality of the breed
much improved since the last time I judged the Mini Longs. I didn't find any
too thin or too fat. However I did find a need for improvement in hind
movement, as a number of exhibits looked lovely standing, but lost out on the
move when viewed from the side. They tummy taped, lacking hind drive.
VD (4) 1 King's Ch Kingsdax Regal Knight. S/r of good balance, lovely
head and eye, well angulated front and rear, keeping a good topline at all
times, moved really well for a veteran. 2 Worswick's Ch Dolyharp Don Basilio JW.
Cream, larger type to first, in good coat and condition, masculine head and
dark eye, one I have judged before and still looking well, moved round the ring
with style and purpose. 3 Jamieson's Silver-A-Do By Djeata CJW. S/d of good
make and shape, everything in the right place when going over him, moved and
showed well.
Sp PD(8) 1 Wallace's Cheslan Thudufushi. super young b/t boy with
correct houndy head and eye, good front, tight elbows, good length and spring
of rib, strong, neat hindquarters, moved soundly with terrific hind drive. BP.
Should have a bright future. 2 Shutt's Donnydax Secret Dream Of Donnadoon.
Quality cream, lots to like about this youngster, nice shaped head and dark
eye, correct layback of shoulder, ribbing of good length, neat angulated
hindquarters, good bone and feet, moved freely, keeping a good outline. 3
Young's Willowheath Floyd. Larger b/t in good coat and condition, lots to like
about him, lovely to go over, everything in the right place, moved well.
Sp JD(9) 1 Johnson's Charpurdy Gold McNugget. Super b/t, so well
balanced, all in proportion, correct head and eye, good arch of neck running
into well placed shoulders, tight elbows, good bend of stifle with lovely
driving hind movement, keeping a good topline both standing and moving. 2
McDonnell's Smartdac Supernatural. Smart b/t, lovely in profile, good forechest
and front, correct lay back of shoulders, ribbing of good length and depth,
hindquarters nice and round with nice short hocks, moved well. 3 Holden's
Sengepabu Ares. Well bodied young boy in good coat and condition, moved true
both ways with drive. Handled well.
YD(12) 1 Oxley's Dinkidax Jack Flash. Quality b/t, lovely head and
eye, in good coat and condition, well developed front, good length and spring
of rib, lovely hindquarters which he used well on the move, showed well. 2
Dickenson's Dinkidax Broxa Boy At Ribblesmere. Another super quality b/t,
litter brother to first and same remarks, could change places another time,
showed and handled well. 3 Poole's Findowrie Mr McDuff. Lovely balanced red of
good length, correct angulation both ends, good shaped head and eye, showed
well.
PGD(15, 1) 1 Wallace's Cheslan Madivaru. Sire of my two puppy winners.
And what a find this b/t boy was, everything I was looking for. Super head and
eye, prominent forechest and depth and length of keel, excellent length and
spring of rib, well let down hindquarters, nice short hocks. This was reflected
in his super hind drive, looked a picture standing and moving, pushed CC winner
hard. should have a bright future. 2 Cawley &King's Summerview Make Way For
Roo. Super red boy, well balanced all in proportion. Good head and eye, correct
shoulder, tight elbows, good turn of stifle, lovely driving movement, keeping
correct topline, both standing and moving. 3 Holmes' Tammera Touch Of Class.
Well balanced red, good head and expressive eye, good length and spring of rib,
well let down hindquarters, moved well.
LD(14) 1 Roberts' Ravenways Tornero At Dandydayo. Super class, how
compact, well bodied b/t with excellent ring presence, correct head and eye,
super bone and feet, well angulated shoulders, tight elbows, sound quarters,
moved true coming and going, handled really well. 2 Wallace's Cheslan
Kuramathi. Well balanced, compact red, lots to like about this boy, loved his
elegant head and expressive dark eye, super length and spring of rib, good
topline and underline, well let down hindquarters, lovely short hocks, which
showed in his super movement, pushed first hard. 3 Brooks' Lyndarlea Raferty
JW. Cream, another of great quality in full coat and good hard condition,
unfortunate to meet first and second in top form, could change places another
day.
OD(14, 2) 1 Wood's Ch Wildstar Wrenowned JW. Stunning b/t, all quality
throughout, lovely head and eye, correct balanced body, tight elbows, strong
muscled hindquarters with short hocks, good bone and feet, coat in super
condition, groomed and handled to perfection, moved round the ring with
soundness and ease. A credit to the breed. CC and BOB. 2 Boyle's Ch Zarcrest
Ice Conqueror. Handsome cream boy, lovely to go over, good head with dark
almond eye, good layback of shoulder, tight elbows with good length and spring
of rib, neat quarters, moved out with style, handled and shown to perfection,
not in his best coat today. 3 McAlpine &Walsh's Ch/Ir Ch Walpines Brandy
Butter. Cream, worthy Ch, all quality throughout, moved and showed well,
another not in his best jacket.
GCD(1) 1 Broad's Neertanauf Sea Magic. 1 Broad's Neertanauf Sea Magic.
Red, good head and eye, nice overall make and shape, showed well, unplaced in
junior.
VB(8) 1 Brooks' Lyndarlea Shutt The Door. Three lovely veterans.
Cream, nearly 8 years old and still looking well, lovely shaped head, nice dark
eye, good pigment in super coat and condition, moved out well. 2 Holmes' Ch
Tammera Touch Of Elegance. Elegant eight and a half year old clear red, good
head, arched neck into well placed shoulders, good topline and underline, which
she keeps on the move, moved freely and with style. 3 Burge &Rossiter's
Rafthouse Rainbows End At Creekpit ShCM. Seven and a half years old b/t, credit
to her owner, still looking really well, in good coat and body condition, moved
really well with drive.
Sp PB(10, 1) 1 Wallace's Cheslan Medhufushi. Such a lot to like about
this little b/t, very feminine head and expressive eye, super make and shape,
well covered body, should grow into something nice, loved her super
hindquarters and short hocks, moved round the ring with style. Beaten for BP by
litter brother. Two super puppies. 2 Geeson's Abydachs Apparition. Choc/tan,
much larger type than first, very mature for a puppy with good body length and
well covered, well angulated both ends, moved round the ring with confidence
but preferred head and eye of one, nonetheless a very nice puppy. 3 Graham's
Jadag Felicity Fornton. Mature b/t, houndy head, nice diamond eye, good front,
tight elbow, long ribs, strong, neat hindquarters, moved well.
Sp JB(11, 1) 1 Singleton's Longort Classic Diamond. Super b/t, very
promising 18 mth old, lovely size, very feminine, well developed front with
good length and spring of rib, super bone and chunky feet, moved really well
keeping a good topline at all times. 2 Poole's Findowrie Rings N Roses. Red of
smaller type, soundly constructed with good length and spring of rib, super
rounded hindquarters with nice short hocks, moved soundly keeping a good
topline both standing and moving. 3 Norris' Criscan Khesia. B/t of good size
and proportions, body of good length, well let down hindquarters in good coat
and condition, moved well.
YB(15) 1 Sainsbury's Ridgegrove Chocolate Drop At Boscolla. Choc d,
eyecatching little bitch, very feminine head and eye, super make and shape with
well covered body, good forechest and depth and length of keel, ribbing of good
length, moved out with style. 2 McCarthy's Nagshall Wings Of Love JW. Small,
compact cream, excellent front assembly, well angulated front and rear, super
bone and well padded feet, excellent outline both standing and moving. 3
Brace's Xemxija Star Light. Red of good overall size and quality, super well
covered body with well angulated quarters, used well on the move.
PGB(23, 2) 1 Wallace's Cheslan Fenfushi Rah. Dam of my two puppy
winners, light red of outstanding quality, most beautiful head and eye, well
angulated front and rear, super length and spring of rib, well let down
hindquarters, showed to perfection. I must congratulate this clever breeder for
the super quality coming out of this kennel. Well done. 2 Bell's Tolberg
Holly's New Edition. Lovely b/t, so unlucky to meet first on such top form,
beautiful to go over, everything in the right place, excellent length and
spring of rib, body well covered, super angulated hindquarters, moved round the
ring with style. These two could change places another time. 3 Norton's Halunke
Sheer Magic. Another quality b/t with super well covered body, length and depth
of rib nice, well rounded hindquarters, showed well.
LB(18) 1 Wood's Wildstar Wreflection. What a super class of top
quality bitches. This beautiful b/t caught my eye as she entered the ring,
correct head and expressive eyes, lovely long neck which flowed into good lay
of shoulders, super forechest and keel, excellent length and spring of rib,
super rounded quarters with lovely short hocks, really strode out with super
hind drive keeping good topline on the move. RCC. 2 McCarthy's Nagshall Puppet
On A String JW. Well proportioned cream of good size, super well covered body,
a different type to first having well sprung ribs and of good length, good bone
and feet, well let down hindquarters, moved with style. 3 Palin's Sanmik
Amulet. B/t, lots to like about this one, showing quality and style, moved true
coming and going, top quality exhibit.
OB(14, 1) 1 Boyle's Ch Zarcrest Ice On Fire. Stunning cream girl. All
quality throughout, lovely head and expressive eye, correct black pigment, good
balanced body, tight elbows and spring of rib, well muscled hindquarters, in
lovely coat and condition, handled and shown to perfection as always from this
kennel, looked a picture moving round the ring. CC. 2 Johnson's Ch Charpurdy
Just Iss. B/t of good make and shape, loved the type of this one, so well put
together, in lovely coat and condition, super topline and underline, well
angulated quarters, nice short hocks, moved true at all times, a worthy
champion. 3 Jamieson's Djeata Cosmopolitan CJW. B/t of smaller type, shown in
good hard condition, very feminine, excellent body shape and construction,
super hindquarters, moved really well.
GCB(3) 1 Hellens' Andynromadax Alanna At Lynbain. Lovely b/t,
unplaced in big limit class, lovely head and eye, in good coat and condition,
good bone and substance, showed herself off in this class with a good topline
on the move. 2 Murphy's Classidax Follow The Dream. B/t, same type as first,
good length and spring of rib, well bodied, good bone and feet, keeping a good
outline at all times. 3 Burr &Abbott's Burrdach Any Dream Will Do. Red,
everything in the right place, beautiful to go over, strong body in good coat
and condition, showed well.
