Thank you to the exhibitors for there entries’. I enjoyed judging this lovely breed, and was pleased with my overall placing. All were well presented, although teeth on some could do with a clean. I found none on the thin side, 2 exhibits were well over the desired weight .Temperaments were a concern, many lacked confidence, and extra training for some, may have affected my decisions.
MPD (1) 1st Oxley’s Dinkidax Good Saul, Clear red of lovely type, and good pigment. Correct front construction, with pleasing ribbing, and well let down quarters. Confident puppy who moved well.
PD. (4) 1st Brooks Lyndarlea, Rustic. Clear red of good type, lovely head with dark pigment, Sound front, elegant neck, running into well laid shoulders. Moved with drive ,keeping a good top line.
2nd Haywood and Barnsdales, Chriskims Dreamcaster. Different type to one, black and cream, with lovely houndy head, liked his substance and chunky feet, good lay of shoulder and ribbing. Meaty quarters, excellent hind angulation, moved with drive. Would like more neck. 3rd Patterson’s Wilmaranna Bond Junior
JD (3) 1st Bedford’s Dinkidudlar Jankay Tooray. Compact shaded red with good pigment. Nothing glamorous about him. But he has sound construction through, with excellent shoulder and ribbing. A strong rear, which he used well on the move, keeping a good top line. 2nd Grahams Jadag Heir Apparent.
Houndy chocolate dapple, with good bone. longer cast than one, elegant neck and good shoulders, not always at one with his handler, and needs more confidence. 3rd Oxley’s Willot Mr Breeze
