HILLSTAR
ALEXZINA (MRS H PRIESTLEY) |
Really enjoyed my day and had some lovely
dogs. Temperaments on the whole were god. Two babies just need to gain
confidence, but nothing seriously to worry about. The KC has rules not to award
prizes to unsound animals or those with unsound temperament. Sadly I had to ask
one to be taken out of the ring as he would not let me examine him at all.
Shame. Some teeth were really dirty. Don't forget the back ones please. Thank
you for the lovely entry.
MPD(2, 1) 1 Brooks' Lynderlea Russtic. Red. Very promising boy,
substantial bone, handsome male head, construction correct all through, loved
his attitude, such a sound mover, impressive from any angle, beautifully
presented, as are all dogs from this kennel.
PD(5) 1 Roberts' Denver Darling Jackpot. The most beautiful cream, in
immaculate condition, correct flat coat, good shoulders with lovely length of
neck, masculine head with correct eye, looked super from any angle, covers the
ground on the move, just needs to acquire that arrogant attitude on the move,
Lovely. BP and RCC. Another kennel whose dogs are an object lesson in
presentation. 2 Graham's Jadag Heir Apparent. Chocolate dapple, one of my
favourite colours, very mature for his age with excellent bone, super doggy
head, lovely length of neck leading into correct shoulders, ribbed well back and
strong hindquarters, kept his outline at all times, standing and on the move,
just needs to finish in coat, promising. 3 Brooks' Lyndarlea Billy Buntin.
PGD(3, 2) 1 Brooks' Lyndarlea Latte. Chocolate, correct front and
length of ribbing, layback of shoulder is good, would like a little more length
of upper arm, moved soundly, to be critical, would prefer more length as he
looks a shade square on the move, lovely coat.
LD(2) 1 Bedford's Rossdach Laughing Cavalier Of Dinkidudlor. A problem
boy as his coat does him no favours, black/tan. It is not flat as required,
however, underneath he is very well constructed, well developed front and
shoulders, long ribbing and strong quarters, correct sound mover. 2 Fsadni's
Rugosa Saint Barnabas. I thought this was my winner on entering the ring. Has
that 'look at me' presence. Beautifully presented shaded cream coat, handsome
head and sound mover, however, his construction under the coat is not as correct
as the winner, shoulders are a shade straight and not the length of ribbing,
which makes him cut up a shade, noticeable more when moving. On saying all this,
he has lots to like.
OD(2) 1 Brooks' Lyndarlea Raferty JW. Cream, have admired this boy from
the ringside since he was a baby puppy. Very handsome head, good reach of neck,
lovely front and shoulders, well sprung ribs, strong hindquarters with short
hocks, very impressive on the move, covering plenty of ground, beautifully
presented. CC, his third and well deserved. 2 Paterson's Wilmaranna James Bond.
Silver dapple, quite a nice dog, his coat is not his best point, however, he has
good feet and head, well developed front and quarters, moved soundly enough,
could not meed the winners arrogant outgoing look.
VD(1) 1 Buchan &Kennedy's Stainesacre The Riddler. Seven and a half
years old black/tan boy in lovely condition, good teeth, very type, correct all
through, really free mover, showing some of the youngsters how it should be
done.
MPB (1) 1 Heiser's Polinard Mindy The Minx. Just 6 mths, black/tan
baby, sweet head, prominent front and good length of ribbing, lovely coat, needs
to mature and grow on naturally at this tender age. PB(4) 1
Halsall's Mousy Brew. Brindle baby, gave me a real headache, she is lovely to go
over on the table, excellent front and shoulders, well boned for one so small,
ribbing carried well back, leading into strong quarters, sound going away and
coming to me, but in profile she needs to come up on her front as her topline
lets her down being higher behind, really hope this corrects itself. If this
happens I think she is a promising baby. 2 Kennedy'sDenkena's Miss Booty Licious.
Black/cream, very well presented, lovely shining coat, decent front and ribbing,
good bone, would just prefer her to gain a little more confidence, hopefully
this should come as she is only a baby. 3 Priestley's Jadag Debonair Hillstar.
JB(7, 2) The first two in this class led to a close decision. 1
Kennedy's Denkena's Black Swan. Black/tan, lovely coat, substantial bone and
good feet, correctly constructed all through, moves soundly with drive, very
nice girl. 2 Hall's Cliffmere Special Edition. Close up to first, shaded red,
pretty head, similar remarks as winner regarding construction, well presented
coat although someone had had a little nibble. (Why is it always at the
ringside?) On moving away and coming too me with the winner, she was a shade
closer in front, but nit picking. 3 Laird's Flavian Circe.
PGB(5) 1 Bell's Tolberg Holly's New Edition. Black/tan, lovely girl,
very elegant with a lengthy neck leading into correctly placed shoulders, moved
really freely with drive. 2 Murphy's Classidax Follow The Dream. Black/tan,
correct well presented coat, not too profuse, well developed in front, ribbed
well back, not quite the hind angulation of first, but a nice girl. 3 Kennedy's
Denkena Blaeberry.
LB(8) Good quality class. 1 Geeson's Abydachs Apparition.
Chocolate/cream, saw her as a baby puppy and was very impressed then. The most
gorgeous expertly presented coat, excellent construction all through, really
well boned with well padded feet, her movement is outstanding, good width both
ways. When she moves around the ring she has great style and freedom. Was
pleased to award her the Res CC. She already has top awards so hopefully will
make up into a beautiful champion. Just wish she had a more classic head, but
you can't have everything. 2 Bell's Tolberg Holly's Little Tilly. Have read of
this lovely little girl, but can't remember seeing her before, beautifully
presented black/cream, lengthy elegant neck, good shoulder angulation, sound
mover, doesn't cover quite as much ground in profile as the winner. 3 Mourton's
Dinkidudlor Isha Aurog At Eldemour.
OB(4, 1) Three quality bitches. 1 Johnson's Ch Charpurdy Just Iss. This
bitch is stunning. Have been hoping to get my hands on her for ages, she is
often overlooked and for the live of me I can't see why. Her temperament is
second to none and obviously loves her owner, her head and eye are to die for,
such a lovely expression, wonderful front assembly, thick padded feet, lengthy
ribbing giving a good underline, strong, well angulated hindquarters which gives
her very strong, free movement, all topped off with a fabulous shining black/tan
coat, a well deserved CC and BOB. 2 Roberts' Denver Sugar Babe. Cream, again in
immaculate condition, very typy and sound, feminine head and expression, lovely
girl. 3 Leach's Willowheath Lady Sophie At Miradachs.
VB (1) 1 Priestley's Hillstar Alexzina. Black/tan, 9 yrs and carries it
well, very typy, in good condition, construction is correct all through, shade
reluctant to move, but sound what bit I saw.
