Miniature L/h Dachshunds
All exhibits were well presented & all were well covered & of the desired weight.
MPD (1) 1 McCarthy’s Nagshall Just Santana, 6 months cream baby of good type, very nice head, dark eyes, good front & feet, topline OK for age. Quarters need to strengthen. Steady mover & a promising puppy. BPD. PD (1) 1 McCarthy’s Nagshall Boogie Shoes, cream, litter brother to Santana & same remarks apply. Just loses his topline on the move. JD (9) 1 Barnsdale & Hayward-Barnsdale’s Chriskims Dreamcaster, b/cr, delightful head & expression, good in angulations. Feet could be tighter but uses himself on the move & in sparkling condition; 2 Norton’s Halunke Special Edition, very nice b/t, excellent head, forehand & hind angulation correct, topline & ribbing good, very sound on the move; 3 Graham’s Jadag Heir Apparent. PGD (4) 1 Broad’s Neertanauf Sea Magic, very nice s/r, moved very soundly round the ring. Liked his head & expressive eyes, very good front assembly, lengthy neck into strong level topline, well turned stifle & excellent driving quarters. One for the top drawer soon; 2 Johnson’s Charpurdy’s Gold McNugget, b/t of nice type. Preferred head & expression of 1. Very good front assembly & tight catlike feet, super coat condition, very sound on the move, good showman with excellent temperament; 3 McCarthy’s Nagshall Oklahoma Sunrise. LD (1) 1 Holmes’ Tammera Touch Of Class, super red, alone but well deserved this win. Lovely head, excellent front & feet, long crested neck into very good shoulders, topline & underline correct, good extension on the move, in excellent condition, correct silky coat. I loved him. CC which I was told gave him his crown. OD (3) 1 Brooks’ Ch Lyndarlea Raferty, could not fault this cream, has everything in the right place. Good head, expression, front & feet, neck, shoulders, topline & quarters. Sound on the move & a very worthy ch. RCC; 2 Fsadni’s Rugosa Saint Barnabas, s/cr of nice type, pleasing head, kind expression, excellent neck into good topline. Shoulders could be cleaner & could not match 1 on the move. Well handled; 3 Barnsdale & Hayward-Barnsdale’s Chriskims Blaze Of Light. VD (1) 1 Bowman-Davies’ Timshaws Storm Keeper, this 8 year veteran is a credit to his owner. Super head, lovely expression, good mouth, sparkling white teeth, correct front assembly, very nice quarters, topline OK, moved round the ring with drive & lots of presence, in excellent coat. GCD (1) A.
MPB (4) 1 Halsall’s Kiddles Britannia, 7 months red puppy, pleasing head, very nice in front, good neck & shoulders. Quarters need to strengthen But moved sound & nicely handled; 2 McCarthy’s Nagshall Love Changes This, another nice s/cr from this kennel. Only 6 months, I liked her a lot but did not have the confidence of 1. On the move she was sound & kept her shape. One to watch when she settles to the job in hand; 3 Jury’s Torwood Midnight Sun. PB (3) 1 Brooks’ Lyndarlea Thumbalina, this stunning b/t of 9 months took my eye as soon as she entered the ring & did not disappoint on the table. Super head, black eyes, excellent front & feet, lengthy neck, correct topline & underline, uses her excellent quarters well on the move keeping a balanced outline. Add to this the wet look coat condition. She must have a bright future. Considered for the RCC. BP; 2 Edwards’ Barok Brighter Than Ever, s/r, pleasing head, topline & quarters OK. Lacks bone in front legs. Moved sound to take this placing; 3 T Midnight Sun. JB (7) 1 Barnsdale & Hayward-Barnsdale’s Chriskims Dream Catcher, very nice cream of just over 12 months. Liked her head & expression, good neck & shoulders, front legs & feet, tight elbows, good quarters & sound on the move. In lovely coat & well handled; 2 Bowman-Davies’ Timshaw’s Moon Shadow, very nice brindle, good head, front assembly, neck, topline & quarters. Thought this was my winner when handled on the table but just lost topline on the move. Very well handled; 3 McCarthy’s Nagshall The Power Of Love. PGB (10) 1 Graham’s Jadag Felicity Fornton, b/t, lovely head & expression, front & feet good, tight elbows, good neck & topline. Would prefer shorter hocks. Used neck & head carriage on the move, well handled & presented; 2 Poole’s Findowrie Rings N’Roses, pretty s/r, good head, front & feet, enough neck, strong topline, lovely hammy quarters, excellent temperament, well presented & handled. Close up to 1; 3 Welton’s Chelane Chrissell. LB (9) 1 Edwards’ Barok Blondeliah, cream of very nice type, liked her head, lengthy neck, excellent body shape when stacked, strong topline & quarters. Won this class on her very sound movement & excellent temperament, very well handled & presented; 2 Norton’s Halunke Dream Maker, very pretty red, different type to 1. Very nice to handle, good outline stacked & sound both ways on the move keeping balanced outline & level topline; 3 Poole’s Findowries Crème Caramelle. OB (8) 1 Brown’s Ch Garbosa Chocolate Vogue, choc/t, very nice type who excels on the move. Head is pleasing, super neck & front assembly, topline strong into well muscled quarters. I liked her attitude both on the stack & moving, presented a lovely picture from all angles. CC & BOB: 2 Johnson’s Ch Charpurdy Just Iss, lovely b/t, in gleaming condition, very nice clean outline, everything flows together, liked her head & expression, elegant neck & good shoulders, strong bone, good feet, moved soundly both ways. RCC; 3 Fisher’s Rugosa Dawn Sunshine.
