It is 3 years since I last judged Min Longs. Overall I found quality of conformation to be good, with most exhibits having well angulated quarters, and good firm, level toplines held on the move. Front construction could still be improved, however, as there were still some loose elbows and out-turned front feet in evidence. Many feet were flat and splayed with light coloured nails too. Sadly, there were several nervous ones, especially in the bitches. I also found many to be short in keel and lacking length of rib.
Minor Puppy – Dog
Entries: 2 Absentees: 0
1st NEERTANAUF JACK JONES (MRS W GREEN)
Promising shaded red with attractive, well proportioned, masculine head. Balanced angulation in front and rear, but still needing to tighten in front. Moved out well, holding his topline in profile. Well boned throughout.
2nd CHRISKIM’S TRAIL BLAZER (MRS C & MS K BARNSDALE & HAYWARD-BARNSDALE)
Another promising red pup, more compact than 1st. Reasonable construction, and moved out freely, although he was rising behind slightly in profile. Needs more confidence

1st TOLBERG SUPER TED (MRS L BELL)
Smart black and cream with correctly proportioned head, and good eye shape. Well placed shoulders and good length upper arm, with prominent breastbone as a result. Good body shape and spring of rib and well angulated hindquarters. Free mover, holding his outline in profile, although coming towards, the profuse hair on his front legs does make him appear wider in front than he actually is. Well handled and presented. Best dog puppy.
2nd NEERTANAUF JACK JONES (MRS W GREEN)
3rd RUMMERDAX SHEREE;S LAD (MRS D CHAMBERS)
Junior – Dog
Entries: 4 Absentees: 0
1st RALINES ROMEO AT LYNDARLEA (MS L BROOKS)
Elegant shaded cream in full coat and beautifully conditioned with every hair in place. Attractive, masculine head and expression with lovely dark eye. Reasonable front construction, and very well angulated hindquarters. Kept a firm topline in profile movement and strode out well, covering the ground.
2nd NAGSHALL JUST SANTANA (MRS C MCCARTHY)
Another quality cream of similar type to 1st. Not quite in full coat, but pleasing for overall balance and quality of conformation. Had a slightly longer stride in front than 1st, but not quite as powerful behind in comparison. Would prefer tighter feet.
3rd DONNADOON BOO GEE WOOGY (MRS M E SHUTT)
Yearling – Dog

1st NAGSHALL JUST SANTANA (MRS C MCCARTHY)

Entries: 1 Absentees: 0
1st NAGSHALL WALKING IN THE SUN (MRS C MCCARTHY)
Cream of similar type to his kennelmate in Junior. Would like to see him carry a bit more weight for optimum condition. Well constructed throughout on table examination, but couldn’t quite get it together on the move, being a little uncoordinated in hind action at times. Held his outline well in profile, keeping a good topline. Would prefer tighter feet.
Post Graduate – Dog
Entries: 1 Absentees: 0
1st ANDYNROMADAX DAVE OF FOLLYFIELD (MRS J L PITFIELD)
Compact, shorter-bodied black and tan. A little stuffy in neck due to slightly upright shoulders. Moderate hind angulation. Kept his outline well moving in profile.
Limit – Dog
Entries: 5 Absentees: 0
1st SUMMERVIEW MAKE WAY FOR ROO (MR D & MISS J CAWLEY & KING)
Compact shaded red of quality. Attractive head and expression, pleasing overall outline with balanced angulation at both ends. Well bodied with good spring of rib. Moved out freely with fluid stride, keeping his outline at all times. Well presented and handled to get the very best from him.
2nd NEERTANAUF SEA MAGIC JW (MRS S A BROAD)
Taller red of equal quality to 1st, but different type. Masculine, well proportioned head with keen expression. Reasonable front angulation, although would benefit from a slightly longer upper arm. Very well angulated hindquarters, enabling him to cover the ground well. Held his outline well at all times in profile. Would just like him to carry a little more weight for optimum condition of body. Very well presented and handled.
3rd NAGSHALL OKLAHOMA SUNRISE JW (MRS C MCCARTHY)
Open
– Dog
Entries: 4 Absentees: 1
1st CH TAMMERA TOUCH OF CLASS ( MRS J HOLMES)
Elegant red of quality. Classic, unexaggerated outline with attractive masculine head and well shaped, dark eye. Correctly placed shoulders, good reach of neck and firm, level topline held at all times both in stance and on the move. Well angulated hindquarters. Correct coat. Moves fluidly and covers the ground with an easy action. I see he is a son of the bitch I gave Best of Breed to last time I judged this breed. Well deserved CC and Best of Breed.
2nd JADAG HEIR APPARENT (MRS D GRAHAM)
Strikingly marked chocolate dapple of quality. Different type to 1st, being slightly longer-cast, but of equal quality of conformation. Well boned throughout, with pleasing body shape and topline. Good shoulder placement and well angulated hindquarters to balance. Moved out freely, but just a little affected by the extreme heat as the class progressed. Reserve CC.
3rd DINKIDUDLOR JANKAY TOORAY (MISS L BEDFORD)
Minor
Puppy – Bitch
Entries: 3 Absentees: 0
1st SUMMERVIEW TITTLE TATTLE (MR D & MISS J CAWLEY & KING)
Shaded red showing much future promise. Well angulated in fore and hindquarters, and pleasing body shape with good spring of rib, top and underline. Well schooled to enable her to show off her virtues on the move. Kept her shape well in profile.
2nd DOLYHARPS ALL TTAT JAZZ AT CHRISKIMS (MRS C & MS K BARNSDALE & HAYWARD-BARNSDALE)
Immature brindle with lovely head and eye. Some of the best feet in the entire entry, being tight and bunchy rather than open and flat, as so many were. Unfortunately just turns them out slightly in front. Well bodied for her age and kept her shape quite well in profile, although she does toe in a little behind and needs to tighten all round.
3rd SUMMERVIEW MAID IN TIME TO DRAVAHLAND (MRS P HAVARD)
Puppy – Bitch
Entries: 8 Absentees: 0
1st TOLBERG TIA DROP AT EMMAJESK (MR, MRS & MR ROWELL)
Black and cream, litter sister to Best Puppy Dog, and very similar to him in type and construction. Attractive, feminine head and expression with dark eye. Well placed shoulders and level topline, held on the move. Good body shape and spring of rib, with well angulated hindquarters to complete the picture. Moved out freely and handler gets the very best from her. Best Puppy in Breed.
2nd SUMMERVIEW TITTLE TATTLE (MR D & MISS J CAWLEY & KING)
3rd NAGSHALL THE RHTHYM OF LOVE (MRS C MCCARTHY)
Junior – Bitch
Entries: 7 Absentees: 0
A few nervous ones in this class unfortunately.
1st NAGSHALL LOVE CHANGES THIS (MRS C MCCARTHY)
Compact, feminine shaded cream of good overall construction. Attractive head with dark, correctly shaped eye. Well placed shoulders, good body shape and spring of rib and well angulated hindquarters. A little out of coat but this enabled her outline to be viewed well on the move. Fluid action, covering the ground well and keeping her shape in profile.
2nd LYNDARLEA PAGEANT (MS L BROOKS)
Shaded cream in better coat than 1st, but just a little lacking in confidence. However, her quality of conformation could not be overlooked. Well angulated at both ends, and held her shape well in profile action. Very promising
3rd HANISHAN LITTLE RED MADAM (MISS WOODVINE-SHONE)
Yearling – Bitch
Entries: 7 Absentees: 0
1st HANISHAN EEZZY MAGIC NITE AT LYNDARLEA (MS L BROOKS)
Beautiful dark shaded red of quality. Caught my eye on the first circuit of the ring with her ground-covering, fluid movement. Did not disappoint on the table examination, having an attractive, feminine head, well placed shoulders, good length of upper arm and prominent breastbone. Correct top and underline and overall body shape and well angulated quarters to finish. Her quality of conformation translated into sound, free movement. Although still immature, she stood out in the final line-up. C.C.
2nd DOUJAC BLOSSOM FOR MOSIARTO (MISS L MUGGLETON)
Very well presented shaded cream, handled to get the very best from her. Slightly taller type than 1st. Pleasing head and expression, well angulated fore and hindquarters enabling her to cover the ground well with good length of stride in profile. Held her topline at all times
3rd YUMARES VICTORIA JANE (MRS J M REES)
Graduate
– Bitch
Entries: 6 Absentees: 2
1st NAGSHALL THE POWER OF LOVE JW (MRS C MCCARTHY)
Red with feminine head and expression, good front and shoulders and well angulated hind quarters. Slightly longer cast than ideal, but held her shape well in profile and covered the ground freely. Moved true up and back. Slightly out of coat.
2nd GLENEDDEE MIZ POPSICLE (MISS L WESTON)
Shaded red in fuller coat than 1st, but not quite holding her shape as well on the move, breaking her stride at times behind. Moderately angulated at both ends with good bone throughout, although she would benefit from carrying a little more weight overall.
3rd JUMANDA’S SUKI (MRS B J CARTWRIGHT)
Post Graduate – Bitch
Entries: 3 Absentees: 0
1st CHELANE CHRISSELL (MRS J A WELTON)
Compact, well bodied light red with attractive, feminine head and appealing expression. Would prefer darker nails, however. Moderately angulated in front and behind, fluid mover in profile, covering the ground well. In beautiful coat and condition.
2nd DOUJAC SIAMSU (MRS J CRAWLEY)
Longer cast, heavier coated cream. Pleasing head and expression, with dark eye. Kept her topline well in profile movement and covered the ground freely.
3rd FOLLYFIELD FLEUR DE LYS (MRS J L PITFIELD)
Limit – Bitch
Entries: 5 Absentees: 2
1st TOLBERG HOLLY’S NEW EDITION SHCM (MRS L BELL)
Well constructed, attractive black and cream. Correctly placed shoulders, with prominent breastbone, good body shape and spring of rib, with firm topline and good underline to match. Hind angulation also good, and moves out soundly, keeping her shape in profile. Well handled.
2nd CLIFFMERE SPECIAL EDITION (MR D & MRS W HALL)
High class shaded red, sadly out of coat today, but this made it easy to see how well constructed she is. Attractive head with feminine outlook, good body shape, top and underline with well angulated hindquarters. Moved out freely and covered the ground well with a good length of stride. Sound up and back action.
3rd TORWOOD HIGH ON ICE (MISS R C JURY)
Open – Bitch
Entries: 8 Absentees: 1
1st TAMMERA JUST ELEGANT ( MRS J HOLMES)
Litter sister to Dog CC winner, with the same quality of conformation and overall type as him. Attractive head with correctly shaped dark eye. Well placed shoulders, good top and underline and hind angulation matches forequarters. Beautifully presented, and not over-coated, which allows her movement to be viewed clearly in profile. Holds her elegant outline at all times. Reserve C.C.
2nd ELDMOUR ELECTRA (MRS W GREEN)
Compact shaded red. Well bodied, with level topline, and good sweep of underline to complement. Slightly less ground clearance than 1st, but correct for length of body. Nothing exaggerated, with balanced angulation at both ends. Kept her shape well viewed in profile and covered the ground well.
3rd ABYDACHS ABSOLUTELY (MISS E H GEESON)
