I would like to take this
opportunity to thank the committee for my invitation to judge Mini Longs at this
very important show, an appointment I had been looking forward to. The number of
entries was impressive and the day most enjoyable. In general the dogs were in
very good order, most coats were cleaned and groomed, some feet needed trimming
and nails clipped, some dirty feet. Presentation is very important. It eemed
there were three different sizes, small, medium and large. I was very pleased
with my final top winners, a very close decision. The DCC winner apparantly
making him up on the day, subject to KC approval, was Angear's Ridgegrove in
Disguise and the BCC and BOB winner was Geeson's Abydachs Absolutely, both
superb specimens of the breed. BP was Worswick's Dolyharps Bitter Sweet, Res DCC
was Young's Ch Willowheath Hendrix and the Res BCC was Angear's Ch Ridgegrove
Jasmine. MPD (3,1) 1 Oxley's Dinkidax Justin Credible. Red,
very promising youngster, good head and overall conformation good. Moved well
for a baby. BPD. 2 McCarthy's Nagshall Mr Tambourine Man. Slightly larger with
good bone, nice tight feet and nice type. Moved well. PD (4,2)
1 McCarthy's Nagshall Mr Tambourine Man. 2 Barnsdale's Chriskins Trail Blazer.
Nice head, good length of ribbing. Moved well keeping his topline. JD
(8,2) 1 Hallsworth's Abydachs Aniseed. Lovely head and neck, good shoulder
placement and a nice level topline. Good rear quarters, moved effortlessly. 2
Barnsdale's Chriskins Trail Blazer. 3 Cooper's Jumand's Renaissance. YD
(2) 1 Oxley's Dinkidax Goodsoul. Nice neat red dog, lovely head and eye. Good
ribbing and rear angulation. 2 McCarthy's Nagshall Just Sultana JW. Well
balanced, good outline kept at all times. Lovely head. PGD (4)
1 Pitfield's Follyfield Figaro. Neat black and tan, lovely head and eye. Good
forechest, level topline and lovely quarters, used well on the move. 2 Young's
Willowheath Floyd. Good bone, nice tight feet and good shoulders. Nice type. 3
Rouse's Doujac Simply Red. LD (7) 1 Cawley and King's Summer
View Make Way for Roo. A shaded red in excellent coat, it was a pleasure to go
over him. Correct head, good shoulders and forechest. Nice long ribbing and well
angulated. Lovely tight feet, well presented and moved with style. 2 Brooks'
Ralines Romeo at Lyndarlea. Light red dog, lovely head and a long neck, level
topline and good angulation. Lovely free movement on lovely light feet. 3
Dickenson's Dinkidax Broxa Boy at Ribblesmere. OD (7) 1
Angear's Ridgegrove in Disguise. B/T dog of quality. Lovely head and eye,
excelling in neck and a lovely oval forechest. Good ribbing, correctly
angulated. Moved off on well knucked feet with ample drive. I was well pleased
to have awarded him the CC, which made him up on the day. 2 Young's Willowheath
Hendrix. Another quality b/t, lovely outline. Correct head and eye, long neck
running into correct shoulder placement. Excellent ribbing, well muscled which
showed in his movement. Res CC. 3 Walter's Ch Ralines Just Ozzie. Vet
(1) 1 Broad's Jenwood Ring of Bells. 13 years old and on his own. He really gave
it his all and moved round the ring so freely, he obviously enjoyed every moment
of it. MPB (10) 1 Graham's Jadag Fancy That. Immature B/T
puppy, showing promise. A bit unsettled on the day, pretty head with lovely dark
pigment. Good ribbing, in lovely condition throughout. 2 Brown's Xemxija Ice
Mimosa at Devoncream. Pretty cream, nice dark eye. Good topline and ribbing,
nice tight feet and moved well. 3 Johnson's Charpurdy Just Willow. PB
(10) 1 Worswick's Dolyharps Bitter Sweet. Has the quality and type needed.
Pretty head and dark pigment, excellent front assembly, nice neat feet and a
good length of ribbing. Well balanced throughout. Very mature puppy, should have
a bright future. BPB. 2 Young's Willowheath Adele. Nice type, well balanced and
in good coat and condition. Moved well. 3 Palin's Saucy Serah. JB
(14,3) 1 Lockett-Walter's Ralines Popping Kandi. Pretty cream, very pretty head
with dark pigment. Lovely reach of neck, nice tight elbows and a level topline.
Well angulated, in top condition and moved well on lovely tight feet. 2 Angear's
Ridgegrove Polly Anna. Pretty red bitch, all quality. Good dark pigment and
correct front assembly. Lovely long ribbing, well ngulated and moved well fore
and aft. 3 Cawley and King's Summerview Tittle Tattle. YB
(10,1) 1 Young's Willowheath Foxy Music. Shaded red bitch of quality, good
overall picture and lovely tight feet. Well ribbed and good angulation. Moved
well fore and aft. 2 Angear's Ridgegrove Bell of the Ball. Quality b/t bitch,
lovely feminine head and dark eye. Correct front construction, ample ribbing and
well angulated. Moved freely. 3 James' Jamesfair It's in the Mix. PGB
(12,1) 1 Young's Nagshall Ivory Addition with Willowheath. Pretty golden bitch,
adequate front and a good lay of shoulder. Well ribbed with nice short loin.
Moved well. 2 Welton's Chelane Chrissell. Smaller and clear red with good
shoulders. Good length of ribbing, looked a picture stacked but lost her topline
slightly on the move. 3 Brooks' Hanishan Eezzy Magic Nite at Lyndarlea.
LB (15,3) 1 Lockett-Walter's Ralines Diamond Cluster. Lovely feminine
b/t, I loved her. She ticked all the boxes for her excellent condition,
unfortunate for her was rather a fidget on the day, which spoilt her movement
and chences to go further. 2 Young's Willowheath Lulu. Excellent shape and
condition, good head and eye. Correct shoulder placement, prominent front, good
depth of keel and well angulated. 3 Cawley and King's Little Miss Honeybun for
Summerview. OB (13,2) 1 Geeson's Abydachs Absolutely. I was
delighted to have awarded this young lady the CC and BOB on the day. What an
elegant b/t bitch of such quality. A Standard in Miniature, very pretty head,
adequate forequarters and length of ribbing. Quality throughout, didn't falter
on the move. 2 Angear's Ch Ridgegrove Jasmine. Another very elegant b/t bitch of
equal quality, can change places at any time. Good length of neck, excellent
shoulder placement and long ribbing. So glamorous, just preferred the steadier
movement of the winner for top position. Res CC. 3 McAlpine and Coxon's Ch Ir Ch
Walpines Brandy Cream.
